Highly recommend the private wine tour with Jose, very friendly and reliable tour guide/driver. Jose picked us from the hotel and dropped us off at the end of the day. Beyond the delicious wine, you get to see many beautiful spots in Colares and Sintra regions. Jose also made sure that we had plenty of time in Cascais (beautiful town) to enjoy a fantastic seafood and have time to explore the town and some delicious gelato.

Fantastic tour led by the great Jose Ribeiro. We had very specific requirements in that we are tour started in Lisbon but our trip carried on to Cascais. Jose was more than happy to accommodate our travel requirements and our luggage. In fact, every aspect of our tour was tailored to our specific interests. Jose was happy to lend his expertise and his opinions, but the trip was otherwise catered to our whims. We asked to see some of the beach areas north of Cascais just to save us the day-trips we had planned. He was more than happy to accommodate. Jose is a delightful tour guide, full of stories and knowledge and energy and kindness. He really bonded with our whole family.

World class experience. I have been apart of many wine tours in the past, but none have been elevated to what I got to experience with José. Most of the tours you’ll take are the normal and the same ole same ole(same thing no matter where you go). This was far from it, you get to actually experience the culture in a way I was hoping too/didn’t think I was going to get. If you aren’t booking this experience with José, you’re missing out. His personality, energy, and knowledge are everything you could imagine and more. Wish he could travel with us for our whole trip!!

If you’re visiting Portugal for the first time or for the fiftieth, this is an experience you cannot miss. Our guide Jose was incredible, it would not have been the same without his invaluable historical and cultural contextual knowledge. Pena Castle has a rich and storied history, and Jose was able to bring it to life through his guidance whilst never being overbearing. We were able to set our own pace throughout the day, which made it fly by as if we weren’t there for 10 hours. Moorish Castle is an incredible testament to Portugal’s fortitude and diversity, whilst being one of the most authentic looking 10th century castles you can find. Providing unparalleled views of the surrounding hills and forests — which we learned contain some 3000 different species of flora. Regaliera is one of the most picturesque places we’ve ever visited, and getting lost in the ornate wells and gardens, traversing down towards caves towards palaces felt magical. Jose was kind enough to show us to an authentic Portuguese restaurant which had delicious local food and atmosphere, we felt at home everywhere we went. Lost in conversation, we couldn’t believe how quickly time flew by. Unforgettably memorable experience, and we’d love to visit again someday. We started the day as strangers, by the end we felt like we were leaving as friends.

We did a full day Sintra tour with our wonderful guide Jose, visiting four monuments (Peña Palace, Moorish Castle, Sintra National Palace, and Regaleira). The tour was completely private (just the two of us) with Jose who double dutied as our guide and driver. Jose was knowledgeable and friendly, and he is well experienced to know the ins and outs of the places we visited as well as good recommendations for food and drinks in the area. I would not hesitate to recommend this tour, and Jose!
