The office was easy to find just outside the port entrance. As we had pre booked our tickets it was straight forward to get our physical bus tickets and map of Bruges. We were given some tips and explanation of a good walk into the city from the drop off point and the times of return shuttle. The staff here were helpful and friendly.
However the return was not so good. We arrived at the pickup point (return times had been given as 15.30, 16.00, 16.30, 17.00 & 17.30) at 15.45 but a bus did not arrive til 16.30. One of the other passengers commented that she had been waiting since 15.35, and as another passenger asked the driver if she could wait for the next bus, the first lady suggested that she got on this one as it seemed the times of the next bus might not be reliable or might not come at all. (And cruise ships won’t wait for you)
The driver then got off the bus and took down the meeting point sign and stowed it in the bus. The lady passenger asked him how any one coming for the later buses would know where to wait but he didn’t answer, she asked again and he turned and shouted at her (he didn’t speak English to us so we don’t know what he said). She asked him again what about the other later passengers and he again shouted rudely and drove the bus back to Zeebrugge.
This was quite unpleasant and unprofessional, there was concern over what would happen to any other passengers and there was no reason for this driver to be so rude.

We got off the cruise ship via the port shuttle service to the main port buiding. We had a map showing where the actual pickup point was but to be honest it is so close you literally walk out of the terminal building turn left and it is there. Approx 100 metres from the building. You need to go into the small office to convert your electronic ticket into an actual ticket. There is another coach there in which you can wait should it be raining (as it was) The journey took about 20 mins and we got off in a coach park right by the old city. Return was ok just queued for about 20 minutes.
Overall just what you need for a visit to Bruges for a few hours without breaking the bank.

Booked online with a 'guaranteed' departure on the earlier buses. On the we arrived in Zeebrugge the queue was out into the street as 2 cruise liners arrived at the same time. Thankfully it was dry otherwise the 45 minute wait would have been quite miserable. Three buses departed and we boarded the 4th. The drop off is on the outskirts of Bruges. Return was much easier.
Buses clean and modern and driver was courteous.
Just a shame about the hectic start and staff overwhelmed by numbers

Shuttle service from the port to Brugge was very quick and easy, however, the return trip was not easy in the slightest. We departed on the shuttle coach at 9am roughly, we planned on spending some time sightseeing and we aimed to be back on board at midday. However, we were denied going on the return coaches (baring in mind these were all empty) and told we had to stay put until 1:30pm. The driver of the coach was rude and refused to take a group of several parties back to the ship. Most of them being elderly people who were clearly unable to stay hanging around the city until 1:30pm. We paid for a €20 return ticket and there was no reason for us to be denied the return trip to the port, despite the coach being completely empty.
After our 2 hour wait for the 1:30 coach back, people rushed back to the coach. Everything was terribly organized, people had doors shut in their faces even though the coach was full leaving them without a seat and the company couldn't care at all for their safety so they had to stand for the whole trip.
Overall, if you want a quick and fairly cheap roundtrip to Brugge and plan to spend most of the day there (avoiding the stupid 1:30 return) then they'd be decent for you. However if you're unable to walk around for too long, are disabled or elderly I wouldn't recommend this company unless you can timekeep perfectly.

Terribly slow service and definitely NOT the EXPRESS service advertised.
Despite booking weeks in advance and getting confirmation through the app, with details and barcode, we were made to join a very long, slow moving queue, in gale force winds, just to pick up a physical ticket and some discount cards, for the companies own shop in Brugge.
No shelter (would be a nightmare in the rain) and elderly people struggling in the cold biting wind, plus nowhere to even sit, whilst awaiting the shuttle, as there was none when we arrived.
20 minutes waiting to get our ticket.
20 minutes waiting for the next bus
25 minutes into Brugge
and then a 15 minute walk into Brugge from the bus stop !!!!
Express ????
Not on your life !!
Never again.

The wait for the buses was significant— the buses were overcrowded— people were sitting on the floor and steps. The 3:00pm return bus from Brugge never arrived so the last bus at 3:40 had MORE than double the number of passengers that the vehicle was designed for. Very unsafe and very uncomfortable.
Nonetheless the staff were very pleasant— but the organization was TERRIBLE.
PS we’d done this tour several years ago and all was well then — but not this time.

We booked a trip through Viator, paid for it online and on the day we were refused entry onto the bus.they said our ticket was invalid but the rest of our party were okay.our ticket was clearly in date and paid for and we was before the 12 mid day cut off point which didn’t make any sense at all.once we stated all that they merely just said we can’t do anymore and that taxis would cost €50 to and from Bruges etc so that straight away dampened our day as it limited our spending in the town centre etc,and then we had the hassle of trying to find our friends as taxi driver dropped us in the town centre.all in all Bruges is a very nice city but our travel experience was awful to get there and back

Hi John, I am referring to our chat we had earlier today. I am convinced you did not make it to our meetingpoint as we are not located INSIDE the cruise terminal but just OUTSIDE the cruise terminal. The directions (30 meter from the cruise terminal) are clearly stated in the product description and your voucher.
So I literally don't know to whom you talked with and said that you could not use our shuttle service. It was clearly not one of our team/representatives. Our shuttle service correctly up and running from 08h30 untill 12h00 (noon). In the afternoon, from Bruges to Zeebrugge, there were also shuttle busses from 14h30 - 17h30.
Our Product description:
Just take the free port shuttle which the local port authorities provide from your cruise ship to the cruise terminal. Once arrived: go to the main exit, turn left twice and at the opposite of the street you will find our headquarter where our friendly staff will take it from there.
So in that aspect I am very sad for you, our customer, for not getting to our meeting point to join and use our hassle free shuttle service, to enjoy our beautifull city without stress. At the other side I am even more sad that you just gave us two bad reviews about our service, two bad reviews about something that apparantly isn't our fault. :/ Our employees do everything in their effort to offer a top product as they are literally living for it. Those reviews aren't helping at all.
Kind regards
Cruise Express

Pre purchased tickets online.
Still had to wait outside, in the wind, in one line
with one person checking people in.
Perhaps an additional person to handle those with tickets to move things along faster.
Map provided very helpful
Drop off point a bit far from central
area of city.
Buses on time and drivers very nice.

As far as the service we receive it was great! What I did find confusing was the website and the downloading of tickets and where to pick up the actual tickets. It was a fair distance from where the buses dropped you off to the centre of Bruges. That being said would definitely use the shuttle again.

Excellent service. Caught cruise company shuttle bus to ferry terminal( less than 5 minutes) and followed map to shuttle service. Caught bus within 10 minutes after briefing about return times. Returned on 2.30 bus which arrived on time.

I see you take wheelchairs, my mother uses a small 4 wheeled scooter to get around, this can fold to go in a car boot. She is capable of walking short distances and can climb steps. Would she be able to bring her scooter if using your service?
Many thanks

BARGEPLEIN. It's a drop-off area for all tour buses. From there you cross the Minniewater on the BARGEBRUG (aka "the Little Red Bridge"), through the park & cobbled streets to Belfort Tower in the market place, which is the centre. The walk is about 15 - 20 minutes, no hills. There is (was a couple of years back) a little local bus for those who don't want to walk.
I want to know what time the last bus from burges leave, ideally i want to reach burges in the morning before 10am and leave burges after 2pm so i can reach zeeburge around 2:30/3pm.
In this page i can see the times are 8:30am - 12am, but once i booked it i can see it says 8:30 AM - 12:00 PM. While looking in the official cruise express website it says 8:30 a.m. and 12 a.m. (noon).
I am confused with these different times. Please can you confirm what the times are?

Yes, you need to walk about a mile from the Brugges drop off to the city centre. The stop is basically the same as the cruise tours drop you. Brugges only allows residential cars and so it is almost completely a walking city
