Highly recommend the tour

Our guide was very knowlegable and interested in sharing information with us. We feel we learned a lot about Portugal history and thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Our guide took us to many different places, communicated in a very kind and informative manner and showed us places off the beaten path. The private tour is just a little extra and allows you to customize based on your interest.

Great day exploring outside of Lisbon

A highlight of our trip to Lisbon! We had a wonderful time on our tour which was full of information about every place we stopped and also stories from our guides childhood growing up the area. Our guide was kind, engaging and accommodating to our interests. We had such a lovely lunch that we decided to stay in Cascais the rest of the afternoon and he helped us make a dinner reservation! After a week long trip this was the perfect last day full of history and beautiful sites. Thank you!

A Brilliant Tour

A truly wonderful tour, which for over 8 hours, went really quickly. Completely relaxing, our tour guide, Rui, was very knowledgeable, passionate about the area and his country, and was very funny. We were a tour of six people and all of us had an absolutely tremendous time. We could rave about the tour and Rui enough. He was also super helpful in providing recommendations for things to do, places to see, places to eat and places to drink. I would thoroughly recommend this tour. First Class!

It’s all about the guide!
We booked a tour to Sintra, and our guide was “Felipe.” We can’t say enough about his friendly demeanor, extensive knowledge about sites., and overall professionalism. A successful tour has almost everything to do with the guide; if Felipe is the main criterion for evaluating Selection Tours, then the company gets a 5 Star rating.

A very pleasant day!

My husband and I had a very pleasant day with our host Ana Margarida. Much more than a "guide", she took very good care of us, and at all moments was really concerned in making our day a special one!
She paid special attention to our background and took us to the Palácio de Queluz, which has close relation to our country's history. She kept us away from lines and crowds, told us interesting and funny stories about the spots we visited. She is an awsome driver, and also had an extra patience with me and my difficulty with walking up the way to the Palácio da Pena. Thanks for that! ;)
Her enthusiasm with the places and Portugal's history is very exciting. Thank you for sharing with us a bit of your Country and your stories.
The tour really excelled our expectations!

Excellent tour. Rui was out tour guide and he was fantastic. The group was small, the car was comfortable and the guide was brilliant. The guide gave us a lot of historical and cultural information which was great. We could ask questions and chat with the guide who was very friendly.

Book a Selection Small group tour!
Great tour with Selection tours! Phillip was excellent and extremely knowledgeable. He took time to stop for great photo opportunities and to explain what we were going to see before we got there. Sintra / Pena Palace was amazing. Phillip also got us the best table in the house at the Refugio da Roca, to try the codfish and fried skid on ceramic. Great job Phillip and Selection tours!

Excellent from beginning to end - covered everything in the itinerary as advertised in a safe manner. Heard interesting and historical facts, the guide was very energetic. What a great tour, highly recommended whether you are solo or with a group. Great company to pick a tour from.

A great day trip out of Lisbon with Anna.

Not only was Anna a superb guide, both knowledge and articulate, she was also an excellent driver. Our day was carefully planned to avoid the congested tourist places, while still visiting the most interesting historical sites. Anna made us feel so welcome to her country.

Well Worth the Money

My husband and I were at the end of a six week holiday in Europe and could not be bothered trying to sort a day tour to Sintra ourselves, as we were tired, so we decided on this tour. We were fortunate in that it was just the two of us. Our guide, Alberto was prompt, efficient, knowledgeable, funny and good company. The day was wonderful and we went to some out of the way places as well. Highly recommended.
