On our cruise, there was a group of around 10 drunk college aged students, talking REALLY loud and shotgunning beers as fast as they could. The rest of the boat could not hear ANY of the info that the tour guides were trying to provide. The guide asked them to quiet down, and then when they didn't, she decided to speak to just one half of the boat, essentially ignoring the others seated near the loud group. I found it pretty disappointing that the captain didn't intervene until the very end when we were almost back at the dock, yelling at the group that they needed to listen. I have no idea what sights I saw, what type of cheese I was eating, or what the drink offerings were other than beer. Thankfully the ticket was super cheap or I'd be pretty mad.Written March 22, 2025

A really nice canal tour I could definitely recommend to anyone doing.
This is the rate without the all-inclusive cheese and whine they give you. I could recommend to anyone however to invest 10€ more in to all inclusive option so you are not exluded, which happened to me, because you get wrist bands classifying your rate you booked. But of course you got to remember this only lasts 1 hour and it goes over fast.
The Tour guides were really nice and their dry sense of humor was lovely for me as German. The atmosphere in the boat among all the tourist was really nice too, which I didn't expect.
All in all, this is a "must" for everyone coming to Amsterdam and I would book this with the all inclusive the next time!

Basically a great provider of canal tours! The trip itself was great, we opted for a trip on the smaller, open boat. The skipper and bartender were very friendly and told us some nice stories about the city.
One point deducted because we had originally booked a trip at 11:15 a.m. from the Rijksmuseum, but no boat showed up. All the passengers were standing a bit lost on the jetty. I was able to contact them immediately by phone and was told that there was a problem with the boat. We were able to rebook at short notice to 12:15 p.m. with departure from the Anne Frank House and we also received new tickets by email. So we had to get there quite quickly on the tram. But everything went according to plan there and the trip could start. Overall, the problem was handled well and quickly, but it still left a small aftertaste and there was no other compensation.

We booked the tour for my friend's birthday, and were a little disappointed when the weather was grey and rainy the day the tour came around. As it was meant to be an open-air boat, we were worried that we'd end up getting drenched. However the boat had been fitted with rain covers that, although they made it harder to see the views around us, kept us comfortable and dry.
The very front of the boat wasn't covered up to ensure that we still had a good view of what was head of us, and we were allowed to slightly unzip and look out of the covers on the sides of the boat if we wanted a better view.
Erin was our captain and host (she explained that the host had called in sick so she would be performing both roles) and she really made the tour fantastic. We still got to see some great sights even through the rain covers, and Erin kept us entertained with stories about the history of Amsterdam and the Netherlands. There are complementary blankets on board to stop you getting cold, and Erin gave my friend a free glass of wine for her birthday. We really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend Flagship!

We were really looking forward to our canal cruise in Amsterdam, but unfortunately the trip was quite clouded by the skipper, Albert. Early on we had the feeling that he didn't like us very much as Germans. The whole thing culminated in him pointing out our volume in a rather unfriendly tone. From that moment on, the mood on the boat was unfortunately in the basement. It was a real shame because the weather was wonderful and the storyteller who led us through the city was fantastic. He really saved the ride. The beverage supply was fine, but ultimately the bitter aftertaste remains due to the behavior of the skipper.
We would generally recommend such a ride, but hope other guests catch a friendlier and more professional skipper.

Total scam. We booked a luxury uncovered boat tour with an on board bar and a maximum capacity of 30 people. When we showed up, there was no such boat. We stood around for 30 minutes waiting for our fictitious boat to be told that they shoved our tour onto a crammed, covered, cafeteria looking boat. They then said it was our fault for missing the boat we didnt book. Promised a refund that never came. Ridiculous...

Great trip good value for money - the 2 guides were funny and made the trip very interesting with lots of opportunity to ask questions. Both guides spoke very clear and made sure everyone could hear what they were saying. A good way to see parts of Amsterdam we wouldn’t have seen as only stayed for a 3 day break. Definitely a must if you visit the city.

Really enjoyed this boat trip, guide and captain were very friendly and told us a lot about the city and were happy to give recommendations. Boat has a bar so you can order from the menu. Card payments accepted. Would definitely recommend this as it is a smaller capacity boat (max 30) in our case was 15 so feels less commercial. Open top boat, better to see the views and enjoy the sun.

The tour started an hour late and we were given 10 minutes notice of this .
We were booked for 11 and were then told 12. Then the 12 0’clock boat was full so I had to explain that we had a museum booked straight afterwards. They had to go and get the boat cushions after Kings Day .
It was rather a shambles and not a luxury boat as described.
The young lady sorting out the chaotic queue was amazing and will go far in life !
The young lad doing the commentary was also very good .
It was sad that our boat was surrounded by floating rubbish- mainly glass bottles and food packaging.
The views were beautiful.

Our Canal cruise was fortunately on one of their covered boats and the weather was rainy. Our Captain Bob and Hosts Sanna & Alycia were delightful and gave a really informative (& funny) narrative as we cruised, snacked and drank! I'd highly recommend this group. We actually missed our booked time as we had a difficult time actually finding their location but they were able to get us onto the next cruise!

We went at an amazing time of day - we left around 6:30pm and got back to the dock around 7:30pm. The boat was great - small, but not too small. We had a total of 17 people on the boat with some room to spare. The captain and the host were great - very pleasant and informative. They shared great information about the area and answered our questions in clear and concise manner. It was exactly what we wanted. We couldn't have been more pleased. We highly recommend them (my wife and I).

The boats are open unless it rains. When I just went on April 4th it was open. They can cover it if the weather is bad. That's why this is one of the better tours. This boat is a more personable tour where the skipper and host give the tour. Unlike some of the big name boat tours that you get on where they give you a headset to listen to the tour and you're in an enclosed boat. You definitely want to go with flagship and they should have an open boat unless it rains. Even then it's more of a canopy and there's some openings on the side if the wind isn't bad.
