An experience
Very informative, well curated and a little bit creepy. They really brought the human anatomy down to its bare bones- excuse the pun!

Much and sometimes complex information on human body
First you have the shock/sensation of real bodies, but soon the interest takes over. For young children it is much information to grasp while not always very simplistically explained. It offers parents some nice opportunities to discuss the added value of healthy living and drivers for happiness.

Amazingly friendly staff and interesting exhibition, mainly just not happy with some of the content
Body worlds is an interesting exhibition! It was very nice to see muscles and, for me personally, especially the nervous system in real life after learning a lot about it in education. The information you get wasn’t very new for us, but I think people who don’t work in the medical field can profit a lot off of this! :) the staff was extremely friendly! Especially Arjen at the entrance was a real friendly and funny guy who just gave you a good mood to start the tour :)

I personally disliked some theories about happiness a little bit, but that’s on Dr. Van Hagens and his philosophy - I would’ve preferred to see some more in depth reasoning for some of his hypotheses, but that’s his work & I’m just a viewer :) at some points it was also very crowded and loud, so if you are sensitive to noise or crowds, maybe try to come very early. Something that kind of bothered me was the toilet; it had an unpleasant smell to it (but there was a button you could press to communicate how happy you were with the toilets and if they smelled good or not - so I was pretty happy with this solution!)

All in all I was happy to spent my money on the exhibition once and can congratulate the team on their professional and friendly work ethic. I’ll have to say that maybe Dr. Van Hagens' perspective isn’t quite mine but it sure gave me a better understanding of the human body. I would recommend visiting body worlds if your in amsterdam - but also check out vouchers and coupons you could get! 😁

Arjen is a great host.
We had a nice tour. The tour started on level 6, then you walk through each level, and you end on level 1. It is highly recommended to visit Body Worlds.
