You'll detect our Ludo (natural park) entrance with a gate with RED letters on it! There’s free parking up ahead! 1 min by car.

- christineWarrington0 contributionsA Tour of 2 cities by Segway!So yesterday 2 almost pensioners went on a Segway tour of an area completely new to us. The guide Joseph was on time and took care to make sure that we could 'control' the Segways (to an extent!). We were fitted with helmets and off we went. Joseph was excellent, giving us warnings of even the smallest bump, taking great care when we needed to cross roads (on crossings) so I felt very safe and able to enjoy the whole experience. We learnt so much about the Vilamoura and Quarteira, including a lot of history. Joseph knew all the best places to eat too, covering a wide range of tastes. We both thoroughly enjoyed the trip and plan to cover another area with Algarve by Segway very soon!Written September 3, 2024

Our guide for this trip was Andre and he was very polite and good company for the tour. He made our small group feel very welcome and explained all the safety requirements carefully. The tour itself lasted almost an hour and a half and took us along the beach/promenade through Quarteira. Would definitely recommend this trip. - sam_chilwan0 contributionsGood Algarve experience using a SegwayAndre who we were following was a good representative and he explained all the different places he took us from the start of McDonalds in Vilamoura to Vilamoura marina and onwards to Quanteira. Highly recommend as you get a lot to see and explanation of the different places we went. When I compare this activity to the Segway in Gran Canaria the host in Spain had a go pro and took photos and a video whilst we rode the Segway, on this tour we captured a single photo on one of our stops by the lighthouse using my iPhone.Written July 22, 2023

Great way to cover a big area & exhilarating at the same time. So glad we did this, so glad Nelson was able to fit us in at short notice. I would recommend booking in advance. Andre was a fantastic guide for one of the highlights of our holiday in Olhäo. He was not only informative but made it a lot of fun whilst feeling very safe at the same time pointing out any uneven ground or tree roots etc.
We would not hesitate to recommend this Segway tour and my husband would add that seeing planes taking of from the airport was an added bonus!

A lovely, fun and unique experience. Andres was very conscientious and took time to show us how to use the segways and we felt safe and confident. He was careful to point out how to navigate more tricky points on the tour - not that there was anything too challenging. The park is beautiful and the tour also took us through some of the most elite parts of Faro which you don't get to see otherwise. Andres was knowledgeable and had lots of informative stories and a great sense of humour. I would not say that this was a bird-watching tour but we certainly saw lots of different species; I imagine it would be amazing during the migrations. Andres was very respectful of the reserve and of other users. Everything about our interaction with Algarve Segways felt comfortable and authentic (no touristic manufactured/pressurised "fun") and Nelson and Andres were very helpful and great communications when we were making the booking and finalising times/dates etc.

Last July my family & I were staying in Quinta do Lago & booked a tour. Our guide Nelson was lovely. 2 adults & 2 children ages 11 & 14. Although we were all keeping a good distance from each other on the Segways, about half way through the tour my youngest daughter stopped her Segway suddenly and we crashed. Both of us were quite badly hurt. My Segway actually ended up off the road on top of me, they are very heavy! No broken bones but both of us had several really bad cuts & bruises, quite a bit of blood. Nelson used some wipes & sterile lotion to clean some of the cuts but in general played down the whole accident. We were both very sore & bruised for days afterwards. At the time I was embarrassed about the fall & my review just said how lovely our guide & tour was (which it was at the start) In hindsight I feel it important to let people know how easy it is to come off one of these things and if you do it is not nice. My family will not be getting on a Segway ever again.

Very enthusiastic guide with extensive knowledge of the nature and the residential area on the tour. We enjoyed his company very much.
The tour it self is well planned and offers great experiences throughout the duration. Good balances between moving and information stops.
The Segway is a great way of traveling a good distance in a short time and it's very easy to operate.

Amazing- we loved our tour with Nelson today. We met Nelson at Quinta do Lago for a brilliant Segway tour. This totally exceeded our expectations. Our tour consisted of Roman ruins, nature reserve, salt beds and the lovely Quinta, plus great fun doing this on Segway. This was the highlight of our holiday. It’s also easy to use, Nelson gives you an intro to get you started and you feel very confident on the Segway quickly.
It was super interesting and fun. Nelson is such a nice and friendly guy. He even took my mobile and took loads of photos and videos of us- such a nice touch.
My 11 and 12 year olds really enjoyed it and want to do another tour with Nelson! We just wished we had booked this at the start of our holiday and not the end as could have done another one of his tours! We will definitely be back next year.
We highly recommend this- I can’t believe I’ve been coming here so many years and only just experienced this.
Worth every penny for a fabulous 1 hr 1/2 fabulous tour.

Awesome segway tour in the Rio Formosa Natural Park. Our guide was great, entertaining and informative and the trip was perfect for our group (adults and kids 6+ years old). We highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for a fun and entertaining outing in the algarve region.

Very enjoyable day touring the Ria Formosa by segway. As first timers out, our guide (Andre) introduced us to the basics of segwaying and made sure we were fully comfortable before we started. His local trivia and guided stops along the way were very informative and educational. We highly recommended taking a segway your through some very beautiful wetlands.

We made the tour starting from ludo hiking trail during around two hours with teenagers. Our guide was super nice, he took the time to explain how to use the Segway and was attentive to security. Helmets were given. Segway is easy to manipulate after a few minutes. The tour was great, from wildlife watching (almost pink flamingos, crabs various birds) to millionaires-lifestyle watching. The place is incredible and Segway is perfect for discovery. Our guide was very interesting and we discovered a lot of things along the way. Highly recommended !

We had a fantastic tour. It went by so quickly, we wanted to do another 1.5 hours! It was a super mix of local knowledge, nature watching, homes of the stars and, of course, great fun on the segways. Nelson was the perfect guide, taking memorable photos and providing us with loads of interesting facts. We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone.

This was my 5th segway tour and was just as enjoyable as the first.. my friends always want to do this when they visit!
Andre, our guide was just as informative as always and even took us around a few extra streets to look at the beautiful houses around the golf course...
