Incredible tour of the island of Terceira! Breathtaking walk inside a volcano, many beautiful vantage points around the island, and even got to try some local cheeses where they are produced. Our amazing guide Paolo extended our tour and catered every moment to our small group - so intimate and enjoyable. Thank you for showing us your gorgeous home!

The guide was very knowledgeable and took us inside the amazing theatre and the interesting City Hall. She talked about living in Terceira. Highly recommend.

Ricardo was our driver and guide and he was outstanding! We got way more than our money's worth with him. He took us to the caves, lava tube, and steam vents as well as Duck Lake. The scenery on the way to and from was fantastic too. You really need to see the lava tube and Duck Lake if you are on the island. They were so memorable. Ricardo was super friendly with pleasant conversation and very informative about the island and its history. He is also a firefighter so my husband enjoyed talking to him about that. He was a safe driver and picked us up right at the cruise ship with a sign on his car. We really had the perfect introduction to Terceria and look forward to going back because of him and his beautiful island.

Our tour guide, Rui, did a great job explaining the history and culture of the city. He was very knowledgeable and thoroughly answered all of our questions. He set a perfect pace for us on this walking tour. We saw historic buildings, a local market, famous statues, art, churches. He described local customs and entertainment. We ended the tour with a much better appreciation for the city and its people. Thank you, Rui!

We had a great daylong tour with Catarina. We did a comprehensive circle of the island with numerous great stops. The bus got into some pretty tight locations to. Catarina was knowledgeable and very passionate about the island.

Paulo's low-key island charm was the high point of an excellent tour. He provided us with the benefits of a lifetime spent on the island, and we learned much about the history and traditions of this beautiful island. Met us at cruise terminal and was easy to find. Highly recommended.

We were traveling as a group of 6 on the Carnival Pride transatlantic passage. We had booked our tour well in advance and looked forward to the tour. However, due to rough seas and high winds, our captain made the hard decision to not attempt entering the narrow inlet putting safety first. We texted the tour company to let them know of the decision and requested a refund. The company was very gracious and understood the situation and our funds were refunded quickly.

A half day tour provided by Spot Tourism Activities was a highlight of our stay in Terceira, Azores. Our guide, Caterina, was fluent in English and offered a steady stream of fascinating geographical and historic information as we toured the island. We hit all the scenic high points but best of all, Caterina, who was born, raised and still lives on Terceira, shared so much about family, culture and daily life in this small, island community. If you call Spot, ask for Caterina. She will make your tour a special experience.

We used Spot Tourism for several of our transfers, as well as a tour. They were always on time, very communicative, and had great and friendly people. Our tour guide Debora, who guided us through the streets of Angra do Heroismo was fantastic. We highly recommend them (PS--we loved Terceira!)

Our tour was scheduled for 2 pm and the agency sent us someone at 3:30 pm. No one came to pick us up and the whole tour was done by foot. It consisted basically in going up the garden then back down to the harbour front. No visit of Monte Brasil, Palace of The Captains, Igreja da misericórdia, no Câmara municipal, no Forno pastelaria. The guide did offer some interesting insights and comments but it was actually a Monday and an island holiday so everything was closed. All she could do was stand in front of the monuments and give details about places we were advised to visit afterwards. No compensation was offered for the delay or the closed places and we paid the full price (40 €) for a simple walk in front of a closed city. I do not recommend this tour or this agency.

Pedro Silva was our English speaking guide. He is very knowledgeable, friendly and patient. He picked us up from the hotel on time and gave us an excellent tour with details on Terceira island history. He answered all our questions and helped with restaurant reservations for our group of 6 people. Thank you Pedro ! We hope to see you again during our next Azores trip.
