2-hour Cabras Islet Boat Cruise from Angra
$29.10
Overview
The remote Cabras Islet is a paradise for bird-watchers, but the only way to visit is by boat. Set sail from Terceira Island on this 2-hour cruise, enjoy stunning views along Terceira’s southeast coast and look out for Cory's Shearwater, Common Tern, and Roseate Tern as you explore the uninhabited islet.
What to Expect
The boat trip starts by heading out to the southeast and looking for marine wildlife, giving the opportunity to see a stunning offshore view of Terceira Island. A volcano formed this largest islet from Azores, and this is the nesting ground for several seabirds, such as the Cory's Shearwater, Common Tern, and Roseate Tern. Once you get close to the islet, information about the history, geology and species of the surrounding area will be shared. During the journey back, follow an inshore route, showing the variety of volcanic structures that form the cliffs of the island's shoreline. Tour ends back at the marina.

Excellent Tour

We had a great time on the tour. We took the tour with a toddler, and they were super accommodating and even had infant life jackets. The guides were great!!

Paul was able to fully navigate us into two of the islands' caves and skirted the shoreline around the rest of the islan

We traveled from Angra out to the islands in a Zodiac-style inflatable boat. Our group was small enough (13) that Paul, the pilot, opted to take us in the smaller, inflatable boat, rather than the larger tour boat. He said it would be a better...More
