What a fantastic day! Andreas was extremely knowledgeable about Pico, Faial, and the Azores in general and an enthusiastic guide. Everything went smoothly with ferries to/from Pico. We visited most areas of the island, with stops at many beautiful and interesting places, with amazing views and rich culture/history. His local perspective added so much depth to the tour. The picnic lunch was delicious and at a spot with a stunning vista! Highly recommend!

I highly recommend the half day tour with Andreas.for his depth of knowledge, engaging delivery and flexibility. I greeted him with a request that I needed to have breakfast before starting the tour so we began the tour in my hotel dining room. I so much appreciated that and began learning about Horta Book this and Faial at breakfast. The rest of the tour was a delight.visiting places I would want to return to later.like Porto Pim bay.Do yourself a favor and book this tour!

The Caldeira hike is not to be missed while on Faial. It offers fabulous views and Andreas was an outstanding guide. His knowledge of the island is extensive - hardly a topic he could not discuss and share. We enjoyed a delightful tailgate lunch after the hike. Truly one of the highlights of our trip to the Azores. Highly recommend !

Wow-what an amazing experience with the best guide ever. Andreas is extremely knowledgeable about everything on Pico. We saw so many beautiful sights and learned so much about lovely Pico. Andreas Metz hosted us on a relaxing, entertaining and interesting full day tour of Faial. In the comfortable vehicle, we learned the history from first settlers to present day. Impacts of earthquakes and volcanoes, whaling, telegraph communication were some of the topics, along with modern food production, festivals and lifestyle on this island. Andreas is an expert and answered our queries and questions.

Having a good private tour to see the island highlights is the way to go. Andreas was the best, his professionalism with human touch is something I would recommend. We did an excellent half day tour with Andreas. He's extremely knowledgeable about the island and a wonderful guide. He provided us with so much historical information, as well as information about life on the island. The island has a lot of variety. There were plenty of opportunities for photos and we never felt rushed. He also brought sandwiches, beer, and water, which we really appreciated! Highly recommended!

We found Faial and Horta a fantastic place to visit and explore. You can not find a better tour and guide. Andreas was our 4th guide on our Azores trip. The first 3 were great but Andreas was the best of the best.

Pico offers beautiful and diverse landscape to experience. Andreas was extremely knowledgeable on all aspects of Pico, landscape, history, culture and more. Very passionate and willing to share his knowledge. Tour exceeded our expectations.

Andreas is an amazing guide. We learned so much about Faial from the geographic elements to culture and life on the islands. Andreas had a unique perspective as someone who has lived throughout Europe and has chosen to make a home in Faial with his family. He brought a delightful lunch, skillfully toured through the island, and gave great guidance on other aspects of our trip. We highly recommend!

We were a family of 5 adults visiting the Azores for the first time. We booked a Full Day Private Tour of Faial and a Full day Private Tour of Pico with Visit Faial. Andreas was our guide. He picked us at our hotel promptly at the appointed time on both days. Andreas drove us around the island in his van, stopping to visit the places we had requested as well as the ones Andreas had suggested. On the second day he picked us up at our hotel again, drove us to the ferry and we all took the ferry to Pico for our second full day tour. He has a wealth of infortmation about the island which provided great background to what we were seeing. On both days we visited all the places we had requested and more as well. We enjoyed a picnic lunch with him on both days and he also had a basket with water and snacks for us in his van. The lunches were made by his wife and they were delicious. Andreas was fluent in English and he made our visit a very memorable one. He was dependable, friendly, respectful, knowledgeable, polite, a good driver and an all round excellent tour guide! Recommend him 100%! He definitely went the extra mile.

Until we found Andreas, we were having difficulty finding someone to take us around Faial and Pico given our schedule. Thank goodness we found him! Andreas was very patient and worked with our schedule, including picking us up at the airport one day. Andreas took our must see list and designed itineraries around it. We saw everything we wanted to and got an excellent sense of both islands. His wife cooks the most delicious lunches and Andreas lays out a picnic with real china and glasses on tables in covered shelters. We enjoyed 2 days with him touring Faial and Pico and learned so much about life in the Azores because he is so knowledgeable. We wholeheartedly recommend Andreas.
