We did a three-hour walking tour with Madeline on a beautiful morning. We saw many sights and neighborhoods of downtown Lisbon while learning about the history of the city and current city demographics. The tour did not feel rushed, and we made stops to enjoy some treats such as Pastel de natas, ginjinha, and bifanas.

We had a 3 hour private walking tour with Pedro. The tour was fantastic--lots of info about Lisbon's history and culture. Pedro was great--he knew all the "shortcuts" to get around efficiently (and without too much climbing). I would highly recommend.

We had a great three-hour private walking tour of Lisbon today with one of the guides, Pedro. He provided an overview of the city and its history that was very helpful. Pedro shared information from the earliest settlements up through the 1974 revolution. He also showed us shortcuts to getting around the city that will help us for the next few days. We highly recommend this private tour as a starting point for your exploration of Lisbon.

We had such a lovely 3 hour walking tour today. Margarita was our guide, very knowledgeable and an engaging and likeable young lady. She gave us as good a thorough history and tour of Lisbon you could hope for. Many thanks for that. She also suggested a restaurant afterwards for lunch where we had some lovely authentic Portuguese food.

Amazing tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable. Aside from history and the major sights in the city, he was able to share inside knowledge, including details about the different neighborhoods and day-to-day life of the city. He expertly maneuvered us around tourist "pinch points," showing us aspects of the surrounding areas which many miss. When we had to end the tour slightly early, he even guided us back to our accommodations on the subway, going well beyond expectations!

Did a 3 hour walking tour with Leo, who was extremely informing, interesting and fun. The tour provided us with good historical information along with some interesting details of the places we saw and the people who passed through over the ages. We highly recommend this tour.

My wife and I did a walking tour of Lisbon , October 11th 2023. We had an absolute wonderful time. We walked through the Alfama and Baixa neighborhoods. I apologize, but I completely forgot our guides name, but she was wonderful. She showed us the GINJINHA SEM RIVAL shop where i was able to drink a shot of Ginja and also ate at the AS BIFANAS DO AFONSO sandwich shop where I got a great pork sandwich and a large beer for 6.50 Euros! I highly recommend both places. Additionally, we mentioned that we were looking for authentic tiles, and she brought us to an amazing tile shop in Alfama that we ended up purchasing hand painted tiles that were exactly what we were looking for. Lastly at the end of the tour, we asked for a recommendation for a restaurant for lunch. She walked us to her first recommendation, but they had no seat available, so she then took us out of her way to her second recommendation, Restaurante A Gina, which was excellent. We had a great time and I highly recommend Your Friend in Lisbon.

We had a wonderful walking tour with Margarida! We were late getting to the meeting point but she waited for us and showed no frustration with our miscue. In fact, the office actually called to check on us and make sure we were going to make the tour. We had a nice casual stroll around several areas of Lisbon with great information about the history of Lisbon. Margarida had a lot of wonderful information given to us in impeccable English. She was very willing to answer all our questions and moved the tour at a great pace. We even got to stop for a little treat along the way. I have done a lot of walking tours and this ranks right at the top. Would highly recommend!

This was an awesome way to spend time in Lisbon. Exploring the city and then having an awesome experience tasting Port. Learning about Lisbon's history was a highlight of the trip for us.

Four of us went on an all-day driving/walking tour of Lisbon, Portugal with Elsa as our guide and Rui as our driver. As a native of Lisbon, Elsa was so knowledgeable about the city, from one end to another, and took us places we probably never would have gone otherwise. Rui drove through the narrow cobble streets of Lisbon with the precision of someone who knew exactly what he was doing. Together they made the tour fun and enjoyable and the hours flew by. It could not have been better and we so appreciate all Bothe Elsa and Rui did to make the tour amazing. We feel like we ended with two new friends!

This was a great tour. Our guide, Alex, helped us understand a lot about the history, geography and being a pedestrian in Lisbon. I would recommend doing this tour on your first day in the city. We were fortunate to use the guides recommendations for a lunch, three dinners and a night activity (attending festivities in Alfama). Combined with the tricks of using elevators and metro stations to avoid hills, it made us feel like locals during our 4 days in Lisbon. This tour was also a great value.

Pedro was such a great guide. He had an encyclopedic knowledge of the history of the neighborhoods we walked. And he is a kind and caring human being. We walked the full three hours with him providing a great and thorough, informative narrative. We fully recommend these folks for this tour.

We loved our walking tour with Elsa! We had a very short time in Lisbon and she really made our trip worth it and memorable. We saw so much, learned a lot and the whole family enjoyed our tour. We had a wonderful morning on our tour with Elsa. My former history major daughter was thrilled with Elsa's like minded narrative, especially regarding the how the buildings, statues and places fit into the histical narrative...and the tangents that led from them. Elsa says she talks to much...but oh no, the more the better. Very mindfull of guest's physical ability (ok to walk up hills?) Spectacular viewing locations. She definately knows the best ways to get around the city. Would recommend without hesitation.
