Loved Wild and Wonderful Tour
Antonio leads a great tour to spectacular sea/cliff vistas and local villages! Near St Vincent cape he pointed out fishermen gathering barnacles and explained they are a local delicacy. Being foodies he recommended a beautiful restaurant for lunch sitting atop the hillside overlooking the Atlantic Ocean where we sampled barnacles which were delicious. Antonio is very personable and full of interesting historical and local commerce facts. Very comfortable van with A/C. Book early as he sells out!

Great experience, beautiful scenery - a must do!

Antonio was an excellent tour guide! The views in this tour are so gorgeous, and the day goes by so fast. You could technically drive to these places yourself but you’d be missing so much compared to going in this tour! Our tour guide knows the best spots, doesn’t waste time, has great driving skills (I get car sick easily and I didn’t have any of this with him!), recommended great food, picks you up and waits for you, and even takes great pics! On top of all the knowledge about the geography and history of the area, and of Portugal as a country.**I highly recommend you take this tour**. He’s also very flexible and responsive so if you want something more customizable he can do that for you. I went with him as a solo traveler and it’s easily one of the highlights of my whole trip to the country. I also must add I felt very safe. I will definitely contact him again when I come back to Portugal!

Antonio was, without a doubt, the best tour guide I have ever had. His enthusiasm, passion, and knowledge of the Algarve region was unparalleled. Being a local himself, he knows the best places to go near Lagos and combines the most beautiful natural sights in one spectacular tour. He answered all of our questions, provided excellent information for all our stops, and never tried to rush us when walking around or taking pictures. Antonio was even kind enough to take us to Ponta da Piedade at the end of the day, even though it wasn't included in our tour. I would highly recommend South Explorers - I wish I would have stayed more days in Lagos just so I could have done more tours with him!

Best tour in Algarve

Antonio is the kind of guide you need and deserve 😊. Chilled out and friendly. Great behind the wheels.Shares fantastic tips about wine,fish,food and many other stuffs that will help you during your stay in this region, other than Sharing the history and signifance of each of the sites during your tour.Each of place he would take you in this tour is an treat to your eye. Hands down, jaw dropping beautiful locations.The beaches, water, cliffs....and the amazing lunch place he would take you to. This will be a day to remember. No matter how the weather is, the tour is bound to be a memorable one. We started on a cloudy day, have few patches of rain throughout, but the sky cleared up in last couple of hours and we witnessed one of the most beautiful sunset of our lives. All thanks to Antonio.

Huge thumbs up to Antonio and South Explorers. Hope we meet again, not in distant future.😊

An Excellent Tour

This was an excellent tour. We went to numerous places that you certainly would not attend on a large bus tour. The ONLY negative was that sitting in the back of the van, it was at times difficult to hear the tour guide --- I am somewhat hard of hearing, and the headset and microphone seemed to pick up the driver's voice somewhat intermittently, so it was not always helpful. Overall though a very interesting day. Very informative and enjoyable.

Hello Jim, thanks for your review. I'm glad you enjoyed the tour with me. About the Microphone - you mentioned that you aren't able to listen on the back and I turned on the Microphone and you said you listen better. It's normal that when driving my head was moving and sometimes the micro move away. The sound was high and everyone was able to hear everything. Next time if you still have the problem with the microphone please asked me to seat near me and then you will hear me better 😁 All the best. António

Antonio is friendly, a great driver and clearly knows the history and details of all the places we visited. The Algarve's west coast in beautiful in its own right, but having someone who can take you to the out-of -the-way places and put them in context makes it truly enjoyable. Antonio took us to many places but we never felt rushed; this is a lot more than just a "highlights" tour. I strongly recommend Antonio's tour for anyone who really wants to truly experience Portugal's west coast.

Awesome Algarve - Awesome Antonio!

Our all day tour of the Western Algarve with Antonio was the highlight of our week long vacation.

My husband and I were picked up promptly at our hotel at 9:00 and we toured the coast in Antonio’s comfortable, very clean and air-conditioned van. As our guide, he was extremely conscientious with the Covid hygiene protocols. We felt safe and comfortable with the measures that he had taken.

Antonio shared a wealth of information with us on all different kinds of topics. They ranged from the histories of the different places we visited, to geography, and to the communities of people who populate the areas. He took us places we never would’ve known about. There were cliffs, beaches and spectacular ocean views. Every site had its own breath-taking personality and/or unique traits.

Antonio is kind and thoughtful and kept in touch with us through email and texts before our booked date. We enjoyed his company and would definitely tour with him again. We’ve already recommended this Wild and Wonderful West Coast Full Day Tour to friends and we highly recommend it to you.

You must take the Wild West Coast tour with Antonio. It is stunning.
We spent an absolutely amazing day with Antonio Bule visiting Prince Henry the Navigator’s school in Sagres, the Cape Vincent Light house and exploring the rugged coast of the western Algarve. Every stop we made was more stunning than the last, every vista was spectacular. Antonio was an outstanding guide, keeping us engaged all day long. It was a day we will remember for a long time.

The beautiful rugged southwest coast of Portugal

The progression of the day was one breathtaking view after another. It was evident that our local guide, Antonio, was passionate about sharing the natural beauty of the south west coast and all it offers. I am an avid photographer and can’t wait to display the photos taken during the tour.

Whistlestop tour of the West coast

We had a good day with Antonio - in the morning we visited Sagres and walked around the fortress and Antonio accompanied us and gave us lots of interesting information, and then visited Cape St Vincent. We stopped for lunch at a not very salubrious beach bar (we agreed a snack or sandwich would suit us better than a large lunch so this may not have been Antonio's first choice of eating establishment) and then briefly visited numerous beaches which started to merge into each other after a while. In hindsight we would have preferred slightly fewer stops and had a longer stop at one of them, perhaps with time for a walk or a coffee while enjoying the view. We got home feeling that we hadn't really appreciated many of the beaches we saw in the afternoon because of the fleeting nature of our visits and would have liked to have seen more of less.

Hello Claire, Thanks for your review! It was a pleasure to meet you and your husband. As you know, lunch was not included but we usually stop at different places. This beach bar where you had lunch is a place where people like to have a snack with a view of the sea. You even said you liked the food. About the stops on the beaches, as you can see in the reviews of this tour, my guests usually feel that they are never rushed and that they can enjoy the fantastic views, walk on the beach and drink a coffee. During the tour I ask several times if everything is okay and if they need anything. I always try my best so that my guests have a fantastic experience and certainly for the next one it will be even better. Best Regards. António Bule
