Chaotic from the beginning to the end
The meeting point was changed, the place where the tour started was crowded with people. I really had to search for my English guide. He didn't really put the flag to everyone to see. The guide was there, but was he really? A lot of people showed up after 35 min bc they missed him from the start. I learnt more by google stuff up. In the end, he pointed us in the wrong direction for taking the boat ride.

      Ignorant company
Buendia Tours Bruges 34 984 70 84 84 are idiots. They employ a tour guide to take you around Bruges, but they have no idea what he does, where he goes, whether the tour is wheelchair friendly, how much of the tour can be done with a scooter, which boat they use on their own tour, where the boat on there tour is located. Ana is a worthless representative. She said purchase their tour then ask the tour director a few minutes before the tour starts, after you have already paid Buendia. They are scam artists if they truly know nothing about the tour they organized.

      Gorgeous place, interesting tour
The walking component of the tour was fantastic - learned a lot. Check which boat operator to use - we couldn’t get them to honour the ticket.

      Great boat trip
Visit to Bruges. Great historic boat trip around Bruges. The ‘captain’ really knew his stuff and could translate it into 4 different languages! Only €15 each for half hour trip. Worth a look.

      Great Experience
Both cities are well worth seeing. I personally preferred Ghent over Bruges, which was more crowded, but our tour guide did a good job of taking us to the sights to see in both cities. In addition to those guided tours in each city, we were given an hour and a half on our own to explore the city, which was ample time to do so.

      Great experience
Brilliant day trip. Coach was lovely and clean. Commute took around 3 hours each way with around 4 hours of free time to roam around the city. The guided tour was great however our tour guide’s English was slightly confusing at times. Overall great day out, would definitely recommend.

      Weekend trip to Bruges
The tour guide did not manage the large group well. For example, quite often they would talk to the group while walking in front making it nearly impossible to hear. It would have been better to stop the group and stand in the middle while speaking.

      Fairytale place to visit
Fantastic views - all photo worthy. Guide was inexperienced but still did a good job. Our only complaint - tour was sold as a 3hr tour whereas it actually lasted 2.5 hours

Guided walking tour & boat ride disappointment
Too many anecdotes, not enough history. False description of the walking part and boat ride. For example, the itinerary showed one hour walk, one half hour boat ride, one hour walk. Instead two hours of walking straight was too much for someone older. Boat ride wasn’t connected with guided tour guide. We thought tour guide was going to accompany our group on the boat, which she didn’t. Guide was hard to understand. Stories were interesting and appreciated guide’s enthusiasm.

This was an action packed day. Marc our guide was awesome 10mins at atomium for pictures. Guided tour for 90mins around antwerp castle and main square, about 2hours of free time. ( visit the inside of the train station in this time) Guided tour of ghent 90mins, about 2 hours of free time. Sitting by the canal taking the view in was my favorite. Do this tour! A good bang for your buck

      Petty good a couple glitches
Sergio and the walking trip was wonderful. Funny, informative, efficient. The meeting spot could have had better directions. The canal trip was lovely but the guide was had to understand with a muffled microphone.

Bruges and Ghent Day Trip from Brussels
Bruges and Ghent Day Trip from Brussels makes it easy to experience these charming towns while visiting Belgium. One insight... there is a worn out saying that "if you don;t like the weather, just wait a few minutes and it will change..." This is so very true in April in Belgium... light rain, sunshine, cold wind, light rain, sunshine, rinse repeat every few minutes. Bring ponchos. Beautiful architecture, medieval feeling.

Great guide Camillo, great walking & boat tour,
Camillo was a fantastic guide very friendly extremely knowledgeable and very funny, he took the group off the beaten track to places we wouldn’t have known existed and the history behind these places that we wouldn’t have known if we were exploring by ourselves.

A great day trip to two amazing locations full of history and memorable locations you can take pictures!
Juliana was our guide and did an amazing job telling us the history of the locations. We enjoyed our trip very much and will be visiting again in the near future. If you want to get a mass amount of information on two great trips then this tour is a must!

I don’t normally write reviews, but this tour was actually bad. First the tour guide had problems checking everyone in to the tour. Then we get on the bus, along with a Spanish speaking tour, and compared to the length of the Spanish tour explanations, we were getting minimal information. The Spanish tour also received water bottles and headsets on the bus. We were not offered anything. Upon arrival to the “bathroom break” stop, we were not informed that we would be getting off the bus for good for the day. Everyone got off for a quick 10 minute bathroom break, and one man understandably left his bag and jacket on the bus. I almost did the same. However the bus left, and the bus driver refused to return. This man had to go all day in November cold weather without his jacket or bag. I was furious on his behalf. Meanwhile the tour guide kept saying he “forgot” his belongings. He did not “forget.” We we’re not properly informed. The tour around Bruges went fine, but was pretty uninteresting and light on information. I wonder if our tour guide was new. Her English wasn’t perfect either. Overall, if you’re just looking for an easy bus ride to Bruges, this trip accomplishes that, but not much else. And be sure to keep hold of your belongings…

Transportation is GREAT there and back! If I could do this again, I’d still book the tour but I would go off on my own when arriving at Bruges. Our tour guide was very impersonal and you could tell this was clearly just her day job & not something she was passionate about doing at all. She SPED through the sites, barely engaged with the group (even though there were only 10 of us), and didn’t leave any time for us to take photos along the way. If you were to stop, she’d be long gone before you had a chance to snap a picture & then you’d literally have to RUN to catch back up. Bruges is GORGEOUS and I highly recommend adding this as a day trip, but don’t have high expectations on learning much unless you’ve got a different guide. The town is charming & the people are lovely. It was extra magical because it was all done for Christmas. Highly recommend the chocolate shops here—they were even better than in Brussels. Make sure to wear comfy shoes!

So the overall trip was fine but the experience was bad. 1st this we arrived on time and we find that the bus is not there. We had to wait for 1.15hrs for the bus to arrive, this is pathetic.
After we reach there the guide have taken us around the city explaining most of it and it was done in about 1.2hrs and then asked us to explore on own for 3 hrs. If we have to go on own why do we need you for the tour. I advise to visit the place by self there is nothing that this tour offer which you can't do be self.

The defroster on the bus was not working, and the tour guides had to keep wiping the winshield with towels so the driver could see. Did not exactly make for a safe feeling. The tour guide in Bruges was very good under horibly adverse weather conditions. The only fault I had with her is that she didn't wait for the group to catch up from stop to stop before she started talking.

This trip exceeded expectations and was very pocket friendly.
The tour guide, Vita (Buendia tours) was so amazing, knowledgeable, friendly and entertaining... She took time to explain everything in detail, i can tell you that i havent experienced this in a while..
Al though there was Spanish announcements in the bus, it never interfered with our comfort..

Bruges is a beautiful place with lots of history and amazing architecture
Julien (our guide) was enthusiastic, conscientious and knowledgeable
The bus got us there and back OK
The price of the trip was reasonable given the travel etc. Julien recommended a place for lunch on a corner which was really good

    Negatives
The transport was a single decker bus, not a coach. It had a/c but was not comfortable and was the worse one in the waiting area (the others were all nice, luxury coaches)
The coach was shared with a large Spanish-speaking party and so the journey over to Bruge was spent with the two hosts handing over from Spanish to English and back which was tedious
Whilst Julien's English was very good (100's of times better than my Spanish, German or French) - there were some often used terms that it took us an age to work out what was meant e.g. for a long time we were baffled about the Asian architecture and history when it was meant to be Ancient architecture and for a while we thought the Beginhof was about begging rather than beginning - something to think about

Overall feedback is that we are glad we went to Bruge but it felt like the overall experience could have been better

Day starts at 0830. There were people missing running late and as annoying as that is for us that were on time it was nice to see that the team did wait a bit as things do happen.
The bus ride is about 1.5 hours on a comfy coach. There is good chat and vibe from the guides (English and Spanish).
Then you are left to chat some zzzs.
Once in Bruges we were given a walking tour with Jamal and he was great. Very friendly, funny and informative!. We were pointed out all the major spots and told a bit about each one. Then given 3-4 hours to explore on our own. We thought this may have been a long time but turned out to be perfect.
    Bus leaves at 1645.
Great day out and Bruges is such a beautiful city.
Thank you Jamal and bus driver!!!

Firstly, having read other reviews it seems standard that you share the coach with the Spanish speaking tour. Not a massive issue, but it does feel like you miss out on the information about brussels as you are driving through the city, as they do the Spanish speaking first - by the time its back in English whatever they were talking about is long gone.

The timings spent on the tour and free time we felt were good, however the tour itself was disappointing. Our tour guide didn't make any effort to engage with the tour, spoke very quietly and trailed off at end of sentences without really explaining anything. He seemed somewhat genuinely interested in the history but it wasn't engaging, he spoke at us not with us. Overall it was a bit slow and painful, two members did drop off within the first 5 minutes. We had no issue with the language barrier, he spoke clear English which was good.

He also gave absolutely no specific recommendations for where to eat. One person asked where to get the best waffles and his response was anywhere, they're all the same.

On a separate note, there was no chocolate shop discount (or opportunity for tasting) as said on the "whats included"

Apologies to Diego because he seemed like a really nice person. It was a shame because we really enjoy tours and having an enthusiastic, engaging tour guide is really really crucial to delivering a successful tour.

Excellent tour, well organised. Met at front of main train station in Brussels. Our tour guide Salva was very knowledgeable and helpful on the walking tour around the city of Bruges. We had a good sized group of 12 people so we didn't feel lost in a big crowd. There was about 3 hours of free time after the walking tour. Well worth visiting Bruges and doing a tour like this means you gain knowledge and also the travel is stress free. Well worth the price.

It was a lovely trip, our guide Vita ( Buendia Tours) was really knowledgeable, friendly and such a warm person. She recommended lovely places to shop and dine with discounts. Although the group was mixed together with a larger Spanish group we did not feel left out. For the price, this is a must do when you visit Belgium. Make sure to try the chocolate beer :)
