- Lauren Z0 contributionsHighly recommend! This is a great tour if it’s your first time in Amsterdam. We had a great time on this walking tour. Our guide, Kevin, took us through the city from the east end to the west end and made a lot of stops to point things out to us of historical value and also of cultural value. Our guide was very knowledgeable of the history of the city and explained a lot to us about the coffee shop culture and the red light district.Written October 19, 2024
- Patrick C0 contributionsDefinitely worth the timeOur tour guide, Catherine ( i pray that I didn't mess that up), was absolutely fantastic. I came into the tour thinking I was gonna see the seedy underbelly of the red light district. To my surprise, I learned the deep, rich history of not only the district but also the surrounding areas. You will not be disappointed.Written October 18, 2024
- S9680SMchloea0 contributionsInformative and good funSuper informative tour. Our tour guide was Aarre and he was class. Really passionate and engaging when talking about the history of Amsterdam. He made the whole tour really relaxed as if it were your mate showing you around the city. Would definitely recommend asking for Aarre if you decide to go on the red light tour! Thanks againWritten October 17, 2024

- Alexvanegas0 contributionsNot worth the priceI feel so bad for writing a bad review, but unless you have no idea what the red light district is, then this tour will be for you. I had already walked around the red light district a day before this tour, so I felt like we basically just walked around the same parts again, which you can do for free on your own. I do appreciate the history behind it, but again, something you can look up online. The tour guide was nice, but we had to stop every single time someone asked a question and then she looked mad/annoyed every time we asked questions because she kept on repeating that we were already running behind and that the tour would end later than it should. She even asked to keep going and not ask questions, in a nicer way, but I feel like that’s what the tour is about and you can just talk and walk, since we were not near the windows at that time.Written October 11, 2024
- laN290IS0 contributionsExciting and interestingI am curious about the Red Light district in Amsterdam so I went for a tour with a group. Our tour guide, Adam, was knowledgeable about the history of the area. Keeps us right on what and what not to do. He was a fun guy. Good to do if you are going solo. Give this a go.Written October 10, 2024

It is an easy 15-20 minute walk from the Rotterdam Train Station to get here-- it is all level . An amazing building that houses separate apartments that appear to look like cubes all upside down- 38 of them. If you come here and the Museum is open, it is worth a quick self-guided tour to one of the apartments open- it is only 3 euros but they only accept cash.
It is incredible to see how the rooms are huge enough to house furniture as they are furnished to appear how everything fits into the room(s). Definitely an unusual looking building to visit.

Our visit to the Cube House in the dynamic and modern City of Netherlands of Rotterdam is an eye opener indeed and its architectural and structural construct of a human habitat is simply out of this world.
The yellow cubical construct can be seem from afar and as you started to walk in-situ, it just marvels all of us and is a joy and unique experience to cherish...
The only downside of this tour however is that we did not have a chance to view the interior design and do make sure your tour covers this to complete the awesome walkabout of the place.
If you are on your own, it is only a short walk from the another landmark of Rotterdam, the Market Hall...

If you are in Rotterdam for a city trip, a visit to the cube houses is fun. You have to have good mobility because there are a lot of stairs! You can see it in about 20 minutes, but it is worth it.

Remastered, the old masters of Dutch painting seen from a new perspective. An hour that takes you back to the past, but also into the present.
