- 886tinal00Great overview of Zurich! We came upon the host coincidently - we were meandering on our first day in Zurich with a plan for a walk per our guide book. When we saw the host, I believe his name is Julien, we asked if we could join and he said "of course"!. The walk was so interesting - through the Altstadt where the Roman remains are, over to the other side of the river and the large cathedral. The host gave us tidbits both historical facts and some local knowledge. I am so happy we spent the time on this walk with an expert.

I send this voucher for my sister and nephew to do in Zurich and they both hated it, They said it was very touristy, the guide only talked about the city which they already know.
I did this type of tour in London and it was fabulous we went to very special chocolatier houses and found out the most interesting stories about chocolate and the art of making chocolate. I expected this tour to be as good as the London tour considering how famous the Swiss chocolate is. Very disappointing. I will never book a tour like this again!

We spent a week in Zurich and went on this tour with Peter one rainy morning. Peter himself was a wonderful guide, providing us with his perspective on Zurich and Switzerland which was quite enlightening. The chocolate tour itself was disappointing to me, as I had hoped for a tour that would take us to a few less well-known chocolate houses. Here we went to three of the four largest and best known swiss chocolate houses (Sprungli, Tuescher, and xxxx), and these companies have stores all over the city and in the airport etc. I was hoping to stop in at a few of the many smaller more boutique chocolate houses, but that wasn't what this was about.

Loved our tour guide Peter. Loved the trek to the chocolate shops and appreciated learning Swiss history and nuances along the way. I think if I could improve one thing, it would be to add more chocolate history. Like why Switzerland is known for its chocolate or the history of the stores.

We had a great time on the tour. It was as much a traditional tour as it was a chocolate tour. Maria was a very enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide. I think the one word I would use is balanced to describe the experience. If you want only chocolate, then you may consider an alternative. But if you want a fun experience in 2 hours, with an easy walk and fun guide, then please consider this one at a very fair price.

We were looking for a budget friendly way to see Zurich when we came across this tour; both of us were very excited.
Meeting the group was easy enough.
Our tour guide was friendly and pretty knowledgeable, he just didn’t seem super invested in the experience. Which I understand, I am sure he does this a lot. He guided us through the city and gave us some really interesting history while being able to munch of some treats.
My only real issue, is that for the price we paid, I was expecting more than just three chocolate stops, and was expecting a little more than the small bits we got from each shop. Maybe it’s because most things in Switzerland are expensive, but it being our first excursion of the trip, we were expecting more.
This isn’t a denunciation of the tour, it was a ton of fun and I would do it again - it’s more of a tempering of expectations.

What a great way to spend 2 hours of easy walking around Old Town Zurich. We visited 4 chocolate shops and had delicious samples in each store. We did purchase some very pricey chocolate on the tour, but our guide told us afterwards that the Swiss chocolate in the local grocery stores are just as good. Live and learn:) Our guide, Victoria, did a fantastic job and filled us in on some city history as well as a great suggestion for a lunch spot. Would highly recommend this tour for a fun Saturday afternoon.

First, Zurich is beautiful and we enjoyed the walking tour. Also, the chocolates we tasted were delicious and plentiful. We had our fill of chocolate for sure.
I was disappointed in the lack of focus and knowledge of chocolate by the tour guide. It was billed as a Zurich history and chocolate walking tour. We did walk. We did eat chocolate. We hear a lot of Zurich and Swiss history. However, it wasn’t really a tour that had anything to do with chocolate. The guide didn’t know much about about the chocolate shops we went to and could not speak about the candy to any level of detail.
We had fun and we enjoyed purchasing our own lovely chocolates, but I wouldn’t do this tour again. I like food tours where they actually talk about the food.

Miguel gave an excellent tour balanced nicely with historical facts and anecdotes along with a spectrum from old to new chocolatiers in Zurich. Well worth the price! A unique experience.

The chocolate tour with Noa was brilliant. She told us many interesting facts about the chocolate making in Zurich which was definitely worth it! And we also got to taste many different chocolates along the way and it was sooo tasty.
