Good way to see all Lisbon but don't rely on audio working
Well organised and frequent service, buses clean and drivers all friendly. However audio is poor both in terms of quality, very repetitive and mostly music rather than interesting facts and on many buses it wasn't working well

      Don’t Red Bus in Lisbon
The worst Red bus city tour I have been on. These are usually excellent. The commentary was poor and not in alignment with the bus. The music in between the comments got on the nerves. The bus stopped at two of the stops for at least 15 minutes. The stops were not announced by number let alone at all. No wonder we got 2 days for the price of 1 ! Don’t let it stop you using the Red bus in other cities

      Trip to Evora
Picked up for the tour, which left right on time. Marisa kept us to schedule and itinerary. She was knowledgeable and approachable. We had only a half filled bus, meaning we had lots of space. Marisa was extra attentive to some of our passengers who had mobility issues. We covered the highlights of Evora well and enjoyed the winery visit.

      Full of promise, reality disappointing.
We bought a 2 line ticket, red and green lines over 48 hours. On the red line on the first day the driver missed 3 stops which meant that we had a 25 minute walk to get back to where we wanted to be. The next day on the green line we waited at stop 3 for 50 minutes for a bus to continue our journey then when a bus did turn up there was no room. The driver estimated that another would be along in 15 minutes but no guarantee that this would also be full. We were very disappointed.

      Avoid
We suggest to avoid. It’s (the hop on hop off model)worked well for us in other world-cities but the traffic is too heavy in Lisbon to allow the buses to be any way on time. We had to wait in full sun heat for well over half an hour for one (having narrowly missed one due to a very unhelpful staff member at the stop). The narration on tape is dreadful (long bouts of boring music interspersed with repetitive drivel about some of the sights - I don’t want to hear about the Hard Rock Cafe three times thanks). Many of the staff at stop #1 were varying unhelpful to down right rude. We eventually just got off and walked around.

      Terrible service never again
Reviews should be constructive, we used the Green and Red line bus. THEREFORE. Improve the audio, the sound was limited to just about hearable, the content was insufficient , eg. advising we were at bus stop 13 after the bus had stopped, how about telling me before it arrives at the stop. No information on a potential sight till we had passed. No relevant information in any leaflet about what could be seen at places listed at the stops. Would we visit Lisbon again, Yes Would we use you bus again, NEVER

      Not a good service
Not worth the price we paid. Buses don’t run regular enough, the app does not correspond with the bus stops. Very confusing where to get the bus. Waited half an hour for a bus at stop 13 on purple line only to see it diverted away from us. No mention anywhere it wasn’t stopping at this stop! 4 adults, 2 young children, had to get an Uber back to hotel. Travelled to Oceanario through residential areas of Lisbon. No headphones or commentary, maybe because nothing to comment on!! Again long wait for bus to go back into town. Over 120 euros for 2 days, definitely not worth the money. Buses need to run more regularly. Never again!

      Literal waste of time
This was a literal waste of time. Waited long to get on the bus which seemed to have no real schedule. The app didn’t work so you’re really left to wait and wonder where exactly each stop was (no real signage) and when to expect the bus. When we were finally on the bus, the tour recording was lacking and often announced the stop and attractions at that stop as the bus was pulling off! Too late at that point to get off. We wanted to get off at times but worried about how long we would be stuck at a particular stop so we just stayed on. We finally decided to just walk and take public transport to get around. Much better use of our time.

      Hop in and stay on!!
We paid for the hop on hop off Lisbon, 72 hrs, complete package. We spent almost as much time waiting for the bus as we did riding. When we did catch the bus it was fun and informative, but unfortunately could not depend on the times. Ended up only using about 1/2 our time as felt it wasn’t worth the frustration.

      Yellow Bus is Much Better
Don't waste your time. We bought tickets then were refused entry to the bus, he gave us the wrong tickets and said we could buy more line but the bus had left already. Poor service and even if you have the right ticket it does not always scan correctly.

      Bad experience
Picked up a tour bus and paid for a ticket at the cruise terminal in Lisbon. Was not put off by road works. Informed by the lady that the bus is every 30 minutes was not the case. Ear plug inn's not working on a loop. Lady bus driver tried to reset and fix problem. Tour got on. Then we pulled in to transfer on to another packed tour bus. Informed issue with bus ok. People who could not fit on stayed on the bus that we got off? Which followed behind us. Got off at bus hub to be informed to get on another line to go back to the cruise terminal that we have to wait one and a half hours? Not 30 minutes as Informed. Then, I got back on the same bus on the gray line bus stop 5 to walk back to the cruise terminal. NOT A NICE EXPERIENCE. Put me off.

      Not what we expected.
We foolishly chose these thinking it was the more well known city hop on hop off company, it isn't. These buses are every hour and because of that they are really not hop on, hop off, for example we went to one town, and although we did enjoy the journey there, we could either choose from having 1 hour in the town, or 5 hours, there really needed to be extra buses coming along more frequently. We ended up getting the train back.

too much money for a bad service
Waste of money. If you buy an online ticket you can not use the digital ticket you get. It should be changed to a paper one (printed on thermo paper). After two days the QR code was not readable anymore and they could not give me a new tickets. The public transport is great in Lissabon. For 6,80 per day you travel (including tram 28) to everywhere!

Not worth the cost, hire a local taxi
The staff were disinterested and like other reviewers mention, the commentary does not link with the ride and there is no information beofre the stop to tell you what to see and encourage you to get off. The timings are erratic, we waited 45 minutes at one stop, gave up and took a cab to the next stop, then waited there, with a lot of other people who had been there for ages, and still no bus. So 44 euros for one half hour trip as we abandoned.

While the mall is designed and looks well, 50% (the cinema complex) is closed. Bargains are in short supply, despite every shop proclaiming up to 70% off ... many have just one or two items, with a limited range. As for eating/refreshments - only three actual outlets and some vans dotted about. All overpriced. Try to escape and you will find you are in the middle of nowhere with the dreaded Freeport bus (which you have to pay for ... so you can spend money with them), an infrequent and very slow public bus or Uber, being your only options. Lisbon has some great malls and wonderful shopping - Freeport is not one of them. When we visited, there were more staff than actual shoppers ... perhaps the locals know better?

I promise never go back to freeport because my bad experience there, but in my latest travel there last week, my friend wanted to go and I reluctantly agreed. This time my advice is "Don't go to the Customer service desk if you speak with a Brazilian accent!! Paula the attendant call me a liar me, when I went to ask for the tourist discount!!!according to her I was not genuinely an turist!! (even though I showed her my British passport, driving licence, credit cards etc...) My big mistake was being polite with my dear friend and speak her language (I do speak French, Japanese, English and Portuguese Brazilian). My friend and I were astonished, this time is for real!! not even if you pay me I will go back to this place.
