- pollon210720090 contributionsFantastic boat trip with beach BBQWe had an amazing day out on the catamaran, with the perfect skipper Ricardo that showed us all the beauty of the coast and managed to enter the cave enough to let us enjoy it. The long stop on the beach for swimming and BBQ was memorable, allowing us to o swimming or easily with a small boat. On the beach balls and water games for young and adults. The BBQ was absolutely delicious with skewers, sausages, prawn and sardines but also vegetarian on demand. The secluded beach is a gem and Ben our teen at the end was smiling! Thank you to the fantastic crew including Laura and Nunu, if we were staying longer I would have done it again!Written August 31, 2024

- scaffolder18880 contributionsVery Enjoyable experience. My wife and i booked this trip down at the marina during a stop off on the open top bus tour, the idea of the beach bbq and the longer sailing experience was the deal clincher amongst the many offered tours available and not overly expensive. We booked a taxi down to the marina from our hotel and arrived in plenty of time prior to the 09.30 check-in,so enjoyed a relaxing coffee in a nearby bar beforehand. Check-in and pre-boarding was fairly chaotic and you can sense that everybody is wanting to just get aboard and grab the best positions, which in hindsight is not really necessary as there is quite ample room both up top and below deck. Do be aware that the drinks and food are not free and are payable at the bar,you do get a free welcome snack, many people including us wrongly thought everything was free once on board so did not bring even water. The sail along the coastline is enjoyable and the main cave you enter quite spectacular, for the bbq stop you have the option of swimming ashore from the boat or jumping in one of the 2 smaller motor boats that ferry groups ashore,a couple of people did struggle with the swim as you do anchor quite a way from the beach so do only make the swim if your capable or one of the smaller boats will have to come to your rescue!! Do be warned that the sand can be very hot underfoot once ashore so do make sure you have access to some form of footwear once on the beach, the small boats will take your bags etc if required. Drinks are readily available on the beach and the bbq served after around half an hour, the food offered is bbq skewers, sausages, fish, salad and crisps and all very nice. After a couple of hours on the beach everyone is then ferried back to the boat before relaxing again for the return journey,no loud music and not too long before returning to the marina. Overall a really nice relaxing cruise.Written August 25, 2024
- FYIMA0 contributionsAmazing experience. This was an amazing experience. Parasailing is something I had always wanted to do, but had been too scared to try. I need not have been scared or apprehensive as I felt totally safe in the hands of our captain and crew. Every single take off and landing was perfectly executed onto the soft pad on the boat. My 14 year old daughter and I did a double flight together and the experience of flying so high in the sky was one neither of us will ever forget. I would recommend though if you suffer from motion sickness to take a couple of anti sickness tablets in plenty of time before your flight as the sensation of flying did make me feel a little queasy. It was wonderful that they take photos of each flight and I shall treasure mine, however they charge 20 euros per flight which ends up being very expensive if you are a family of four doing two separate flights. In my opinion they should be charging 20 euros per family not per flight.Written August 19, 2024
- GDMc0 contributionsSomething differentWe saw this advertised on a brochure given to us upon arrival at our hotel. We enquired with the rep and booked our seats. What really attracted us was that there was a maximum of 18 people on this boat. We paid €65 pp. On the day we arrived and checked in for the tour. Didn't wait long, and we were boarded without any fuss. There was plenty of space on the boat. We sat atop next to the captain. Great view but also shielded from the midday sun. It was a fantastic journey towards Benagil, which took approximately 1 hour. The captain and crew pointed out the areas of interest to the passengers. When we reached the caves, we anchored and launched the dinghy. This was used to take small parties into the caves. In the meantime, those left behind could take a dip. This was my choice. I swam 50 meters to the very secluded beach, what an absolute treat. Then it was our turn to go into the caves. This was stunning and unlike anything we'd seen before. Once all had visited the caves, we drank and ate. It was not a banquet of food, but it was as described, a taster. We then sailed back, enjoying the afternoon breeze. In all, the journey was 3.5 to 4 hours. This was a fantastic trip and was thoroughly enjoyed by all passengers. This is definitely worth the money and a must do for any holidaymaker.Written August 18, 2024

- 1966Davido0 contributionsFantastic ExperienceFantastic experience. Having not totally known what to expect, especially as we were attending with two children, we had an amazing time. The food, music and setting were excellent and really did make the night feel special with such a nice atmosphere with people relaxing, dancing and just having fun. The fire performer was really impressive to watch and was an added treat to a wonderful night. People do make the most of the open bar but everyone is there for a good time with nothing getting out of hand, and it did add to the people watching which at times was very entertaining! The return trip from the beach was especially entertaining with a nice party vibe. We did feel a little dubious at first as the boat is very full with not too much space, especially as a small tour of the Benagil Caves is part of the evening. However the boat ride is only a small part with the beach experience being the real star of the show. We had earlier in the week been on a Benagil Caves boat tour which is probably more suitable for a more thorough viewing of all the caves so if it is the caves that you are interested in I would advise to book separately. But overall a fabulous evening.Written August 16, 2024

We all absolutely loved it. Very professionally run, lovely boat and super fun in the sky. There were 4 of us…adult and 3 kids so the clever lads put two of the kids up with me and again with the older teen…so the younger kids got to go twice! Absolutely made their day. Was a very nice tour, I recommend the 6€ pP add-on for the VIP seats at the upper deck (to be booked/paid at ticket booth when you collect your entry tickets). Very nice guides with welcome drinks. Unfortunately, the guide was not always audible as the guide spoke without a microphone. In general I would recommend this guide to everyone 👍

This was a fantastic day at work, showed us all of the beaches along the Algarve Coast. Also, make sure you pay the extra six euros to sit on the top deck ove, not only did they give you orange juice when you depart, you also get champagne when you come back in. The area is also a lot less crowded. If you can time the trip with high tide, that’s even better because they got almost completely in to Benagil Cave, where normally the only stick the front of the boat in. On the way back there’s a swimming stop for about 20 minutes and they then head out a little further to get back in a straight line to the port. Parking at the port is free where ever you can find it on the road.

Having visited numerous venues in and around the area i was shocked to pay €4 for a 33cl bottle of sagres beer whilst other venues are half that price. These are premium prices are above and beyond anywhere else we visited in Albuferia. A rip off.. This is not venice

A well organised trip. Our guide, Christopher, displayed great knowledgeable about the beautiful scenery and he kept us entertained by his humorous delivery. And I was delighted that we got to see inside some of the stunning caves due to the expert steering of our captain. I would definitely recommend this trip

Starting off on a bad note, telling the prices for this cruise range from 28,90€, but there were no prices under 45€. And then we are given the option to upgrade our tickets, given access to the upper deck, for another 10€. Suffering from #fomo we took the upgrade.
The boat was really nice and with plenty of room for everybody. It took us out from the harbor and out to sea, and then the host started speaking: talk about entertainer! It was pure joy listening to him, even more so than looking at the coastline :)
Halfway through the cruise the captain took us a bit further off shore where all who wanted could take a swim in the cold Atlantic Ocean. Very nice. The trip back was quiet and nice also, in spite of the host staying silent, and left us by ourselves, he he.

Oct 2023 • Family
Booked this for my family while we were in Albufeira for October half term. Reviews were good, but as we got on the boat I noticed that the 'Top Deck Experience' that I paid extra for was just several vinyl crash mats and a couple of plastic benches on the top of the boat.
The staff at the check in desk mentioned that the sea was 'slightly agitated' - by the time we got out on the water it was clear the sea was absolutely furious!
The slight drizzle that began as we boarded quickly became horizontal rain, and the waves were coming over the top of the boat. We were soaked through within minutes, but there were no handrails to aid getting off of the top desk and passengers were falling over trying to escape the weather and the waves.
The Captain announced that they were going to turn around unless the conditions improved, but despite the sea continuing to be horrendously rough, they carried on with the voyage.
When I eventually managed to crawl off the top deck with my son (is autistic and was absolutely petrified at this point) all the floors were inches deep in rain and sea water and there were no handrails in the 'lower lounge' (an area populated by a couple of plastic benches and vomiting passengers) so any attempt to get to the tiny toilet (don't forget you can't put paper down it) whilst the boat lurched from side to side was jeopardous.
One member of the crew was kind and noticed that my son was absolutely terrified and in tears, but all others ignored and just attempted to ply passengers with alcohol that was constantly watered down with seawater and rain. We ended up trapped in the lower deck (which, unlike any other boat tour I have taken, had no windows to be able to enjoy the view or at least keep an eye on the horizon to reduce motion sickness) and hanging onto a plastic bench to try not to slide off with the next big wave.
Hardly the exciting or relaxing excursion advertised and a complete waste of money. The Excursion Team obviously saw money as more important than the enjoyment or safety of passengers. I feel that the entire company should be reviewed for false advertising and safety breaches.

Dear Alexandra,
Our customer service team has kindly explained to you that we take great care in ensuring the safety of our passengers. We have thoroughly investigated the concerns you raised in your feedback and we assure you that at no point was the safety of our customers overlooked.
Prior to the tour, all passengers were informed about the agitated sea conditions during the check-in process. We provided options for our guests, allowing them to proceed with the tour, reschedule it, or cancel with a full refund.
On the day of the tour, our team reiterated the sea conditions to you and your family, and we regret if there was any miscommunication that may have led to confusion about the discomfort level. Our captain explained that if the sea conditions improved in the Galé area, the tour would continue as planned. After careful assessment, the captain navigated to the Galé Area, where sea conditions were significantly better, and the tour proceeded. This decision was made with the safety and comfort of our passengers in mind. The Galé area's unique geographical features allowed for a precise evaluation of the sea conditions.
We want to emphasize that our catamaran fully complies with the strictest European standards for maritime safety, including fire safety, flooding prevention, and safety in rough seas. Additionally, handrails are available on the stairs providing access to the top deck, ensuring our passengers' security at all times.
Please know that we have taken your feedback seriously, and it has been forwarded to our administration to further enhance our services and fleet. We hope you can give us an opportunity to demonstrate our commitment providing you with a positive and enjoyable experience in the future.
Once again, we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused and deeply appreciate your understanding.
Kind regards,
Algarexperience team

Boat crew are excellent. Was lovely to see the sandy coves and caves. Wouldn't recommend jumping into the sea at this time of year as my family did and it was icy cold. My 11 year old panicked as it was so cold and he loves sea swimming so please, if its too cold come straight back to the boat dont swim to the beach.

Had an absolutely excellent afternoon on board this boat with a fantastic and knowledgeable crew. As best man I initially booked this as part of an older stag group (which we subsequently found out later on that this wasn’t usually something they’d entertain without prior knowledge), however they still accommodated us which was kind and we were really grateful for, and equally we honoured there requests to be respectful and to not be overtly loud.
You couldn’t fault the afternoon tho was a brilliant experience, the 3hr tour takes you right inside the caves and past some other interesting, unusual rock formations and right along the coastline. There was also a bar on board the boat selling alcoholic and soft drinks at reasonable prices and a great atmosphere to both chill and take in the culture. Lastly the boat made a brief stop to allow those that wanted to jump into the sea to do so. The staff, captain and crew do an excellent job and would encourage anyone thinking about booking to do so.

Fantastic afternoon. Sea, sky .. and the caves were good too!
Well organised - there’s even a check in area. Staff professional and helpful. The lady guide went way beyond just delivering a commentary. She moved around the boat to interact with passengers and went to great trouble to answer questions about the area.

Very briefly when the boat stops. Anyone interested was allowed to jump in the water then had to quickly get back in the boat. Not much time for swimming.
