- vassia00Best way to see the city if you have not or even have visited before! We booked this on Monday the 1st of May. It was 3 of us plus 3 other so a small group. We all enjoyed it a lot as there was lots of things to see and also Learn. It was magnificent seeing Lisbon as the light changed going into sunset and then into the night. Our guide was excellent and he took care of us always making sure we were safe. We had a lot of fun and definitely recommend this to both tourists and locals. Much better than any sailing tour and you can see so much more.
- Trouard00Great way to explore LisbonWe had a great time with Antonio. He was really knowledgable about the city and took us to a couple of hidden food gems. Would highly recommend.
- kellynda00Awesome tour even in a rainy dayThe food tour with Antonio was great. We had a rainy day but Antonio’s information, the sites and the places he took us to eat were worthy. Loved the bifanas in Alonso’s place I tried to find them even in Porto but no luck, have to go back to Lisbon again :)
- Harry K00A great afternoon in a great cityMy favorite part was Carolina our guide. She was knowledgeable, spirited, enthusiastic and kept us safe riding around Lisbon. We had a great time, plus my wife is a vegetarian and Carolina was very accommodating.
- leeeV4619FQ00Food and bike tourA ton of fun. Antonio was great. He took us to areas we never would have found by ourselves. Definitely recommend.
- LaBalise00Evening Lisbon tripGreat knowledgeable guide who had lovely anecdotes but also incredible history awareness of Lisbon through the ages.
- Paradise3461211047300This Operator Needs to Fix A Lot of Minor IssuesOne of the reasons we booked this tour is because the promotional photos show "step through" bicycles suitable for ladies. The bikes ARE NOT step through and although the bar is low, it was a bit of a problem for 2 of the ladies in our group. The promotional photos also show riders wearing yellow safety vests - no such vests were provided. The bikes all had minor maintenance issues, from misaligned brake handles to floppy and loose lights and a loose kickstand. The most troubling issue though was the lack of attention to safety by our guide. The orientation was very quick and general with no individual checking of helmet fitting, seat heights, or bike size suitability for each rider - I had to set up my wife's bike for her. In addition, most of the bikes were in the wrong gear for starting off, making the first mount difficult. The guide failed to obey traffic lights and even led us a across a pedestrian crossing when the light was red - a car came close to one of our group as a result. The guide had no mirror on his bike so he had no idea what was happening behind him, made sudden turns, took us the wrong way down a one way street, and generally lacked consideration for his followers. Finally, the bikes are tail heavy with a battery on the carrier above the rear wheel and a rear hub drive. This makes the steering wobbly because of the light front end - I am a VERY experienced mountain bike rider and it even took me a while to get used to the bike.
- lkpm300Highly recommend even if you are not much of a bikerWe had a fabulous tour with Antonio. Just the two of us. And boy did we get to see lots of Lisbon! Places you won't see on a walking tour and the pace of biking is much better than a car tour! Plus you feel like you got a bit of exercise! I'm not super in shape and did fine. Nor am I a great bike expert. Totally manageable with the electric assist. Some of the downhills were a bit hair raising though my spouse thought they were fine. Relax d pace and a couple of stops for food. Definitely a must do
- Joanna R00WONDERFUL STAFF!!!The ebikes I wanted to rent were already soldout so I did not rent anything, but all my contact with the staff was soooo nice, soooo professional, so willing-to-help that I had to mention it here, even though I have not finally be able to test the bikes. Thank you for being so nice!:))
- 2830tara00Antonio and the bikes are a MUST!Antonio was an absolute keeper! He took us all over the city and we tasted local food, had delicious beer and wine. The bikes were fantastic! Antonio was very knowledgeable in history, city planning and could answer any questions we had! We didn’t feel rushed, in fact we were the only ones on the tour and he made sure that we felt as though we could take our time and really take in all the sites! I would not only recommend this bike tour but especially Antonio! This is a MUST if you want to cover a lot of ground while having a ball!!!
- TabLeonard00Great Food Tour by BikeOur guide was amazing very knowledgeable of the history and the places we went to eat, well let's just say they were visited again. So good, worth it.
- matthewsQ3370AW00Best way to see LisbonThis eBike tour is the best way to see Lisbon. Our tour guide was Carolina, and she was fantastic. She took us to some beautiful scenic viewpoints, her knowledge of the city’s history was impressive, and the food we tried was INSANELY GOOD. She was even able to accommodate my friend’s dietary restrictions. The eBikes were very easy to ride, and we felt safe the entire time. This tour will be the highlight of your trip!
- Giuseppe M00Fantastic Ebike tour ariun LisbonFantastic and immersive tour with Joao who immediately brings me in the multicultural atmosphere of this historical city. We biked almost 20 km, going up and down , luckly with a very useful ebike! I strongly recommend this tour. I’ll be back for the kayak tour!
- Bradleyadams199600BRILLIANT TRIP!Phenomenal trip with a great guide! We had so much fun, it’s honestly worth every penny! Definitely recommended to any sea lovers!!
- ana_sr58800Great experienceFun day with great guides ! We enjoyed every moment from the ride out of Lisbon to the kayak and picnic !

Started our trip to Lisbon with the bike tour. What a brilliant decision. The tour takes you through the intimate streets of the old town, using high points to learn about the geography and history of the city. That might sound rather dry but Ricardo, our guide, was so knowledgeable and interesting that it was a joy. Afterwards his recommendations for places to visit were really helpful led to some great days out. Highly recommend this tour.

Antonio our guide was great.
He was super friendly and knowledgeable.
He took us up and down the twisty historic streets of Lisbon, providing tidbits of information based on the area and circumstance.
The e-bikes flattened out the hills very nicely and the 4 power levels allowed the weakest rider to keep up.
This tour is a great and sometimes thrilling introduction to the charms of Lisbon covering way more ground than any other form of transportation.
Highly recommended.

Super tour led by Antonio. Good pace, lots of useful information about Lisbon. Group was 8 including our family. The electric bikes were very good and took the effort out of navigating Lisbon’s steep hills. Would recommend as a way of getting to know the old parts of the town early in your trip.

The best tour guide I have ever had. The leader was a paragon of what a tour guide should be. He had an unparalleled ability to be informative, engaging and friendly. He had a genuine passion for the history of the city of Lisbon and explained it in a way that was entertaining and thought provoking, while also happy to engage in chats as we cycled throughout the city. It felt like you were cycling around the city with a close friend who grew up in the area rather than a paid tour guide. If you are in Lisbon this is the best way to start your stay.

Great fun afternoon, fun trip around the city with x2 guides helping with cycling in the traffic and giving some interesting historical info along the way . I would say you do need a moderate level of fitness and reasonably confident on a bike . But the electric makes it very doable for majority and was a fun way of seeing a large amount of the city in only two and bit hours , I highly recommend it .

A fabulous tour of old Lisbon! Xavior provided a fabulous tour for us, up and down the hills of Lisbon, through all of the old city. The bikes were top notch and very comfortable...no problem for us to negotiate the cobblestones streets and intricate neighbourhoods. Xavior was awesome!

A fun way to sight-see through the small and twisty streets of the eastern parts of Lisbon. Compared to a walking tour, you cover a lot ground and it is that much more thrilling and fun, but there is less history and talking. Nonetheless the guide gives you a comprehensive feel of the city and points out important buildings,so we learned a lot. We’ve never ridden electric bikes but we did well. (My kids and husband downhill bike so they were fine and I can street bike and I was okay). The electric bikes are so easy you barely break a sweat going uphill and you are rewarded with stellar viewpoints. It may not be for you if you’re not a confident on a bike as the hills are steep and the cobblestone and tram lines need some finesse to go around. There’s some instruction at the beginning and at some points of the trip it seemed that someone from the company can come to give you a fresh battery or take you back. It was a highlight of our trip so I recommend it for the memory making!

Our guide, Carolina, warm heartedly greeted us and explained the ease of using an electric bicycle. We were a group of 6 adults with varied abilities at riding and felt comfortable the whole trip in a busy city. We were delighted on how much territory we covered through different neighborhoods. The pace was relaxed with stops for photos and refreshments. Carolina’s knowledge of Portugal’s history was broad and interesting. Biking is a great way to see a city! Everyone was happy!

Antonio was very knowledgeable and friendly. Thought we would do this tour to get familiar with the lay of the city for the remainder of the trip, but we took so many small alleys and roads that we had only a slight idea of where we were. Not Antonio’s fault, just due to Lisbons streets. Ebike was awesome, but also due to Lisbon’s winding cobblestone streets and hills, this tour was more than just a meandering bike ride. Would highly recommend as Antonio took us to many parts of the city that we might not have otherwise seen. The company provided water, I would recommend taking a snack or eating before hand.

This could be a fun and informative adventure. I have taken E-bike tours in Nice and Athens, both experiences memorable, which is why our family decided to do one in Lisbon.
The bikes were set out before we arrived, and everyone was friendly and enthusiastic. We got helmets and asked about our riding abilities. Unfortunately the women's bikes with easy leg passes shown on the website do not exist, so be prepared to pull leg over, which is fine except if you feel only comfortable with being about to get on and off easily.
No vests given either as picture shows. The guide was hasty at telling us about the gears and turbo option, maybe because we said we were familiar with ebikes. Unfortunately there was no riding around on flat surface to get oriented to bike or turbo, just right up a steep hill. All bikes are different, and it's essential and everyone prove to the guide responsible that the folks on the tour are proficient at riding, steering, changing the gears, using the turbo, and breaking. There were a few times that coming to a busy intersection, we came to a stop, but without keeping your hands on the breaks, the bike continues to lunge forward. Immediately I personally knew the turbo function was not going to be adequate for these hills. It has 3 levels, where the bikes I've had in the other experiences had 5. That level of power gives you the true confidence and support needed in steep hills like those in the Alfama neighborhood. My husband who rides everyday at home had difficulty on a few of the hills. I, being a large, but active woman, had challenges on almost every hill, which should not have been the case. Having to walk up the hill AND push the heavy bike, only made the experience much more difficult, and discouraging.
We passed areas that were attractive and would have liked to know more about, and stopped at areas too long that would have been better to pass up.
The guide was attentive to us all and encouraging to me to not give up, but with more information about the area, a 1/2 hour less, and more efficient e-bikes, I know we all would have enjoyed the experience so much better.

We will be visiting oct 25-28, we ride electric bikes at home but have concerns about traffic and cobblestone streets. Do you ride in bike lanes?

No there are no bike lanes but the guide was very good about making sure that we were safe when crossing the street and in traffic. We were a group on 6 including the guide. We truly enjoyed it and if you are used to using the bicycle I would say you should see the city on bikes.

Hello. When we were there we did not see any grandmas. Also, the route used would be impossible or even dangerous on a tandem. Hope this helps.
