About
Venture out on a safari through the natural wonders of the Algarve, a safari through the mountains of the Algarve. Enjoy a real adventure through the mountains in a jeep. This excursion has off-road paths, beautiful landscapes, regional architecture, medieval monument, traditional villages and natural water sources where you can dive in the waters of the river. The excursion also counts on the traditional trade where we can see regional products such as liqueurs, honey and jams.
On the offroad paths we will see large fruit plantations with small streams and water irrigation systems left by the Romans.
A stop for lunch in a traditional restaurant, where we can enjoy the view accompanied by food and good regional Algarve wine.

We saw the jeep safari when we were looking at visiting Alte and thought that would be a great way to get to know the inland area. it was awesome. Great driver knowledge, good breaks, fantastic off roading and on road driving experience. 4 hours was enough for us. Watch out for the trees

However, the jeep was very cramped and meant me and my partner had to sit separate throughout the day. Although this can’t be helped, as it was raining we couldn’t do a lot of what would normally happen on the tour which was disappointing. None the less, it was a really fun experience and would definitely recommend to others.

Great to get off the beaten track and see and visit authentic albufeira. We visited local villages, farms, a castle and learnt about the history of the town. We were taken to the fonte, which was beautiful and so picturesque. We were taken to the top of the mountain with stunning views. Our guide Sergio was experienced and extremely knowledgeable!! Excellent trip. Great value for money

It's a bumpy ride,the vehicle can hold 6 but there was only 2 of us,so we had plenty of room.

Having the opportunity to see the tourist area and compare it to the old town was excellent. And experiencing the five beaches and the lagoon area at our pace was really enjoyable. We could explore at our leisure and enjoy how the topography was different along the coast. Highly recommend, this well paced, informative open air tour to get a taste of Albufeira.

He was chatty, taught us some history and took us in the end to a breathtaking place! Our trip was one of the enlightenment of our holiday. Both my children (18 & 14) loved it! I highly recommend the safari!
- dano53800Best experience of our stay in AlbufeiraJust back from a fantastic 4 hour trip in the mountains with Johnny our driver. He was very knowledgeable and great fun. Visited an organic honey/herb farm, local mountain villages and hilltops with marvellous 360 degree views.... Whatever you do in Albufeira do not miss this experience!!!

Did a full day Jeep safari with Miquel. We enjoyed it. Miquel is an excellent driver (also off-road). He took us to the real Algarve, you come to the most beautiful places .. Really worth it, you learn a lot about the Algarve in a fun way!

Sergio, the owner, was our tour guide for the day.. His passion and enthusiasm for the history of the Algarve was amazing. As a family, we have been holidaying in the Algarve for the past 18 years and we learnt more in these few hours than we have in the whole 18 years. The Algarve has so much more to offer than just beautiful beaches. Without Sergio we would have never found these hidden gems. The visit to Alte and the windmill were especially interesting. Thank you Sergio for a really fascinating day out. Your great sense of humour made it so much fun!
