Highlights
    What to Expect
The trip starts in the historical harbor of Portimão, towards South-East Coast. We follow the Arade River, passing the fishing villages of Ferragudo and two medieval forts entering the Atlantic Ocean. We pass the lighthouse of Ferragudo and set our sails. We will pass the beach of Caneiros, the Roman Tower and smugglers cave, Benagil and Carvoeiro and its beautifull rock formations of Algar Seco, Vale Centianes, Praia da Marinha and Armação de Pêra.

Along the trip will be visited the most beautifull caves such as Benagil and Alfanzina, done with traditional cave boats and we will explore the fascinating caves. We anchor in calm sea and it is time for a swim in the clear waters of the Atlantic Ocean. The way back to Portimão is by engine power.

We boarded the caravelle in Portimao, a beautiful timber sail and engine powered ship. the crew were laid back but very friendly and took great care of everyone. The Santa bernarda Pirate ship sailed east along the stunning coastline and we had informative snippets of...More

Caves are a must see in Portugal and the small power boats used by this tour allowed access to the smaller caves that other tours could not enter. This was the highlight but if you are expecting to sail you will be disappointed. The crew...More

The tour takes from 2:30 hours to 3 hours. Yes, there's shade for the little people, but just to be sure about it, be on time to be one of the first ones. The families with children always enter first anyway.
