Nelson was an OUTSTANDING guide. He arrived early and his van was very clean and comfortable. He is extremely knowledgeable about Fatima and the entire story of Our Lady of the Rosary. His attention to detail of the entire narrative was fantastic. He took us first to Fatima to see the shepherd children’s homes and explained in great detail the living conditions in 1916/17. We saw the two spots the Angle of Peace appeared and one of the spots where the apparition of Mary occurred. We then traveled to the Church in Fatima (his parish) and learned important details about the church and saw the baptismal fount of the shepherd children. We then traveled to the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary. He explained all the details both inside and outside of the Basilica. We then discussed the tree the shepherd children used to wait for Mary to appear and saw the Chapel of the Apparitions. Our final stop was the modern Basilica of the Trinity. Again, Nelson was very knowledgeable about the architectural designs and interesting details of the basilica. He provided us with a very complete and fact filled tour of the sites and story of Fatima. This was the best, most complete tour of the entire Fatima experience. Nelson gets our highest recommendation.

We enjoyed an excellent tour of the holy sites of Fatima with Nelson - I give his tour the highest recommendation. Nelson picked us up in Lisbon and we had a very comfortable ride to Fatima, with Nelson providing a lot of background information on Fatima, and Portugal in general, on the drive. We visited the village sites including Francisco & Jacinta's home, the three sites of the appearance of the Angel of Peace, and the site of the fourth apparition of Mary. Nelson also took us to the Parish Church of Fatima - the "home parish" of Francisco, Jacinta and Lucia. I highly encourage including these sites as part of your tour as Nelson gives a lot of great background information on life in the village -- and the visit to the Sanctuary was more meaningful having seen the other sites which really give a picture as to life in the Village over 100 years ago. Finally, Nelson guided us through the Sanctuary, which included the two Baslicas, the Chapel of the Apparitions, and the square. It was an incredible experience and an absolute highlight of our trip to Portugal.

My wife and I have traveled extensively and done dozens of these type of tours. This was without question the best tour we’ve ever had! We did ( and would highly recommend) the 4 hour tour as it really gives you the full Fatima story and experience. Nelson, our guide, is from the area and his detailed knowledge makes a wonderful tour even better as you feel you are living the experience as you visit the houses of the 3 children, the apparition sites and then the main square and cathedral. Again, I can’t recommend this highly enough!!!

What a wonderful experience my husband and I had with Nelson as our guide! We loved every minute of our tour from our pick up to drop off at our hotel. The pre tour communication was terrific! Nelson answered our emails promptly. Considering the time difference, he was fast! Nelson knows his country and the love and knowledge he has for it is infectious! We made stops at Nazaré, Obidos and Fátima. All three were perfectly timed to miss the crowds as much as possible. Nelson is from the Fátima area so he knew right where to take us for lunch. Having lived many years in Australia, Nelson’s English is perfect and he is an excellent driver. We highly recommend this tour company and are sure you will love your experience!

Nelson was a wonderful tour guide! He was friendly and professional plus so knowledgeable about the beautiful Story of Fátima. My wife and I went to Fatima several years ago and wanted to return bringing our kids when they were older. The first time we visited Fatima, we did not hire a tour company. We walked the town and sites by ourselves. We enjoyed the experience, but left feeling we missed something. This year, we had the opportunity to bring our family of 7 (five kids aged 4 to 14) to Portugal and visit Fatima. We decided this time to hire a guide to take us around showing us all the Fatima sites. What a difference it made having a local guide! The experience was truly amazing! Nelson took us to each of the apparition sites, the homes of the three children, the parish church of Fatima, and the main shrine and pilgrim complex where the Virgin Mary appeared to 3 children with a basilica & chapel. Each step of the way Nelson explained in detail the history and significance of what we were seeing. We were able to experience Fatima through the eyes of the three children whom the Virgin Mary appeared to. Nelson was very patient answering questions from my kids as young as 4 to myself. We never felt rushed. He gave us plenty to time at each site to explore and ask questions. I can’t say enough how incredible the tour was. If you ask our kids what they liked the most of our three week travels in Europe and Africa, they will tell you Fatima. This tour made an impression on them they will have the rest of their lives. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to deepen their faith and understanding of one of the most important signs from God in the 20th century. Thank you Nelson this memorable experience!

My husband and I had an amazing tour! Nelson presented the story of Fatima along with architectural and artistic history. He painted the story in a way that we could place ourselves in the space and time 1916 and 1917. Seeing the grave sites in the Basilica was so powerful for me in addition to meeting Maria Dos Anjos (Lucia’s niece). Our tour covered all the sites and was very complete. I highly recommend Nelson and the Fatima Experience!

He was very knowledgeable, respectful, interesting and passionate! His ability to create the right mood for his tour is very impressive, I believe it's because he really cares and believes every little detail that he is providing us. I was so happy to see the devout attitude with which he spoke about all the happenings of the apparitions. My husband and I completely enjoyed each minute of the tour. We even asked him to provide us with an additional tour the following day of the Eucharistic Miracle of Santarem! He was very accommodating and absolutely delightful!

We were a group of 4 and having Nelson as our guide was a Blessing! He is personally knowledgeable and gave us so much history and details; I had been to Fatima with a large pilgrimage 17 years ago and I was surprised to learn more details I didn't know. He also was gracious to make sure we did what we wanted to do, such as attending Mass, working around our wants and needs. He personally picked an exceptional restaurant that served us an authentic Portugese meal in a family setting. Although it was raining, he made sure to have umbrellas ready for us and didn't hesitate to continue the tour with us. From the comfortable pick up in a beautiful vehicle at our Lisbon hotel to the drop off, we were so comfortable and happy with Nelson's personal attention and detail to our trip that we walked away feeling truly blessed!
