    Worth a visit
Very interesting exhibit and took longer than we expected (not a bad thing!). You do have to pay 1 euro to put your bag in a locker as you are not allowed them in the exhibit but they are spacious enough for 2 small rucksacks. You start the experience at the top floor and work your way down, we would recommend reading all the information as it really explains what you are seeing, we found the part on dementia particularly interesting!

    Inspiring
Incredible, this is a unique insight into the human body that most of us would never have the privilege to see. We had been lucky to catch the exhibition on tour a few years ago, but this was even better. Thank you to all those who have selflessly donated their bodies to this incredible experience.

    Unique in Amsterdam
Really interesting and unique experience. Particularly enjoyed the different specimens relating to different pathologies. Definitely worth a visit as you won’t see anything like this anywhere else. Myself and my friend went late at night and there was no queue and minimal people inside, which made it relaxing to walk around and view the exhibits at our leisure.

    Ok
It was interesting to see the specimens , but there weren’t a lot of correlations with happiness. I expected more, taking into account the introduction of the museum.

    Interest and fun
Really interesting museum with a fantastic layout. Had a good laugh at some things and learnt a lot about the body. The scan at the end was also super cool to see your own body percentage etc. This place has lockers for bags also for €2 which is super helpful if you've been out and about all day.

    One hour with family
Interesting facts about the body. But not interactive enough. I guess because many of the try-things didn’t work properly. A camera was out of function, a screen with something to try also error. And the screen with laughter yoga not working. At least half of the blood pressure machines out of battery. No toliet paper or towels to dry hands with. When we got back down the excuse was ”there are lots of people here today” and ”we are well aware that they aren’t working”. No refund given.

    Fascinating exhibition
An absolute must, especially if interested in anatomy, biology, science or are medical. The exhibition is well displayed with a vast amount of information but also lots of visual things and videos to watch, also some more interactive things rather than just reading everything. We spent 3 hours reading everything. A good meaning behind the exhibition. Would highly recommend if you have a genuine interest. Suprised at the amount of people that attended just to walk up to the displays, take a photo, then walk off. Why attend if not interested in understanding what you're looking at? Nothing to suggest photos not allowed but I feel they shouldn't be as it seems disrespectful.

    Fantastic experience with my mum
Had an amazing experience!!!! It said the average experience is 1 hr or an 1hr and a half, we spent 3 hrs in there as there was just so much to read and see!!! If you're into science and how the body works this is defiantly something you should see. I probably wouldn't take kids with me as they'd get bored but it all depends on what you've got planned for the day. ARJEN answered all queries and discoveries we had adding to the experience further.

Body worlds is an interesting exhibition! It was very nice to see muscles and, for me personally, especially the nervous system in real life after learning a lot about it in education. The information you get wasn’t very new for us, but I think people who don’t work in the medical field can profit a lot off of this! :) the staff was extremely friendly! Especially Arjen at the entrance was a real friendly and funny guy who just gave you a good mood to start the tour :)

I personally disliked some theories about happiness a little bit, but that’s on Dr. Van Hagens and his philosophy - I would’ve preferred to see some more in depth reasoning for some of his hypotheses, but that’s his work & I’m just a viewer :) at some points it was also very crowded and loud, so if you are sensitive to noise or crowds, maybe try to come very early. Something that kind of bothered me was the toilet; it had an unpleasant smell to it (but there was a button you could press to communicate how happy you were with the toilets and if they smelled good or not - so I was pretty happy with this solution!)

All in all I was happy to spent my money on the exhibition once and can congratulate the team on their professional and friendly work ethic. I’ll have to say that maybe Dr. Van Hagens' perspective isn’t quite mine but it sure gave me a better understanding of the human body. I would recommend visiting body worlds if your in amsterdam - but also check out vouchers and coupons you could get! 😁

Really great experience at Body Worlds Amsterdam. Argen welcomed us with a huge smile and set the experience off to a great start, he was knowledgeable about the experience and even gave us a little shower cap as a gesture for a mix up with the prices!
The exhibit was great and good fun, as well as educational too. We weren’t sure whether to visit BodyWorlds during our trip but we’re very glad we did.
Thanks Argen - love from two girls from Leeds!

Great visit for anyone interested in human anatomy. It was great to see what runs within you live and the experience throws light at our bodies which we take for granted. Don’t miss the line while climbing down stairs thru the exhibition. A special shout out to Avjen at the entrance who was great at guiding at the best possible way to see the entire story.

We spent 2.5 hours looking around the fantastic museum spread over around 6 floors. Museum is laid out in a very logical order, and hugely thought provoking seeing what is happening within your body. I came away with a lot of photos to show others. I have already changed my diet as a result and the final section covering off 'happiness' factors shared by people who have lived to an old age, meant we left with some very positive ideas for the future. Very well put together and thanks to Arjen on the door when we left - you put an extra smile on my wife's face!

Been wanting to come here for a long time and I wasn’t disappointed. Really educational and I learned a lot. There were 7 or 8 floors and lots to see so it was really good value for money. I do wish we had opted for the audio tour option so I think that’s worth paying extra for. Also thank you to Arjen at the door for brightening our day and being super welcoming.

This was ideal for my other half who works in a medical profession but anyone can enjoy this exhibition which is unlike anything you'll see in many places. It's extremely fascinating not only to learn about the human body in this way but also when reading about the process and time it's taken to prepare the displays. These are real bodies that have been donated to science.

This stretches across 6 floors, talking through every possible area of the human body. Everything also has a theme behind it which educates so much around mental health and wellbeing.

Without giving too much away, you will see a variety of examples across different stages and get an idea of what happens in your body depending on lifestyle. They have truly thought of everything with this exhibition.

This isn't a guided tour. You can walk through in your own time and spend as much or as little time on any area of interest. We took our time to explore everything which took around 1.5 - 2 hours.

You will also get the opportunity to receive a free body test at the end of the exhibition. This is normally a paid test in The Netherlands so the opportunity to receive one of these for free is great. It might also spark some interesting conversations with your other halves; it's fair to say I wasn't allowed to visit the bakery afterwards!

Location is ideally situated around 5 mins walk from the central station and tram stops. The exhibit is suitable for all and a great opportunity to educate little ones too.

We took three children aged 9,10 and 11 and we all found the museum really interesting and loved the focus on happiness. We’ll go back next time we’re in Amsterdam. Arjen on the door was really helpful explaining that all but the eyes and hair are real! He gave the kids their treasure hunts and prizes. It was a great morning and we all learned something!

This was a very interesting place and informative about the body and how it works. It uses real bodies donated to science so may not be for everyone but because they are plastinated, I wouldn't say it was too horrible to look at. It was pretty quiet when I was there (late on a Monday afternoon) so I don't think there was any need to book ahead of time.
