We went through the caves and got to explore so much of the culture with the fishermen and the interactions between the guides and locals was just so incredible to see. Due to the season, we were unable to see the dolphins but regardless, I had the most amazing time. Highly recommend to anyone who wants a boat tour!Written November 21, 2024

Our captain (Lorenzo) and tour guide (Diego, sorry not 100% sure on this name) brought us on a fun 2hr tour of all the caves and had a bit of fun along the way. I have purchased the trip for two adults and a child under 9 years old. We arrived at the departure port in Portimao at 2:00 p.m. The company told us that they were waiting for the arrival of other people who had bought the tickets. Upon arriving at the port, they have given preferences to this group that has joined the first. That would not have been the problem if the boat had provided a seat for each person who had bought the ticket, but on top of that the company tells me that they have preferences. When we got in, my wife and my daughter were seated in the back where only one person could sit and not two. I have requested the relocation of people and they have not listened to me. My wife and daughter have had a very uncomfortable trip. When the trip was over they asked for comments and I told them that I would tell everything that happened. At that moment the guide of the group of tourists who had preferences treated me with contempt and told me that the problem was that I was Spanish. My trip occurred on 08-08 2023 at 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The boat driver, who spoke Spanish, treated me with all the politeness as expected. I do not advise booking with this company. There are not seats for all the crew members and they do not treat certain customers politely and give preference to certain customers despite arriving last, but the main problem is that there were not seats for everyone. The Portitour guide treated me with absolute contempt and arrogance that is surely not up to what the company represents. What a great tour we had with Diego as our guide. The zodiac boat was very comfortable, and our excellent driver guided us effortlessly into the caves. Both driver and guide were very knowledgeable about the area and responded to all our questions and eagerly engaged in conversation, the caves were magnificent.

Amazing boat trip around the coast of Portimao, discovering and experiencing the Benagil caves with guides Marcelo and “GPS”. The knowledge that these two provided us was both intriguing and hilariousThey explained the origins behind the naming of all the caves, and also enlightened us to the local Nudist beach lol.
Very enjoyable , really recommend it also a big thank you to Marcello for catching my daughter as she nearly fell down the side of the boat - quick reactions.

This tour is an absolute must for anyone who wants to discover the beauty of the Algarve. Everything about this experience was top notch. Our two guides, Diego and Paul, were fantastic. Their humor and extensive knowledge of the caves and their history made for a fascinating and entertaining trip.
The tour started with an exploration of the impressive caves and rock formations along the coast, which took about an hour. Then we sailed further out to sea to spot dolphins, and we were not disappointed. There were many dolphins to see, much to the delight of everyone on board.
Diego and Paul did everything to make sure we could see the dolphins well and that everyone had a good time. They took the safety of the passengers seriously; for example, Paul held the children well by their life jackets when they wanted to look over the edge.
In short, this boat tour is an unforgettable experience that I would recommend to anyone. The organization, the guides and the beautiful surroundings make this an adventure not to be missed. In my eyes, nothing could be better. That's why I give this tour a big 10!

Simply perfect. Skipper Marcelo always put the boat in the best position so that the views and photographs were fantastic. The presentation and explanation of Mr. Paul always timely and perfect.
The boat used allowed access to fantastic and mystical locations that if it was larger it would not allow.

Ricardo & Marcello (hope I've spelt your names right) were excellent captain & skipper. Great tour and beautiful caves. Ricardo gave a lot of information and added some humour too. We would thoroughly recommend this tour. Martello made sure we were all able to take the photos we wanted before moving on.

It was a short cruise, but it included many stops at various interesting spots along the coast, e.g. in front of the Ferragudo fishing village, Praia do Carvalho, which is one of the best in Europe, and much more. The staff were very competent, providing a lot of interesting information in English, Spanish and also French, even though French was not proposed as a language for the tour. Very well done.

Amazing boat trip around Portimao, Ferragudo, Carvoiero and Benagil with guides Marcelo and the skipper “GPS”. They explained the origins behind the naming of each cave and beach and history of the area. After the cave tours they took us about 7-8 miles off the coast of Portugal to see dolphins jumping around and swimming in the wake of the boat. Thoroughly worth the trip and would definitely go again when we’re next in Portugal!

The tour with Ricardo and Diogo was absolutely worth it! Great time, amazing things to see and the two were super nice and funny! We really enjoyed it and highly recommend to book this tour and see the amazing coastline from the water! Even without being sunny totally worth it!

Very nice time on the boat to see the coastline. Our tour guides were very lovely, helpful, friendly. They told us some insightful fun facts about the caves, beaches and the like. Well worth the money and time. The boat isn’t big which we liked as it made the experience a bit more “personal” with less people on board. Shame we couldn’t swim more insight the magical cave but the waves were too big. Still, we managed to get some nice pictures so overall the trip was great.
