Great way to start weekend in Amsterdam
Just got back from a lovely run with Frans. I I asked when booking if we could extend the run to 10k as opposed to be typical rude and they happily obliged. All in all, I think we did around 11k and I was able to see parts of the city that I never would have known to explore on my own -including instruments that were absolutely gorgeous. I am not a talker when I run. Frans was able to keep up a running (pun intended) commentary with lots of history, stories, information about on going cultural events. For context, I run a lot at home and am always training for some kind of endurance race. Frans get the pace up so I really felt like I was still getting a workout in, he made regular stops for sight seeing. I highly recommend to serious runner who are new to the city and looking to get their bearings, as well as not so serious runners interested in the history and touring aspect. They will match your pace! I also have to say that as a woman who runs alone a lot (with all the safety concerns that brings), it was great to be able to get out with a running partner while it's still dark and not have to worry about being alone. I don't think Amsterdam has many issues in that department, but for my first run in this City, it was nice to not have that nagging concern the back of my mind. Wonderful experience!

great way to see the highlights of Amsterdam
My running tour with Paul was a lot of fun. Paul planned the run to include the highlights of Amsterdam while providing interesting and humorous insights into all that is Amsterdam. Highly recommend!

The best rainy day fun I've had in a while
Paul met me on a rainy morning with a big smile - and kept me going for 2 hours with lighthearted laughter and insightful descriptions of the buildings, the people, and where there was time a brief history lesson. This was a great way to get to know the city - and people on a later tour I went on were impressed with how much I had already learned from Paul. Looking forward to coming back here and doing another one!

Running Tour Of Amsterdam with Paul Bierman touristrunamsterdam.com
My running tour with Paul was the best experience of my life. Paul is the most awesome, knowledgable and fun person. I heard and saw the most interesting stories and sights, all while running at a comfortable pace. I have never had the oppurtunity to experience something like this before. Being an active person, I couldn't have asked for anything better. It was the highlight of my trip. Paul is just so wonderful and interesting, whilst still showing me diffirent ways to strengthen my run. I just wish I had booked for a longer period. If you are an active tourist in Amsterdam - you just HAVE to experience a run around with Paul. He also takes the most amazing pictures!!! I still feel like a model. Thank you Paul, I cant wait to meet up with you again in the future. Oh and did I say how safe I felt! WOW NEXT LEVEL EXPERIENCE!

A great guide and a brilliant run!
We really enjoyed our morning run tour through Amsterdam. Paul is a knowledgeable and humorous guide. The time and miles flew by as he shared many jokes and stories about the city and its sights. He even recommended the best place to go cheese tasting (which was delicious)! We had a great time and would definitely recommend doing this tour at the start of your stay in Amsterdam to really get to know the city.

          Great morning run of Amsterdam
Paul met me at our airB&B. He will adjust to whatever pace desired. Great knowledge on Amsterdam history. He also taught me to be wary of the bicycles. Highly recommend.

Great running tour, would highly recommend
I did this running tour in a group with the charismatic and charming Paul! We met on the “little” bridge where Paul shared a love story with us (you’ll have to do his tour to hear it) and we then ran through central Amsterdam: it’s canals, cathedrals and condom shops! Paul was full of interesting facts and could answer any question you had, he knows his city very well! He ran at a pace suitable for us and we even had a race through one of the parks!! I learnt a lot about the history of Amsterdam in a place I’ve been before and can easily be missed if you do the usual things here! Paul even gave us some merchandise at the end! I would highly recommended this to anyone visiting Amsterdam.

We really appreciate discovering the city while running with Paul. He always comes with funny anecdote or joke. One hour was even too short...

Best way to start the day!
My wife and I were doing a whirlwind tour through Europe (Denmark, Belgium, Amsterdam) and we booked our tour with Paul. We especially enjoy doing running tours wherever possible as we are both active and don’t want to waste our time on a hotel treadmill! Connecting with a local with similar interest in running is definitely the way to go and our experience with Paul was outstanding. He is funny, warm, and a real local with an insider’s knowledge that can’t be beat. AND he picked us up at our hotel! We couldn’t have been happier and look forward to another trip to wonderful Amsterdam and another running tour!

Fun Informative Run in the Heart of Amsterdam.
Many thanks to Paul for a fun morning around the streets and bridges of Amsterdam. Lots of information and anecdotes and history to help bring the city to life as we trotted around. The hour and fifteen minutes flew by. Met and.dropped off right at the hotel door. Thoroughly recommend ed.

Great way to explore the city
Really glad we booked this running tour! Paul was great and we can’t recommend him enough. He knows his city and a lot of the people in it. We found running to be a fun way to navigate through the crowds (we visited during the busiest week of the year) and Paul helped us discover places in the city we wanted to return to the following days. He also took photos of us in some beautiful spots and emailed them over right away. Thanks again Paul!

A delightful way to enjoy Amsterdam with Paul
Running with Paul is surely one of the highlights of my stay in Amsterdam. He was punctual and very friendly which i found helpful when running with a stranger for the first time. Throughout the route, Paul would show me interesting places and landmarks with stories about or behind them, while constantly checking out if i was okay. Nice photos he took too so that i can have cool stuff to memorise my run experience. On top of that, a running coach himself, Paul gave me some nice advice on how to improve my run. Totally a plus! Thanks again, Paul. Jetana

Absolutely as Good as All the Reviews Say!
I was a little nervous about this run tour as the reviews all seem a little too good to be true. I'm also not usually one for guided tours or meeting up with strangers, but I am so glad I got over myself and signed up. I was not disappointed! Paul, and run guide in training Eva, were super friendly, so knowledgeable, and fun too! We covered everything from museums to unobtrusive, blink and you'll miss it street art, to Anne Frank House and the nearby LGBT Holocaust memorial (which you'd also miss if Paul hadn't stopped us), to the King's Palace, to even a brief pop into a local cheese shop! We stopped to admire the different forms of architecture throughout the city, take pictures on the skinniest of bridges and prettiest of canals, and on and on...all in an hour and a half. Truly, I loved this tour! As others have said, this is a fantastic overview for when you first arrive in the city. I was able to pass along all I'd learned to my 70 year old mother in the following days as we wandered about. The run is not strenuous in the least; assuming you're like a once a week runner you'll be more than fine. We chatted in full sentences the entire time. Paul asked me how much I run and clearly tailored the pace accordingly. I'd say we never ran more than 500m without a stop for a longer chat/photo, and for the most part it was more like 200-300m at most at a time. Sign up, you won't regret it!

Educational and Scenic Run Through Amsterdam
Paul met me outside of my hotel for our 75 minute run through the city of Amsterdam. Paul was super nice and easy to talk to and very knowledgeable about the city as well. We made our way around the city early in the morning, which I suggest so you can avoid the crowded streets later in the morning. Paul took me through a lot of places that I would have missed on my own. He also recommended some museums that were not on our itinerary, but we added them and were thrilled with what we saw - Rembrandt House and Our Lord in the Attic. Both were worth the trip and only visited because of his recommendation. I would highly recommend this tour.

An excellent running tour of Amsterdam, lead by Paul who knows the town well. A good running pace allowed us to cover a lot of ground. 15yr old daughters had a great time. Highly recommended.

Had a very enjoyable winter run around Amsterdam with Katya who was very fun and informative. The highlight was the shocked expression on the face of one lady in the red-light district when she opened the curtains to see us running past in fluorescent running gear at 8.45am!

I think this a great idea to have a local guide show you around this beautiful city and keep fit at the same time! especially after a long flight and to burn off jet lag. Paul - a local, is great fun, you can talk and run at a nice pace, while discovering key areas of Amsterdam, it was pooring rain but I didn’t notice, I’d do it again no problem! Great for solo travelers
