The closest subway stations are: Rossio (green line) and Restauradores (blue line).
  • Campo das Cebolas, 1100 Lisboa, Portugal Campo das Cebolas (Rua dos Bacalhoeiros / Rua da Alfândega) is a nice square, with a nice garden with a lawn, playground and restaurants. The nearest subway station is Terreiro do Paço (blue line).
Additional information
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult.
  • A minimum of 3 people (2 adults + 1 child or 1 adult + 2 child) per booking is required
  • Subject to favorable weather conditions. If canceled due to poor weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund.
  • Although it is very interesting, the city pavement can become very irregular. Also, because the city has many sloped streets (Lisbon is known as the city of 7 hills), it might become a bit difficult for baby strollers and pushchairs. If you need to bring one, make sure it is a light, thin one. Baby carriers, back carriers or woven wraps & slings are a good option for babies and toddlers
  • Make sure you and the kids wear comfortable clothes and shoes. A coat or a sweater might be useful even in summer time, because it gets cold after sunset. In summertime, don't forget to bring a hat and sunglasses for all (Lisbon is known by its fantastic bright sunlight) and make sure you apply sunscreen before starting the tour. In winter or rainy weather, don't forget to bring a raincoat
  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • Stroller accessible

  • Near public transportation
  • Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
  • The total distance walked will be 2,5 miles approximately, including a tram ride on the steepest hill of Bica, if available (please note that the waiting line for the tram can quite long, as the trams depart every 10/15 minutes with a maximum capacity of 22 passengers inside and also the tram may be closed due to unexpected technical issues without prior notice - in these cases the group wil walk down the hill).
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund

My family loved our tour of Lisbon with Mariana! We booked the Essential Lisbon Tour for the day we arrived and it was a perfect orientation to the city. Mariana did a wonderful job engaging our 7 and 9 year old daughters with fun activities and adjusting the tour a bit during a few parts our girls were getting a bit tired :) We especially loved the scavenger hunt! The tour was also super informative- all four of us also learned so much about the history and culture of Lisbon which made the rest of our time in the city so much better. It was great to find a tour like this tailored for families, highly recommended!

We booked the Essential Lisbon 3 hour walking tour with our two children, aged 7 and 9. We arranged this for the first morning of our visit in Lisbon and we all enjoyed it.

Mariana provides such insight into all areas of Lisbon life, its history and geography. In particular the children enjoyed learning about Lisbon’s history and the challenge provided by Mariana with her game in Barrio Alto.

I highly recommend Little Lisbon tours to any family looking to learn about Lisbon in a fun, friendly, personal and relaxed way. We hope to return and enjoy some other Little Lisbon tours.

We had a very enjoyable 3 hour walk with Mariana. She kept our 6 year old engaged the whole time with little games and tasks while also passing on many interesting facts, history and stories of Lisbon. Highly recommended for families with kids.

Our kids (ages 7 and 10) loved the tour with Mariana. They wanted to give it 10 out of 5 stars. We often do walking tours in Europe when we travel with them and this one was by far the best one. Mariana kept their attention the entire time. She had many hands-on activities and a wonderful scavenger hunt for us to do. We learned a lot about the history of Portugal and it was all presented in a very accessible way. Mariana speaks English amazingly well and her interaction with kids was just amazing. She was also very happy to answer any questions that we (mom and dad) had for her, so people of all ages can have a wonderful time on these tours. There were many wonderful surprises and fun activities. I don't want to mention them all so that I don't ruin the surprise for other families. Dear Mariana, Thank you so much for making our trip to Lisbon so memorable!

Being that it was our first time to Portugal and that we were travelling with 3 little ones, aged 2, 4 and 8, we knew that we wanted to explore the city but consider what our kids would enjoy. When we came across this tour option, we were really excited and could see all the positives. The flexibility of the private tour meant we were able to learn about the wonderful history of Portugal but move around the city at our own pace, allowing us to even stop for an ice-cream when the kids needed a break, and Marianna, our guide was very informative, friendly, and wonderfully accommodating. The highlight of the tour was absolutely the scavengers hunt which was just perfect for the children, and offered us a unique way to explore the city. For the adults, the private tour gave us the opportunity to ask questions that we all wanted to ask so the tour was great for us too. I thoroughly recommend this tour to everyone!

Our family (boys 8 and 10) really enjoyed our tour. It was easy to find our amazing, warm & knowledgeable guide (Marissa). We had a fun, healthy walk around the downtown- including engaging activities and stories. Highly recommended for one of your first days in town. Four thumbs up!

We were lucky enough to take the Essential Lisbon tour with Leticia with our family of 5. Leticia was warm and knowledgable and went at a pace that worked well for us. The kids had fun with various "challenges" given to them and we all learned a lot about Lisbon and its rich history. This was an excellent way for us become acquainted with the city on the second full day of our trip.

We also had a wonderful day in Sintra with Mariana. She was incredibly patient, kind, and flexible with our family. Our daughter was not feeling well and our son with Down syndrome had a difficult time with parts of the Pena Palace because he is afraid of heights. Mariana was incredibly helpful in getting us back on track and arranged for us to have lunch at a cozy local restaurant. From there we had a wonderful afternoon at Quinta da Regaleira, a magical place that the while family just loved.

Oh, and I should mention that both Leticia and Mariana treated us to amazing and delicious local pastries during our tours! I would highly recommend Little Lisbon for curious kids/families! Thank you Leticia and Mariana!

We had the tour with our two lively boys (10 and 8 years) on the first morning of our stay in Lisbon.
That gave us the perfect way to get our bearings for the rest of the trip. Our guide was very engaging and struck a great balance of interesting the grown ups and the children in equal measure. She also gave us great tips for the rest of our time.
Would recommend to any families exploring Lisbon for the first time.

We had a family tour with Mariana and she was just excellent. She interacted well with our kids, 14,11, and 4. It was interesting to walk around the city, ride the tram, and do the scavenger hunts.

This is a really amazing walking tour. I would have liked it without kids but it was really special with them. My children are 9, 7, and 3 and the tour guide not only tailored her information towards children, she also had games and scavenger hunts to engage them for the entire three hours. We live in the Lisbon area but had not done a tour of Lisbon until grandparents came to town. We all learned a ton - those of us who live in Portugal and those of us who do not!

We elected for the Essential Lisbon tour. I warn you that it is a lot of walking with very little time to sit. My Apple Watch marked over 6 km which is a lot for a three year old but she was a trooper. We had to switch off carrying her in intervals towards the end. I did not bring a stroller. I could have but that would have probably made it harder to push her on bumpy rides over some steep cobbles.

Our tour guides were Julia and Mariana and it was a pleasure to spend a morning with them! Cannot recommend this tour enough!
