  • Praça Dom Pedro IV, 1100-202 Lisboa, Portugal
(in front of National Theatre D. Maria II) Nearest subway stations: Rossio (green line) and Restauradores (blue line)
End:
  • Campo das Cebolas, 1100 Lisboa, Portugal

  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • Service animals allowed
  • Near public transportation
If you have questions about accessibility, we’d be happy to help. Just call the number below and reference the product code: 14648P1

  • Children must be accompanied by an adult.
  • A minimum of 4 people (2 adults + 2 children) per booking is required (or equivalent paid amount for smaller groups/families)
  • Subject to favorable weather conditions. If canceled due to poor weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund.
  • Although it is very interesting, the city pavement can become very irregular. Also, because the city has many sloped streets (Lisbon is known as the city of 7 hills), it might become a bit difficult for baby strollers and pushchairs. If you need to bring one, make sure it is a light, thin one. Baby carriers, back carriers or woven wraps & slings are a good option for babies and toddlers.
  • Make sure you and the kids wear comfortable clothes and shoes. A coat or a sweater might be useful even in summer time, because it gets cold after sunset. In summertime, don't forget to bring a hat and sunglasses for all (Lisbon is known by its fantastic bright sunlight) and make sure you apply sunscreen before starting the tour. In winter or rainy weather, don't forget to bring a raincoat.
  • Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund
  • This is a private tour/activity. Only your group will participate

  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours in advance of the start date of the experience.

The best thing we did in Lisbon
This tour was the best thing we did during our trip to Lisbon. Our guide Rafael was amazing. The tour was really geared toward our kids, 7 and 10, and we, the parents, just came along for the ride. The pacing was excellent. As soon as our kids' attention began to wane, Rafael was ready with another fun activity that got them re-engaged. He even bought the whole family treats as a reward for a successful scavenger hunt :)) Rafael was also kind enough to answer the adults' questions and provide very helpful recommendations :) Three hours flew by, and we were sad to say goodbye. Our kids are still talking days later about the amazing private tour they had. I cannot recommend it highly enough if you are traveling in Lisbon with kids. Thank you so, so much to Rafael and Little Lisbon for this special experience!

Great Tour of Lisbon for Kids and Adults Alike
Our family of seven, including three grandparents and two kids (ages 9 and 12), took the three hour Essential Lisbon tour with Maria. Maria was wonderful - super smart and knowledgeable about all things Lisbon and so great with the kids. She had several scavenger hunts to keep things interesting and extended the tour graciously when we ran short on time. Booking was easy. Highly recommend.

    Great tour
Lovely tour with Julia. Learned lots and was a great way to get our bearings on our first day in Lisbon. We enjoyed the trip on the tram and the custard tart. Our daughter was a little bored at times, I was expecting it to be a little more child focussed but we did enjoy the second challenge finding our way around Barrio Alto.

Fun tour of Belém for the whole family
We took the Sea Heroes of Belém tour with Julia and had a fun time despite the rain and wind. Julia made the tour informative and fun, and adapted to our kids' age & personality. The highlight of course was the mini-tour of the pasteis de Belém bakery complete with tasting. I absolutely recommend having Julia as a tour guide, she was friendly and genuine, and the 3 hours flew by.

    Absolutely Brilliant
Highly recommended for anyone visiting Lisbon with kids. The guide kept our 6 and 7 year old kids entertained for 3 hours in 40 degree heat, teaching them about the history of Lisbon and ensuring they relate to everything she said. The guide was also great at amending the tour due to the heat and adding plenty of ice cream stops. I'd give more than 5 stars if I could!

    Great family tour of Sintra!
Marianna was a very good guide and was super patient with our kids. She knew so much history about the destinations we visited in Sintra and she was a terrific navigator for our family. My kids still talk about Initiation Well and the story she told us about the kings brother who was locked in a room for 9 years! Her passion for Portugal is very evident in the stories and knowledge she shared.

    Great tour with Alexander
Great tour with Alexander; he was informative, warm with kids, and aware of our needs (e.g., making sure we stopped in the shade for discussion).

Fun ...if you don't mind walking uphill.
We enjoyed the attention the guide paid to our children ages 4,5,7 and 9. He made it fun and information for them. Especially the activities that kept them engaged. The only negative aspect was the hills! Our little ones didn't have the energy to walk up the many hilly streets and the parents had to carry them in 90 degree heat. We would have rather taken an Uber or another means of transport up to the Bairro Alto. We didn't expect such an effort on our part and were not given a choice.

    Highly recommend
This tour was a highlight of our trip, for all 3 generations. We all learned a lot but there was far less talking than other tours. Our guide did a great job keeping us in the shade, showing us things as well as telling us and including the most important parts. We all loved the scavenger hunt and pastry samples!

    Perfect tour with kids!
I did so much research on the right tour for our group with 6 kids & 8 adults and I'm so glad I went with Little Lisbon! Raphael was so knowledgable and was so incredible with our kids. They were holding his hand only a few minutes into the tour and giving him big hugs at the end. The tour itself is so well thought out to entertain & teach kids in such simple ways! We especially loved finding a tour that included a tram ride & treats! We didn't hear a single complaint about walking during the tour (which was miraculous)! We had kids 7, 6, 3 years old. (Plus a couple babies but they weren't really included which, we expected) Couldn't recommend it enough, everyone raved about how perfect it was for our big family group!

Fun tour for the whole family!
We had a great time on our tour with Little Lisbon - highly recommended! Our tour guide, Julia, was extremely friendly and informative, and made the tour fun both for our kids (12 and 9) and us adults. Almost all of the stops on the tour (Rossio Square, Elevador Santa Justa, Carmo Convent, Ascensor Bica, Time Out Market, and Praca do Comercio) were ones that I had identified as must-sees through my own research, but the tour made it much more engaging - no way my kids would have stuck with a 3-hour walking tour with me leading the way. We also learned a lot about the history and culture of Lisbon, and walked through some neighborhoods and backstreets that we never would have discovered otherwise. The tour is also customizable if you want a slightly different itinerary or prefer to make more rest/snack stops along the way.

    Amazing family-friend tour of Lisbon
This tour was exactly what our family needed as first-time visitors to Lisbon. We took the tour with our 10 and 14-year-olds, and it was awesome. Our guide, Maria, was so knowledgeable and made the tour very enjoyable for both the kids and adults. We all especially loved the scavenger hunt in Bairro Alto and the elevator ride toward the end. We highly recommend this to other families looking for a way to make sightseeing in Lisbon fun and engaging for the whole family! Thank you for providing this experience!

    Best tour for families
We did the essential Lisbon tour with Julia with our 8 & 10 year old kids and another family. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Portugal. We learned so much and the kids had a blast. I would book it again in a heartbeat!

We had the best tour with Miguel! It was so nice to be with a guide who could talk about the history of the city in engaging, age appropriate ways! He was knowledgable and totally understanding of our 5 and 7 year old. We loved the scavenger hunt to find the different tiles throughout the city and the smell test of the different spices and plants that various settlers brought to Lisbon. Such a fun way to learn about the rich history of the city.

Our family loved our “Genuine” Lisbon tour. Mariana, a Lisbon native and our guide, made the content enjoyable for our twelve-year old tween and for us. Unlike many traditional tours for adults where the tour guide does mostly talking and explaining, Little Lisbon tours encourage active participation by integrating all the senses, sight, sound, touch, and smell. We learned so much history in such a fun interactive way! I highly recommend Little Lisbon tours for families.

Mariana gave us a wonderful tour of Mouraria, Castelo and Alfama as part of the Genuine Lisbon tour. Our young children (ages 8, 5, and 2) loved her explanations, enthusiasm and activities. They really enjoyed the tile hunt, scent guessing and scavenger hunt. We all learned something. Would definitely do another Little Lisbon tour on a future trip to Lisbon.

We all loved our tour with Little Lisbon - grown ups and the kids!! It’s so great to have a local show you around and help you to spot the details and the stories behind them. Great activities for the kids (ours were 8. 10 and 12), thoughtful route with rest stops for the kids (and adults) and fun surprises / activities along the way. We will be recommending this to all our friends.

We booked the “Genuine Lisbon” tour for our family with two kids (9 year old boy and a 4 year old girl). Our guide, Letitia, was incredible. She was knowledgeable and kept our kids engaged. We even did a fun scavenger hunt. Letitia was able to keep the kids involved for the entire time and we learned a lot of lisbon’s history.

We also booked a babysitter through Little Lisbon. The babysitter, Adriana, was incredible with the kids and kept us informed throughout our evening. We were able to enjoy the evening on the tour without any worry.

Our family of 4 (6.5 and 8 year old) did a half day walking tour (Genuine Lisbon) plus the Castle on our recent trip to Lisbon. I can't speak highly enough of the tour, of our guide (Mariana), and of the organization! The tour was fabulous and Mariana did an amazing job of both imparting knowledge that resonated with the adults and the kids alike, but also keeping all of us engaged. The communication with Little Lisbon was clear, thorough and super prompt. The information Mariana gave us both before, during and after the tour was instrumental in making our visit to Lisbon so fabulous. We will definitely do another tour with them on our next visit and will certainly recommend them to anyone we know planning a trip to Lisbon.

We know Lisbon relatively well as adults, but thought we would benefit from a little help in engaging our 10 and 13 year olds with the fabulous city of Lisbon. Letitia guided us around the Alfama area - an area i thought we knew a bit - and we all learned so much more. I could quite happily do another 3 or 4 of the tours! The kids liked the treasure hunt, loved the navigation (only one sibling argument!) and fought over the cakes. Thank you for making it a special day Letitia!
