    What to Expect
Depart from a centrally located pickup point in Interlaken and climb aboard a comfortable, climate-controlled coach destined for Grindelwald. Relax as you admire beautiful panoramas of Swiss countryside and listen to illuminating commentary from your guide.

On arrival in Grindelwald, board a cogwheel train and feel your excitement heighten as you ascend the Swiss Alps; marvel at the frozen witchery of the Eiger, Jungfrau, and Mönch peaks along the way and then disembark at Europe’s highest railway station.

Gasp as you take in sweeping vistas of the icy landscape. From the Sphinx Observation Terrace, scour the horizon for the Aletsch Glacier, the longest glacier in Europe, and see if you can spot neighboring countries like France and Germany.

Heighten your exhilaration on a guided wander through the Ice Palace, a magical cave located within a glacier, and then return to the cogwheel train for the scenic descent to Grindelwald. Travel to your awaiting coach in Lauterbrunnen and reflect on your incredible day during the journey back to Interlaken.

Not a bad experience but afterwards not sure it would not have been better to do on our own. The large group thing along with the many other big groups made it very hard to maneuver the process. We got very tired of being pushed...More

Exciting trip on the cog rail, climbing steeply to the wonderful venue. Stopping to look out through the windows in the side of the mountain, is a highlight of the trip.

Let's start with the fact that 3 different tours have been combined in one bus. Which meant that half of the morning the guide spent on upselling and keep talking about logistics for different groups. When he had time to actually say something about Switzerland...More

Good points: Awesome train ride with picturesque sites along the way. Bad points: The ticket I booked was from Trip Advisor, apparently liaising with something called Best of Switzerland tours. From their poky office in Interlaken, only superficially helpful shop attendant and a lackadaisical guide,...More

My daughter and I went in mid September. We had a beautiful day - it was in the 40’s (Fahrenheit) at the top. We wore ski leggings and lightweight ski coats. We wore lighting dayhikers on our feet. We also brought hats and... More
