Had a great time on this tour of beautiful Alkmaar. Jennifer showed off a lot of beautiful old buildings with amazing architecture. She was very communicative and able to answer all of my questions. Definitely a great value. Had a blast!

Perfect way to visit the old centre of Alkmaar and the cheesemarket. We had a great tour with Jenifer who walked us trough the centre to the market, which is an experience! Good explanations and interresting stories. Thanks for the tips for the boattour, shopping and lunch. We had a perfect time.

My 82 year old mother and myself took Jen's tour through the beautiful streets of Alkmaar. We were so impressed with her enthusiam, knowledge and passion for what she does. It truly came through over the course of the afternoon we shared with her. She emailed us ahead to confirm the meeting place so it was really easy to find her. She shared some of her favourite places and shops of the city, places we would never have found on our own. She truly makes the 2 hour tour fly by. She told us so much of the history of the city while enjoying the beautiful views around the city. It was interesting to get her viewpoint coming from a Canadian who has become a local of the city. The pace of the tour was very pleasant and easy for my mother to keep up. Wish there was a Jen to tour every city with. Would definitely like to do her bike tour the next time I return.

Kudos to you for a great walking tour. Your personality suits this venture just right. You made us feel like family as we walked the narrow streets of Alkmaar. We had a great feel for the city and did enjoy the deliciouis Dutch mini pancakes (sorry, forgot their names) that you recommended after the tour. Glad your kids enjoyed their Kings Day extras!

Thanks Jen your walking tour of Alkmaar was a delightful experience. You are such a warm and welcoming guide who makes your guests feel relaxed and informed. Your attention to detail is exceptional and the ‘secret’ local tips invaluable including the yummy rhubarb sorbet at the Ice Cream shop.

Great tour with Jennifer and daughter Izzy. Jen told us stories, gave us history of the region and walked us down streets, alleyways, and along canals that we would not have seen on our own. A very delightful afternoon. Absolutely a must do if in Alkmaar and if you have a ten or and eleven year old see if Izzy can join the tour....she is great with kids.

Jennifer is a very friendly and very knowledgeable on the history of Alkmaar. The walk took us to lanes that we might not have noticed. We had passed by the Bullet House for a couple of days without realising it. Loved all the stories that she told us on the tour and the special favorites to look out for.
Lovely walk, beautiful town rich in history. Really loved Alkmaar.

A fantastic tour of Alkmaar with a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide!
The tour is a great way to see Alkmaar, learn about the town’s history and it was a real pleasure to spend a few hours in Jennifer’s company.
The tour takes in the main tourist sights that you’d expect, but we especially liked the more quirky and interesting buildings/ points of interest, including the local food and drink recommendations!
I would highly recommend this tour for all ages and those wanting a more bespoke experience than larger group tours provide.
The tour is a great way to see Alkmaar, learn about the town’s history and it was a real pleasure to spend a few hours in Jennifer’s company.

We had the most wonderful guided tour in lovely Alkmaar. What a beautiful place! Our guide, Jennifer was just amazing. She was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and made the tour very interesting and fun. We were two couples and that was a perfect size of the group. I would definitely recommend this tour!
