His professionalism, attention to detail, and dedication to ensuring a great experience were evident from start to finish. Every concern or question I had was promptly addressed, leaving no room for any issues. - Roving359886743820 contributionsWell worth the extra cost - a great exprienceErik’s tour was fantastic and great value. He was very engaging not only pointing out sights but also giving us background and history of Amsterdam. He gave an entertaining tour and my children really enjoyed it. The group was small enough for it to be personal. We would definitely recommend this to people who are looking for something of higher quality than the mass market large boats.Written September 8, 2024
- Compass298509227090 contributionsSmall group canal cruiseMare was fun, informative and a great captain. It was a terrific choice for our 1st day in Amsterdam after a very long flight from the USA. Snacks and drinks were very good as well. We enjoyed meeting the other people in our tour as well but mostly appreciated the small size of the group (8). Highly recommendWritten August 23, 2024
- T4309IVdavidm0 contributionsHighlight of our trip to AmsterdamSuch an amazing experience! A great way to see Amsterdam and avoid the crowds. Our captain Mare was amazing and so knowledgeable. Snacks and drinks were great and I’m so glad that we did this instead of one of the large boats. It was a great intimate trip with a small group!Written August 22, 2024
- Sparkinthenight0 contributionsHighly recommend!!!This was an incredible experience! Totally worth the price for a two hour ride and a more personal experience. There were 9 of us total on the boat, which I appreciated even more as giant tour boats filled with people went by. The guide was excellent and answered all of our questions. The drink and snack selections were great and never ran out during our cruise. I did a lot of research on canal cruises and am so happy I landed on this one. Everyone had a great time!Written August 21, 2024
- M7059QXkimj0 contributionsNIce, but maybe not the one for me!It was a nice time. The young skipper was nice but he could have told us a little more as we were going through the canals. The way the boat sat you couldn't see anything in front of you just from the sides and I wasn't very fond of that. The snacks were nice and fresh. There were a few kids on board and one was jumping around the whole time maybe too long of a ride (2 hours) for her. I chose this one because it did come highly recommended so maybe it was just the group we were in. All in all it was nice but I would try a different company when I go back again.Written August 21, 2024
- I841OA_0 contributionsVery happy boat experienceI came to Amsterdam on a business trip. I booked this boat, the boat was very clean, and the scenery of Amsterdam was beautiful. The breakfast was very good, delicious and tasty. The service was great and hygienic. It was delicious. The environment was clean and tidy, and the waiters were very polite. I will choose this place for my next dinner!Written June 29, 2024
- Guide071160831630 contributionsOne of the best boat tours I’ve been on !I have been on countless tourboats on my travels, and I can full heartedly say that this has been one of the best!! Our captain was super friendly and told many informative and also very funny stories. Thanks to this tour we got to experience Amsterdam in a totally different perspective, both figuratively and literally! The goodies on the boat were great too; we throughly enjoyed the croissants and the Prosecco was to die for! I’d definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Amsterdam. :)))Written June 29, 2024

- 112jojoe0 contributionsA must, a perfect boat tourWe had the most brilliant and memorable boat tour yesterday. A trip for my partners 40th birthday and one we will never forget. If you are lucky enough to have Skipper Flip as your guide you are in for a treat, he was just wonderful, the perfect host. He has been sailing for much of his life and is studying History and is incredibly knowledgeable and entertaining. His combination of historical facts and how they’ve effected modern day Amsterdam is fascinating. Plus we loved learning a bit about him, we travelled with our 1 year old son Wolfy and we both said we’d love him to grow up to be like Skipper Flip. Plus the wine and food is gorgeous!Written February 23, 2024

Excellent experience! 2 hours cruise with great companion! Captain Erik was a great guide, sharing personal stories and curiosities of the city of Amsterdam. You will be impressed!
The boat was immaculate, the snacks and food delicious, and the additional bonus were the bitterballen bought straight from the restaurant!
I cannot recommend it more!
Since it is a small boat, you get a totally different experience if you compare with those tourist boats of 90+ passengers…
Totally worth the price!

The tour was absolutely awesome. Capt Storm gave a fantastic tour of the sights and history of Amsterdam as well as some comedy mixed in. The snacks and drinks were also great and there was plenty of both. We were originally scheduled on a 5:00 tour but it was raining and the boat was not covered/enclosed. They took the initiative and contacted us and rebooked us on the 7 PM

This was a fun trip and a great way to end our stay in Amsterdam. Moses was a great host and set the mood nicely by giving out shots of dutch firewater at the very start. We were so fortunate that we had a lovely bunch of people on our tour. From early on it was obvious that we had come to enjoy the tour and the sights but also the free flowing wine! Moses gave us some interesting information along the way but this was more ad hoc and in answer to questions rather than a robotic presentation. The food was fine although I could have done with a wider variety of cheeses. The wine and beer were perfectly good and there was a good selection of non alcoholic drinks although no hot drinks. That may be different in the colder months. All in all we had a great 2 and 1/2 hours and considering the food and drink ( and in comparison to the prices of large group cruises) it was good value. Thanks Moses.

Absolutely brilliant boat tour! Marcel our guide was great. Plenty of snacks and drinks and the bitterballen delicious! A fabulous way to see the city. Recommend a late afternoon evening tour (we went january and booked 4pm) so that part daylight and then see the sunset and the city light up! Great to hear about culture as well as historical facts and building info. Highly recommend this tour!

This tour was a major highlight of our time in Amsterdam! Huge thank you to Mare for making it such a wonderful experience. Would absolutely recommend and our smaller boat experience looked way better than those larger/crowded boat tours passing by.

We were so happy with this canal cruise! We wanted a smaller more intimate cruise and this was perfect! Captain Storm was so funny and informative, with plenty of stories regarding the area and its history. We enjoyed a beautiful array of cheeses and snacks while having the option of several unlimited alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. It's best to choose a time when the sun sets during your cruise so you can also enjoy the beautiful lights on the bridges and throughout the city. Everything ran smoothly and the two hours flew by! We highly recommend this canal cruise!

We had a great time on the boat tour of Amsterdam! Communication was clear, and the instructions were easy to follow, making everything seamless from the start. The boat was well-stocked with plenty of drinks, snacks, and food, which was much appreciated.
The Festival of Lights was a bit underwhelming, but that had nothing to do with the tour itself, and we were glad it wasn’t the main focus. Captain Moses did his best to point out highlights along the way, and despite the cold and rainy weather, we stayed warm and comfortable with the flaps down, blankets, and heaters on board.
That said, keep in mind that the boat is small, so once seated, it’s a bit tricky to move around. There’s also no bathroom on board, which is worth noting for planning purposes. As nice as Captain Moses was, he didn’t provide much commentary about the canals or the city, so if you’re looking for an informational tour, this might not be the best fit. For us, it worked perfectly as we ended up chatting with the other passengers, who were from the US and Australia, which added a fun social element to the experience.
Overall, it was a cozy and relaxing way to see the canals, with a friendly atmosphere and plenty of amenities!

We had a fantastic time! Captain Charlotte went out of her way to make us welcome, patiently answering all of our questions, pointing out the various landmarks we passed, and expertly navigating the tight canalways. She served us delicious gluhwein and hot chocolate and even brought out piping hot croquettes which were the best I’ve had in Amsterdam so far. The tour took us through many parts of Amsterdam and gave us a glimpse of some spots we earmarked to visit later. Since it was the rainy season, they even had a canopy with transparent portions to not obstruct the view. Overall, it was a wonderful experience thanks to Captain Charlotte and this very well run tour. Would highly recommend!

Highly recommend! One of the highlights of our trip. We ran late a few minutes and the captain waited for us! This was a night cruise and it was very small 7 people and intimate. I prefer the smaller group because we really got to know our captain very well and make connections with him and the guest from around the world.
Upon booking I let the tour company know my husband has a GLUTEN ALLERGY! The most amazing part is that they were able to accommodate 100% and make him his own personal cheese, cookie, and veggie board. He fell in love with the gf strop waffles!
For the rest of the guest we shared a really nice cheese board, with salty and sweet food! Our captain even made a surprise stop !
The boat was stocked with wine, cold beer water, and other options and even warm mulled wine which was unlimited.
Our caption was truly the best! Friendly, funny and extremely knowledgeable. He shared so many facts and visuals about Amsterdam and pointed things out as we sailed on the canals. We got so many fun photos and learned so much ! This was a 2hr cruise and it was really nice that is it longer than most other tours because you really get to see things and take it all in !
100/100 would recommend this tour and company for anyone who is looking for a fun romantic night out!

Captain Erik was very charismatic and unique. His family and him have deep roots in Amsterdam, and so much history to share during the canal tour of the city. These tours are smaller in size and a much better group experience than the large tour boats. If you’re looking for an interactive guide with good snacks and wine, this is the one you want to book. His boat is also covered, so that was very helpful with unpredictable April weather.
