Beautiful and interesting. Our guide Lucas was an excellent captain and pointed out all the points of interest along our journey. It is a completely different view of the city from the water. We opted for the evening cruise and the lights and nightlife were a sight to see. Enjoyed some wine and beer and some light snacks like cookies were available. We left from a dock near the riks museum which required us to take a taxi across town. There are also boats that leave from dock near central station that would have been walking distance for us.

Fantastic host. Very knowledgeable and amusing. It was cold so wrap up warm. The included drinks and nibbles were great. All in all a fantastic trip.

I had gone out of my way and spent more money for a boat that wasn’t open to the elements seeing as i knew it would be freezing. That didn’t matter though because we had the ONLY open air boat and it was 2/3 degrees. So I ended up paying nearly twice as much as other tours for a worse situation. Blankets were provided but you can imagine when it’s 2/3 degrees and your sat on a boat for 1.5 hours it’s gets freezing! There was a drunk woman that wouldn’t be quiet had to been told multiple times to be sit down and stop. It wasn’t what we had paid for and there were several better boats for a lot cheaper. Not happy.

The evening canal cruise run by the team at Captain Jack Amsterdam was wonderful. We had a fabulous view of the city from the canals. The bridges were lit beautifully at night, and the city looked so different from this view. The young host Olly was very well informed and added a lot of humour to the trip. We also enjoyed the small selection of cheese, biscuits and sweets, together with the complimentary wine. We felt the experience was excellent value for money.

Fun tour, and friendly staff who give interesting stories and facts about Amsterdam. The boat was not open-air though, as it says in the description, and the boat did not pass the places stated in the description either.

Very disappointed with our evening cruise trip. We had expected an informative live guided trip by Captain Jack as booked covering the places listed and windows which we could see through but what we got was a boat with most of the windows with clear plastic which made visibility difficult and it was a boat of mixed bookings with some having wine and cheese booked.First 10 minutes was host's giving out cheese and with no information followed by some brief history on the houses and a few stories,don't know if we passed all the listed places but mainly felt like it was focused on keeping the drinks topped up.Also one host not aware that his conversation with some guests around a discussion on smoking or trying other substances for 5 minutes may not have been suitable around some younger children listening to them.Overall a very disappointing trip would avoid it.

Nice relaxing experience down the river. But it was very cold and wet. The seats were wet from the rain, we were given blankets to sit on but the wet seeped through. Umbrellas were provided and drinks were served on board. Overall in the summer I am sure it would be great, but they need to consider the weather and accommodate this, material seats to sit on in the wet was not good. The step down to the boat is not practical for the less mobile person

Had the best time on the Amsterdam Evening Cruise! The city looked absolutely stunning at night with all the lights reflecting on the canals—such a magical way to see Amsterdam. Our guide, Onno, was fantastic—friendly, funny, and full of interesting facts that made the trip super engaging. He kept the whole experience interactive and exciting! The drinks and Dutch bites were a great touch, making the cruise even more enjoyable. Would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Amsterdam—relaxing, beautiful, and a great way to take in the city! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great crusie which we really enjoyed, the guide had lots of information and our only gripe would be that you couldn't hear him alot of the time (maybe a microphone or something would help) - the tour did start late and seemed a bit unorganised at the beginning but was fine after that.

Captain Jack’s canal tour with Onno in January was cozy, informative, and a must-do in Amsterdam, despite a late start!

This is an introductory tour of Amsterdam at night. The accommodations were pleasant. Most of the highlights mentioned by the tour guide were discussed in length by a previous tour guide. If you're familiar with Amsterdam, I would not recommend outside of the nighttime scenery.

When you go to Amsterdam, you have to take the canal tour!! What a great time!! Our captain was a blast and so knowledgeable. Snacks and cocktails were available. Highly recommended!!
