Enjoyed this experience. Was enjoyable to see three different distinct towns outside of Amsterdam. The guide was prompt and timely which I appreciated. I would recommend this tour.

Could never do all three villages in one day in any other way..
The tour leader was quite friendly and helpful..

Very Disappointed
This was a full day trip with long distance driving. The tour operator indicated a minivan but guide showed up in a very small car and crammed 4 adults in - quite uncomfortable. Guide was sweet but inexperienced and provided no real historical context - and was silent most of the day. It was more of an expensive taxi ride. There was no planned tour of any of the areas, just a do it yourself attitude. The windmills are worth visiting , but crowded with tourists, Volendam is a charming seaside town, but Giethoorn is 1.5 hour drive from Amsterdam and not worth it IMO.

I apologize you are not satisfied with your tour on the Easter holiday. I tried my best to work this out. I did explain the history of the places, but maybe not elaborated enough. At first, I gave the group the chance to walk around Zaanse Schans and secondly because the group could get lunch separately and later we able to meet in one hour time after lunch. About the transportation, If we have a minimum of 5 people in total, we arrange a mini-van (like the other group), less than 5 people we normally provide our customer with a sedan. You complained that the area was overcrowded, You are completely right about that, we can not control that…. due to the holiday (Easter), People want to see beautiful places just like you. It was also the choice of the group to skip the boat tour (your own idea). And standing in line to get on the boat is normal in holiday time, it will take no more than 10 minutes.
