Had two lessons booked through the surf camp website, and had such a great time that I went for a third. (I also really wanted to make some more progress, which I feel I did) Impressed by the commitment to finding decent surf - free transport all the way to Caiscais. 10/10! I do regret booking through a third party, if I paid directly to the hostel and for the lessons I would have saved 20% which is kind of crazy, and is obviously not best for the school either. Bottom line is, great value, had a great time, and thanks so much to everyone!

First time surfing and amazing instructors and helpful staff! After a good warm up and taken aside to learn the very basics, we entered the Atlantique to try. The instructors were always close to explain what was good and what to improve. Amazing service and well worth it. Well done all the team Surf At Surf!!!

This was the 1st time when we decided to catch some waves and we are so happy we found Surf AT, because of: - all the great instructors that will help you and encourage you when you fall (and you fall all the time at first) - Friendly and relaxed atmosphere that makes learning process at your own pace so much easier Thank you! After being disappointed with a group lesson at another surf school we decided to take private lessons as a couple at Surf At and had an amazing time! Pedro and the woman checking us in were very friendly and helpful and we couldn't have asked for a better instructor than Bruno who was our instructor for 2 lessons. He explained things well, had great energy and was very patient. Thanks Bruno!! We also rented boards here afterwards which was easy and convenient. Would definitely recommend springing for a private lesson for at least one of your lessons as it makes a HUGE difference

Me and my girlfriend took about 4 lessons at this surf shool. The private lesson with Pedro was very good: we got very useful feedback all the time, we learned a lot and had a lot of fun. However, the other three lessons we took were group lessons, where the supervision was really poor sometimes (during one group lesson two beginner girls practically got a private lesson with constant supervision, getting help to catch each wave and so on. In the same time we others were happy if we got maybe 10 seconds of attention in the whole two hours).

I took two private lessons and have only good words. Pedro gave me really useful tips. Also other staff is very friendly. You will be in professional hands.

A fantastic surf school with awesome staff. I put my 10yr old son here for 2 days. They took great care of him and got him up on the board. Highly recommend this surf school and the place is great as well.

The best surf school in Praia Grande and Praia das Maçãs. Everybody is very professional and the feeling is great. Gonçalo and Pedro are great teachers.

I loved the experience! The teachers are super nice and fun, and the staff was very helpful. Here you can rent boards, have surf lessons or rent the "surf house". Definitely for all ages ;). Truly recommend

Thanks to the teachers from Surf AT we had a great experience last week during our first surf lesson ever. The weather conditions were poor, but they took us with their minivan to a beach further away in search for good waves for beginners. They even made the sun shine during the hours we were in the water! We had a good laugh and some of us felt the great feeling you'll get when riding a wave. Thanks a lot and hopefully we'll meet again!

During my 2 weeks holiday in Praia das Macas . One thing was very clear: everyone was surfing on the big waves! I knew it immediately: I want to do this as well! I did it already one week but somewhere in France on samller waves... I was there with a lot of other people but none of them want to surf with me! I book a lesson with Pedro, a trainer who is very experienced, highly motivatednand he really helps you up to a higher surflevel! I had the time of my life and in 3 hours I learned a lot, thanks to Pedro :) The next day I did it again but this time with all my friends, they were jealous of my previous day!! A golden rule: Go to Praia das Macas and surf as much as you can by the organisation SURF AT. You will have the time of our life !!!!

When you are learning something the best thing to do is to learn in the rigth place with the rigth teachers. This is one of those cases... The coast os Sintra is already known for it's good waves and these teachers are locals able to pass their knowledge to begineers. Try them and you will not be disepointed!! ;)
