About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- jjmangin0 contributionsWindmill and bike tourOutstanding tour with Roberto. He paced it out well with explanations and history of this great area 15 mins outside Amsterdam by train. Great scenery of farms, windmills, the castle and the surrounding area. The visit to the cattle farm was awesome and the fresh milk and cheese were great. My wife and I highly recommend!!!!Written September 1, 2024
- F931XSkimberlym0 contributionsA wonderful dayRemco was on time. He showed us some beautiful parts of the countryside with a trip to a farm. He was knowledgeable about Dutch engineering which we found fascinating. A wonderful day.Written July 15, 2024
- rebeccakP7182UL0 contributionsGreat tour!We had a great tour! Remco is very knowledgeable, and we learnt so much about the country on our tour! All the spots he took us too were gorgeous and it’s an experience we will never forget!Written July 9, 2024
- 174sheriw0 contributionsProceed with caution this overpriced, under delivered “tour”Pretty countryside tour, but a few things to note before you go: A) confirm the itinerary with the host before you go. We did not do at least 80% of what was advertised on TripAdvisor. When noted during the tour, our guide Franky blamed US for misinterpreting the details! There is no cheese tasting as promised, nor entry into castle grounds (just viewed from very afar). B) you must be an expert bike rider to sustain on this tour. My two friends and I were only presented 3 bikes and when we requested the seats to come down, he said that it was okay to have our legs hyper extended! Thankfully he helped my one friend out at a local bike shop because she insisted. Not the best way to begin a tour (telling the customer they should not feel the way they do!). Their “quiet bike paths with minimal traffic” were in fact very busy roads where pedestrians and drivers shared. We had to walk our bikes off the path twice to avoid begin hit by massive trucks! Not for the weary of heads. C) half the sites were closed or blocked off due to construction or other reason. It was a Thursday, so they should’ve offered some alternatives. D) the guide only offered personal stories, very minimal history or historical significance was discussed. At the end of the day, this tour is VERY overpriced for what you get, and god forbid you turn into one of the previous clients who fell into a ditch head first or had trouble operating the too-tall bike… It’s too bad, we had a set of expectations based on the tour description and were let down. Proceed with caution, or take your business elsewhere.Written May 30, 2024
- 32demisc0 contributionsFantastic !We were picked up from the canals in a fancy classis Jaguar S Type. Our tourguide was a born and bred Amsterdam guy who was really fun to be with. After the windmills, cheese and clogs we went of the beaten tracks an extra half an hour to see the famous Duch countryside. Very recommendable.Written September 18, 2023
- I6703RRjuliaw0 contributionsHighly recommend-- fun and memorableWe had an absolutely fantastic time with Remco. The route was fantastic and we really enjoyed all of the history, facts, and interesting (often amusing) side notes. Weesp and the neighboring town with castle are very special. The bikes fit us perfectly (we have 2 tall, 2 short in our family), which we all appreciated-- very comfortable . One highlight among many was tasting fresh milk and ice cream. It was everything I hoped it would be for our family-- a private tour, a great day biking (very good exercise) in fresh air with beautiful countryside. Very personal and also very professional. Fun and memorable. Highly recommend.Written August 5, 2023
- Y2888OXmatthewc0 contributionsGreat ride!A long, rambling bike ride through the country with the energetic and effusive Remco. Not only does he know a lot of great facts about the Netherlands, but he takes you on a lovely, scenic route through some picturesque countryside.Written July 22, 2023
- carolynhadjigeorgiou0 contributionsBeautiful AmsterdamWe had the worst weather with trees down and services down BUT Remco thought quickly on his feet and reworked our tour and fitted in everything. Remco showed us his Amsterdam and it’s most beautiful country sideWritten July 9, 2023
- jeancZ7281TU0 contributionsWhat an awesome tour and tour guide!!My husband and I absolutely loved this bike tour! Our tour guide Remco was so friendly! He made us feel very welcome, and he was amazing with the information about his country and showing us a beautiful countryside! He’s also a great photographer too and captured us with some awesome scenery. I highly recommend this tour! I wish Remco could be our tour guide for all the Netherlands!!Written May 14, 2023
- jbeanMelbourneFl0 contributionsexcellent experience. No crowdsNo Crowds, saw much more than we would have if we were on a tour bus. We were late getting off cruise but driver made arrangements so we didn’t lose time on tour. He asked what we wanted to see and we saw all of it. From fields of tulips with no crowds to working windmills in fields.Written May 5, 2023

- jessicaeY8095AO0 contributionsA must do on your trip to Amsterdam! An excellent, must do experience! My family and I joined our guide, Remco, for a bike ride through the Dutch countryside on a very chilly (about 40 degrees F), very windy, and somewhat drizzly March day. We had such a great time the weather was irrelevant! Remco guided us through beautiful villages, past authentic windmills (two of which are still in use), to a farm where we sampled fresh milk and homemade ice cream, past WWII bunkers, and more. In addition to teaching us the history of the area, he also filled us in on current events and issues facing the local citizens. Near the end of our week in Europe, I asked my family to list their favorite experiences and every person mentioned the bike tour as being in their top two (watching Real Madrid v. Liverpool at Santiago Bernabeu took 1st place for two of them). It is an awesome experience all ages will enjoy (our group was 50, 44, 17, 15 and 12), and I would do it again in an instant.Written March 21, 2023
- eelsjack0 contributionsWonderfully picturesque bike rideThis was definitely an extremely unique experience. It was a cold morning but that didn't bother us. Remco was a great guide and was really fun to talk to.Written January 7, 2023
- Rebpuckett0 contributionsGreat morningIf you are looking to get out of the city for the day this was the way to go. Remco was our guide and he could not have been friendlier. He had a great sense of humor and showed us some interesting views and gave us some interesting facts about the area. I highly recommend this tour opposed to the big touristy groups. The bike ride was fairly easy. We took the train from the central station to Weesp. At the end of the tour my husband and I had a couple of beers and lunch at the Wiesp Brewery which used to be a church. Great day!Written November 13, 2022
- nataliev7560 contributionsIdyllic countrysideFantastic tour along the idyllic countryside just 25 minutes by train from Amsterdam Central station. Absolutely enjoyed it. It’s suitable for any level of bike drivers - I haven’t been cycling for quite some years, and I was fine throughout the ride, and was able to enjoy the views while riding after a couple of minutes of getting used to it. Overall, 10 out of 10!Written May 30, 2022

I stayed at the hotel for a week.
I first met Seema, Reception Manager. She was very intelligent, helpful, relaxed, respectful and friendly and she had a good sense of humour.
The food was nice and wholesome. Dorota, who managed breakfast and dinner was also very friendly, polite and helpful.
Thank you for a good time.
