      Do the tour with Sebatian
Great tour with Sebatian. He is a great tour guide, storyteller and is quite popular local in the city. Best point in the tour was going on the rooftop and seeing a panoramic view of the city.

      Not to be missed !
This was the highlight of my time in Brussels. My tour guide was Eddie and he was the most charming and fun guide for our group. Eddie was full of history , legends and stories of his life . We stopped at several places I would have overlooked. We experienced the traditional Brussels mussels dish, meatballs , the most amazing chocolate, and waffles .

      Amazing food
This tour was so yummy. It is a great idea to have tasting in a private setting rather than a restaurant. The mussels so good with no fishy smell. Love the meat balls as well. The beers were very flavorful. When I was already almost full, a full serving of waffle and coffee. The chocolate tastings were out of this world. Will definitely go back to Galler and buy some home. Thanks Avo .

More beer than history. Lots of fun.
It was definitely a beer/booze tour. There was some history and trivia in there. Eddy was funny and willing to mold the tour to what we wanted to do. The younger crew was definitely into drinking. We did some tasting being older than them. He didn't do the boat ride which was fine, we'll do that another day. Just have to be ok with drinking. Thanks Eddy, we had a great time.

A must do tour for Brussels!
Highly recommend this tour for anyone spending time in Brussels. Our tour guide, Eddie was excellent! Very friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable about the different types of beer and the history of the area, and very happy to answer any questions we had. We were in a group of 6 for our tour and it was like drinking with old friends. The sample sizes of the beer were also very generous. This tour is an absolute must!

      My Experience
The guide - the guide was amazing! He was this nice man named Eddy who knew a lot about the sites, additional history, and had an overall sense of pride in Brussels’ history that heightened the experience. He was able to maneuver the group around without trouble and was interested in hearing about our personal stories and telling us about himself. The tour/sites - the tour’s layout was really nice as well. We started by eating chocolate, my favorite being from a store called Galler, and then went to try beer, snacks, mussels (my favorite), meatballs, and waffles. The land points along the way were beautiful and worth the visit. Additional - I would recommend planning accordingly for the weather. When I went, it was raining a little, cold, and windy, so I would recommend wearing enough layers because a big portion of the tour is spent outside, bringing gloves (maybe use Hot Hands as well), an umbrella, and a hood or earmuffs. Just keep a lookout for the weather reports and bring the necessary items!! Also, I was a little confused on where to meet our guide (in front of a restaurant called Mary), and if you find yourself confused too, calling the tour operator number was really helpful because they picked up quickly and were able to direct me with ease. Overall - I would recommend this trip 100%, and I really loved the experience. I had no prior knowledge of Brussels history and was traveling alone, but the guide and group made the journey enjoyable and the food was delicious!

      Do not recommend.
This is a review of the Brussels Lunch Walking Food Tour. When visiting London, we decided to take a day-trip to Brussels for the sole purpose of enjoying this well-rated walking food tour experience. We found the amazing reviews on Yelp and TripAdvisor which made our decision a no-brainer. TLDR: - If you think you're going to have a lovely time tasting food at local places, you will be disappointed. - For the first hour 90 minutes we literally walked in a circle around the meet-up point and finally had two chocolate store tastes. - You'll be told "This is a great place for beer!" "This is a great place for fries!" but will not stop to try the beer or fries. - The "Brussels Lunch" is served in a small tour-owned room (far away from everything), not a restaurant. - At 90 minutes we had to ask if there was a restroom, which there was in the tour-owned room (needs some cleaning). - Lack of checking in on guests during the tour to see who may need a restroom, or a break, or a seat or anything for that matter. - Our guide talked so fast we missed half of the valuable things he was sharing. More Details: Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable of the area and had many stories to share with us, but it was not audience centric. It became more about spewing information, dates, facts, details, regardless of anyone being engaged or interested or not. There were several examples where we would come across a business and he would tell us, "This is THE BEST PLACE to get a (beer, fries, etc.) you must come here for the best experience!" and then we'd keep walking, wondering why we weren't stopping to try these special items. Instead of being taken to a local restaurant to try the mussels, we were taken far off the beaten path to their own kitchen where there were 3 tables, tightly packed in a small room. While being told "these mussels do not smell, they're different than anything you've ever tried," we were overwhelmed by how warm the room was, and the overwhelming shellfish smell had us leave the tour immediately. We've been on many food tours across the world, and we just felt completely let down. We decided to leave before receiving their kitchen-prepared food. We are down for lots of walking, taking in sights, learning new things, however this tour was not fun, not pleasant, and just not for us.

      Not worth the cost.
Under impressive and not worth the cost. Food was not all that special. Not much of a history of the sites. Felt like he was dragging out the time but not covering much of the sites. The spot for muscles and meat balls was not a real restaurant and was very sterile. We were the only ones in the place.

Great Tour - Well Worth the Time and Money
We loved our Discovery Tour of Brussels! We only had one full day in Brussels and this tour made our time so much better. The food was delicious, beer was amazing, and our tour guide Eddie rounded out the entire experience. He was knowledgeable, kind, and took the time to get to know us all. Eddie made the tour what is was, the good beer and delicious food was just the cherry on top! I would highly recommend this tour if you have some time while in Brussels.

This was a great tour to visit some fantastic chocolate shops. Our guide, Eddie, did an excellent job given that it was only he second time. He was very good at giving us the history of Belgium and Brussels. Every chocolate shop we visited and had a tasting at was incredible. We even went back to two after the tour to buy some chocolate.

This is also a great way to see some of the city. We walked through the Grand Place and even saw the three "peeing" statues that hold very high status in Brussels. The workshop was not exactly what I was expecting. While it was fun to decorate different cookies and snacks with chocolate, it wasn't exactly a workshop in my opinion. I was a little disappointed by the semi-misleading description, but it was still fun. Everyone was so nice and pleasant. And the chocolate was delicious. I would recommend this tour to anyone, just know that the workshop is just decorating, not really a workshop.

We booked this tour with great anticipation amongst our children. We showed up on time and waited in front of the Godiva store as instructed…we chatted to every tour guide in the vicinity without finding our guide for 20 minutes. We called the phone number given 10 times until our guide picked up to say for us to wait for him to come. We waited 45 minutes. We called him again repeatedly, for him to tell us that he was now leading a beer tour and cancelling our tour. Really unprofessional and a disappointment. Thank goodness we were refunded eventually but a big waste of time.

First of all the refund you had, was thank to us. We have to decide if Viator can refund the customer. I think you were at the wrong meeting point or far too late. If a customer has a problem we receive a first call from Viator. And I checked there was no call. The problem here must be in the middle. A big misunderstanding and failure from both sides.

10/10 would HIGHLY recommend to anyone who loves chocolate and history. We were a group of 3 who had the BEST chocolate experience of our lives. We visited 5 local chocolate confectionaries and chocolatiers where we sampled 2-3 chocolates at each location plus some other treats and the workshop was very well done! Avo was an amazing tour guide who was very knowledgeable and passionate about chocolate. I would do this tour again and would recommend anyone to sign up for this tour with Avo!

Highly recommend, especially early in your trip to Brussels. Not only do you taste the best chocolate Brussels has to offer, you actually learn about the process of what makes chocolate so great. The city tour between chocolate stores provides plenty of history and recommendations of where to go and what to do. Well worth the price considering the amount of chocolate you sample. Making our own chocolate treats was super fun. They even provided beer during our chocolate making experience. Overall, definitely recommend this tour

We had limited time in Brussels and am so glad that we signed up for this tour! Not only was it a great way to get to taste chocolate from multiple shops in the area, but it was a great way to see the city and learn about its history! I would highly recommend!

Excellent Tour, full of chocolate tasters in different shops. Thought the tour guide we had was extremely knowledgeable and had a good sense of humour and showed us lots of the main sights in Brussels. She went out of her way to make sure my partner who was feeling unwell (pregnant) was still included and for this I can’t thank her more. Chocolate making also a fun and tasted really good. Would recommend highly

The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating of our schedule. I would have preferred the workshop to include some nicer options for “making” chocolate - for what we paid I was underwhelmed with that part of the experience. I liked the walking tour and learned a lot. Overall I enjoyed this tour - the selection of chocolate shops and samples were fantastic and appreciated the discount offered by several chocolate shops we visited!

We had your guide Benny and she was FABULOUS!! She was so knowledgeable and answered all of my family's random questions. We walked ALL OVER Brussels. I know this isn't recommended for smaller kids, but my kids (6, 9, 12) LOVE chocolate and were able to keep up. I definitely recommend this tour. Tasting great chocolate and getting to see all the peeing statues in Belgium was an added bonus. The chocolate making workshop was a great break from walking and allowed everyone to be creative.

This was the highlight of our trip to Brussels. We ate far too many chocolates (almost all of which were delicious). The chocolate workshop was somewhat fun too, and there was definitely a lot of interesting history our tour guide shared. We also ended up getting discounts at two of the 4 shops, which worked out since they also had our favourite chocolates.

I was conflicted with how to rate this tour. My teen daughter loved it but I thought it could have been done in half the time without the workshop. I will try to summarize. Beni, our tour guide, was good. She educated us on the different regions and sourcing of chocolates. She also hit a few highlights of the history of architecture around the square. However, it felt like it took so long to get to our first chocolate tasting. The pace was very slow and being hot outside it really made things drag on. The "workshop" is really just pouring melted chocolate on a plate. The workshop stop was a good time to cool off, get some water and go the the bathroom. We stayed there probably a little too long. Then, we had three more shops to visit after that. It really dragged on in my opinion. I think the tour could be done in two hours with the chocolate pouring. My daughter, on the other hand, loved the tour. So I will rate the tour as average.

Hello, you booked this tour for your daughter. She was happy with the tour and you weren't. And it was very hot outside, which is not our fault. The workshop is 1hour, enough to learn how to make your own creations. And if you participate in an active way, the result is amazing.
