I received a special birthday gift from the family: a photography tour in Bruges, with 2 friends with the same hobby, to choose by myself!
All 3 of us thought it was a special evening in Bruges: beautiful views, fairy lighting and the super coach Andy Mac Sweeney to satisfy our hunger for better photos.
Andy provided in-depth guidance of the special angles in the medieval center and the canals, shared his many years of experience and took plenty of time to teach us the art of photography.
Our 2 hour tour exceeded our expectations in quantity and quality.
Also his photographic works are a must to buy.
I thank the family, ... and Andy.

In short, this photo tour was one of the best activities we did in Bruges. Andy is not only incredibly knowledgeable, but friendly and very easy-going. He has no problem explaining stuff on a smartphone, Nikon compact camera or Fujifilm cameras. If you can capture the attention of a 15-year old girl, an 11-year old boy while at the same time get them and us to think about composition and give tips that really matter, you really make this tour into a 3 hour exciting photographic experience.
Personally I enjoyed the complete package that he gives, not photography only but interesting and fun facts on the history of Bruges and whenever possible just a casual chat.
Heavily recommended... we'll be seeing him again in the future, that's for sure.

My mom and I did the tour together, although she just strolled with us and I did most of the shooting. Andy didnt mind at all and made her feel completely part of the tour. He's absolutely incredible and full of knowledge and he's keen to teach you how to get the best shots during your time on the tour. If I have more time I will definitely be joining the day trip as I dont think you can ever get enough teaching from him!! He knows the perfect spots for the perfect shots and shows you exactly how to get it!! If you love photography and want to get the best places in Bruges, then dont think twice to book a session with him!! Completely worth it and you will never regret it! Meeting his four legged child at the end was the cherry on top 😁 but I'm a dog lover so it was cool

Unfortunately with the current Covid-19 pandemic I could not go on the photo tour. That is too bad as I was looking forward to it. Andy's pictures on his website are great.

Working with Andy to set up the tour was a pleasure. He was very accommodating. Even when I had to cancel, he was easy to work with. Only wish I was able to go on the tour. Perhaps next year after the pandemic has passed, ...

Very lovely guy who adapted the tour well to our needs (my sister's operated leg) and was able to go into enthusiastic detail whenever we had particular interests or further questions. The way he presented photography was very inspirational and gave me new ideas in what ways to improve the way I choose my motives. He was very positive and encouraging about reviewing my takes on realizing the discussed techniques. I am a very amateur photographer which was no problem at all and he's definitely not snobby about 'only' using smartphones.
Thank you very much, Andy!
