Fantastic day trip up to Jungfraujoch, we departed from Zurich with 2 guides, Eduardo and Su, very interactive, friendly and knowledgeable on the journey to the top.

Check the weather ahead of time as not all attractions at the top are open depending on conditions, still great inside though.

Remember to open up any pressurised food and drink, it could get messy!

We departed Zurich at 8am and arrived back 8:10PM.

It was a wonderful tour, a lifetime experience. Everything was on time. Guides were very helpful. Only suggestion is free water bottles may be provided. Travelers need to have good amount of water as they go very high. Also, 20-30 minutes sightseeing at the beautiful lake Interlaken may be added in addition to stop at Interlaken town.

Time for a short stroll in Interlaken before proceeding through Grindelwald to the base of the Alps and viewing the north face of Mt. Eiger. The views of the valley, the surrounding countryside, and Mt. Eiger during the cable ride to Eiderplatz were amazing. The cog rail ride to Jungfraujoch was mostly inside the mountain. The magnificent views from The Sphinx atop Jungfraujoch more than made up for the lack of views during the cog rail tide. The Ice Palace was very cool—figuratively and literally. We were treated to more sensational views of the mountains and valleys as we rode down the mountain to Lauterbrunnen to reboard our bus back to Zurich. Rebecca was knowledgeable about the sights along the way and the mountains. An experience not to be missed!

I visited Switzerland in November of this year. I had booked the Grindlewald and Interlaken tour with them.
My guide for the day was Lars. So this bus was actually going to Jungfrau, however you get around an hour's stay at Interlaken
following this they drop you at gridelwald, where you explore grindlewald on your own and catch a train back to Interlaken
where you wait for your bus while the rest of the group leave for Jungfrau. So the group is spit in two at grindelwald.
However, for me the tour was a partially guided tour as you get around an hour at Interlaken with your guide.
Now when we reached Interlaken our guide lars told us you have around 40 mins, please be here after 40 mins. However he
did not tell us where to go and what to do for 40 minutes. There was a girl and myself who asked lars what to do in this 40 minutes,
lars just told us you can walk by the lake and explore the town. However, as we got slightly lost we missed the bus and we had to take a train to Grindlewald.
Now the day before, I went on the mount titlus tour with Anette on the way to titlus we stopped at Lucerne where the guide told us let me take you to the bridge
so we just followed the guide, after this she told us the way to the church. Also, before this I went to the rein falls tour where Peter my guide
took us to stein um rhein, where he told us I am walking through the town and you can follow me. However, Lars did not do any such thing, so if people are
getting lost under his watch then he is not a good guide. lars I feel need some training. Lars ruined my holiday mood. We are not paying lars to just stand there.
We are paying lars to walk us through Interlaken.

Best-of-Switzerland
Dear Kushal, Thank you very much for joining our tour to Grindelwald & Interlaken and for sharing such an extensive account of your experience with us! As Interlaken is conveniently located along the journey, we offer our guests a break from the 2 ½-hour coach trip from Zurich already behind them. While there is no guided walking tour of Interlaken, the 40 minutes break gives our guests the chance to stretch their legs, enjoy a late breakfast, do some souvenir shopping, or go sightseeing before proceeding to Grindelwald. Unfortunately, we are confronted with delays daily, which is why all our tour guides are instructed to wait for a maximum of 5 minutes at each meeting point. On your travel date, we had 50+ guests that made it back to the bus in time and by holding the bus for longer, we would have risked missing the train we were scheduled for. All guests are provided with an emergency number on their voucher, so they can contact us in case they are running late. Unfortunately, we had only received your call a while after the bus had departed and we mutually agreed that you would buy a train ticket to and from Grindelwald. A partial refund was initiated the very same day through your travel agency GetYourGuide. According to the tour description on GetYourGuide, the tour is partly guided and accompanied from Zurich to Grindelwald and from Interlaken back to Zurich. For the individual stay in Grindelwald and the train ride back to Interlaken, a booklet is provided which contains comprehensive written information about the itinerary of the day, upgrade options, and recommendations of things to do. Compared to our fully guided tours, this tour is catered to more independent travelers that enjoy exploring new destinations with activities of their individual choice. We are sorry to hear that this incident has ruined your holiday, but we believe we have done the best we could to find a solution to help you make the most of your day. We hope that you will keep the other two days on tour with us in best memory and look forward to welcoming you back on tour during your next stay in Switzerland! Best regards, Your Best of Switzerland Tours Team

Extremely long day and areas were very crowded. Little continuity within particular tour group. Would have preferred to avoid the stop in Interlaken and stopped at Lauderbrunen or Grindelwald instead to see a real Swiss village with culture. Interlaken was definitely catered towards tourists and lacked the small village character that people would have preferred to experience. At $500+ for two people, one would have expected a little more structure and perks.

Dear danbR2867HR, Thank you very much for joining our tour to the Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe and for sharing your experience with us. After the 2 ½-hour journey from Zurich to the Bernese Oberland, we offer our guests a short break of approx. 45 minutes in Interlaken to stretch their legs, have a coffee break, or do some sightseeing. While we totally understand that you would have loved some time to explore Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen, extending the tour to more than 12 hours is not a feasible option. For guests that would like to have more time to explore the typical alpine villages of the Bernese Oberland, we highly recommend considering our 2-day tour: https://www.viator.com/tours/Zurich/2-Day-Jungfraujoch-Top-of-Europe-Tour-from-Zurich-Interlaken-or-Grindelwald/d577-3885OVERNIGHT_ZRH While the Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe can also be explored individually by train (return tickets from Zurich HB from CHF 338.20 per adult), many guests appreciate our tours as a convenient and cheaper way to reach the destination and value the information shared by the tour guide. We are sorry to hear that you felt that the experience was not worth the price you paid and hope that we can convince you of our excellent price-performance ratio during your next visit to Switzerland! It was a very long day with most of it spend on transit with 70+ other people. They had three busses instead of one so everywhere we went was crowded. The tour part was very limited. They basically said 15-20 fun facts while we were on the bus then dropped us of different places. The tour guides were kind and organized but the experience was subpar. I would recommend just taking a train on your own to a mountain near where you are staying.

Dear Emmy, Thank you very much for joining our partly-guided tour to Grindelwald and Interlaken, which is different from to the Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe tour that you have rated. As stated in the tour description, the tour is accompanied by a professional multilingual tour guide from Zurich to Grindelwald and from Interlaken back to Zurich in the evening. In between, our guests explore the two villages of Grindelwald and Interlaken individually with activities of their individual choice and a train ticket provided. Already at check-in, we provide our guests with an extensive booklet including timetables, train schedules, and recommendations of things to do. The Bernese Oberland is one of the most popular destinations in Switzerland and is always busy on weekends during the high season (June to mid-October). While it is certainly also possible to visit the villages individually by train (return tickets from Zurich HB from CHF 151.60), many guests appreciate our tour as a convenient way to reach the destination and appreciate the information provided by our tour guides. We are sorry to hear that the tour did not meet your expectations and hope to convince you of our high quality standards during your next visit to Switzerland! I want to start by saying I was extremely disappointed in this tour for one reason. They are misleading on the itinerary on trip advisor and other sites and that is not okay. I’m sure most of you rely heavily on the itinerary the companies leave to build your vacation. As much as my partner and I wanted to see the top of Europe we truly booked this tour because we saw it stopped in two cities. For us we were very excited to read that it stopped in Laterbrunnen for 60 minutes. While we DID stop there it was for literally 3 minutes and that was to board the bus.It did not let us tour. This tour is strictly for the top of Europe & a 6 hour bus commute.

This is the real itinerary. Not sure if it’s worth $570 a couple

Leave Zurich - large tour about 30+ peopel
1 hour ride on the double decker bus with no bathrooms to Lucerne
Other guests board the bus at Lucerne
Drive another 1 hour to grindlewald
Observe beautiful views on the bus
Don’t get off the bus still
Drop the other guests off
Drive to IN
Stop in IN for 40 minutes
Get back on the bus and drive a half hour to the gondala station and start going to the top of Europe
You have 10 mins there to grab a snack by this time it’s 1 pm and the whole morning was spent commuting
Take the gondola up (absolutely awesome views) then the cogwheel train (no views)
Get to hang at the top of Europe station for 1.5 hours exploring the views ice palace and get an expensive lunch. Can’t imagine the crowds going to this place during high peak season.
Leave top of Europe by cogwheel (no views)
Then hop on a local train that is nice with views to lauterbruuen. You get off can use the bathrooms and literally get on the bus back. We were told it’s a two hour drive with traffic. We hit no traffic but we had to drop eeeyine off again in Lucerne. We left lauterbruuen where you are not allowed to go anywhere else except onto the bus at 530 pm !! We returned in Zurich at 8 pm.

This tour would have been better if it only left from Zurich and included time in the two cities as it said. Interlakin for 40 minutes and lauterbruuen for 0 minutes is not ok.

Beware if you get car sick this is a bus tour and you’re easily sitting on the bus for 6 hours.

When we asked the guide why we couldn’t stay in lauterbruuen being we were there he said this tour does not include that despite me showing the itinerary that clearly states it did. He offered me to purchase another tour through the company for $200 for the next day to go back.

Not even a discount. Very disappointed and frustrated because I relied so heavily on this tour to experience the Bernese Oberland. You definitely do not experience it. You’ll only experience the top of europe station on top of Jungfraujoch.

Dear KACCJD, Thank you very much for joining our tour to the Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe and for sharing your experience with us. We are sorry to hear that our tour did not meet your expectations. To find out what went wrong, we have followed up on your report with your tour guide and would like to share our findings with you and other travelers. As Lucerne is conveniently located along the route from Zurich to Interlaken, we include a short stop of max. 10 minutes in Lucerne to pick up additional guests. After a total drive of 2.5 hours, we reach Interlaken, where our guests have 45-60 minutes (depending on traffic conditions) to stretch their legs, to have a coffee break or to do some sightseeing. Back on the bus, it takes another 30 minutes to reach Grindelwald Terminal, where you changed to the cable car and cogwheel train to the summit. With up to 5'000 visitors per day, the Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe is one of the most popular destinations for tourists visiting Switzerland. To make the journey as smooth as possible, we offer our groups priority boarding and reserved seats on the cable car and cogwheel train, but it is very common for both our buses and the cogwheel train to fill up to the very last seat during the high season (June to mid-October). While our guests enjoy beautiful views over the Lauterbrunnen valley from the train, the stop at the train station only serves to change from the train station back to the bus. We have already informed Viator about the error in the description and it has been updated accordingly. As much as your tour guide would have liked to offer you more time in Lauterbrunnen, he was bound to our schedule and had to return everyone to Lucerne and Zurich in time. While the Bernese Oberland and the Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe can also be explored individually by train (return tickets from Zurich HB from CHF 338.20 per adult), many guests appreciate our tours as a convenient and cheaper way to reach the destination and appreciate the information shared by the tour guide. We sincerely regret that the error in the tour description has spoiled your experience and hope that you can accommodate Lauterbrunnen in your itinerary during your next visit to Switzerland! The guide was very knowledgable and gregarious. However, the guide should be mindful and considerate of all guests' time. When we scheduled the day trip we were told on several ocasions that the bus would return to Zurich by 8 PM
Unfortunately, additional guest pickup in Lucern were late and returning to Lucerne took more time than needed to allow restroom stop and give directions for trains to departing guest. You have to be aware of other guest time constraints who are required COVID testing before returning to the USA. The testing center is located in the main bus parking lot and closes by 9 PM. I explained my concerns to Predo, the guide, and his assistant, Monica. My wife was waiting for me and was concerned that she had missed me or perhaps was in the wrong place. Please by thoughtful and considerate to all of the guest because without patrons you would not have a tour business.

Met the bus in Zurich – then to Luzern (to pick up a few people) and on to Grindelwald where we took a gondola to Eiger Gletscher. From there we took a cogwheel train to Eismeer and then onto Jungfraujoch (Top of the World - highest train station in Europe). We were at the top for a couple of hours… so amazing. Then we took the train to Kleine Scheidegg and changed to the Lauterbrunnen train. We met the bus there and headed back to Zurich. So many picture-postcard memories!

It was indeed a grand experience going to the Top of Europe and I was amazed at the Ice Palace. Some friends of mine have already put it in their bucket lists after I posted it in social media. The drive from Zurich to the top was awesome with beautiful scenery. Catarina was an amazing tour guide. We stopped by Interlaken for an hour and explored the area. I highly recommend this tour. I will definitely come back here with my family so they can experience what I had experienced and would probably add the paragliding activity at Interlaken.
