Our guide Gaida was brilliant and was very knowledgeable and friendly. Everything was very well organised and trip was stunnning.Written October 10, 2024
- Akmal_Rashad0 contributionsThe best dayWe really enjoyed all the rides and the coolness outside was superb. We really enjoyed the zipline which was very high where we needed to climb a ladder to get on the zip line and we could feel the coolness when we were on it. The ride from the bus to jaunfrajouch was very comfortable but the journey was long. We passed by many beautiful sceneries which were eye catching and can be called the best views.Written October 9, 2024
- Shona J0 contributionsGood day trip from ZurichGreat trip from Zurich, not too long on the coach. The stop in Lucerne was a little underwhelming as everything apart from church’s & cafes were closed on a Sunday. Mount Pilatus is stunning and the boat trip was an perfect ending as we could sit relax and have a beer..Written October 8, 2024
- Tina F0 contributionsMake the day enjoyable, it's a beautiful location.Wonderful time enjoying a leisurely day in Lucern. We saw comments regarding the length of the stay at the location, we took full advantage of the time. When we first arrived we sat and enjoy coffee at a cut cafe by the lake. We walked around exploring without feeling rushed. We had a magnificent meal for lunch at Wolf Burger & Steak Bar. Explored some more. Sat and ate some amazing gelato at Amorino. Our tour guide was wonderful and gave information of soundings while traveling. The day is what you make it.Written October 7, 2024

Good way to spend a sunday as everything in Zurich is closed. Roads not busy. - 962les0 contributionsDefinitely worth the time. The city tour was quite good and a little Old Town walking tour. The cruise was nice and Lindt was the highlight. So much great chocolate. They do mention that you take public transit back from Lindt. This very easy and they give you a 24 hour pass.Written October 6, 2024

It has multiple levels with multiple viewing spots for plenty of great views and pictures. I would highly recommend setting aside an afternoon to visit. Plus, after you've had a picturesque stroll through the levels, you can stop for a cold beverage before you go!Written October 5, 2024

- 560tracyl0 contributionsCool Tour! What a great way to experience Lucerne and Mt. Pilatus! Taking the gondola and then cable car up to the summit was such a fun way to experience the journey up to Mt. Pilatus. We had plenty of time to explore the top (saw someone playing an Alphorn!) and then took the amazing cogwheel tram down to Lake Lucerne. We finished with avery relaxing and scenic boat cruise back into the city. Well worth the money in my opinion. Judith did a great job explaining where we were and interesting facts about the various modes of transportation. Thumbs up!Written October 3, 2024

Best of Switzerland was so professional keeping us informed of the change and what our options were, cancelling the trip, a partial refund, or to reschedule. I observed our your guide helping everyone with any concerns or questions we all had. He was kind, patient, and knowledgeable!!! We do not have control over weather issues and they did a phenomenal job making any necessary changes to keep everyone informed and updated as we went along! We appreciated it!!! FYI I chose a partial tour and recd my refund within 2 days!Written October 3, 2024
- exploredaunexplored0 contributionsMust do!A day well spent. You have to meet at the city tours office at Shilquai. There's a tram stop for shilquai. Once you show your voucher you can join the tour. It starts at 1.15pm I reached by 12.45 to get good seats. Rhine Falls and stein am rhein are must do things when in Zurich. There's a 10 chf charge for the boat ride. Should do it. It's awesome. Our guide Monica and driver gorge were fantastic. She gave useful information and is very well spoken.Written October 2, 2024

Travellers are asked to come 15mins before the 10.45 departure. Guide arrived 10.50 (as she had to come from Zurich). Driver couldn’t find the place and bus arrived 11.15. And so the connecting cable car and train all ran delayed by 30 mins. A request to the guide to delay our 3.30 return from the peak top was rudely denied. There are numerous sights to experience at the top, and we were forced to skip some. On the way back, the whole group was made to sit in a train coach for 30 mins before it started moving. The guide complained about her long day but forgot all her guests had travelled 15-25 hours not to be shuttled like cattle. Completely mismanaged. Disregard for customers time. Zero empathy. Total lack of respect of our time. Yes the views are spectacular but visitor discontent will build with such mistreatment.

Dear Sundeep,
Thank you very much for joining our tour to the Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe and for sharing your experience with us!
We are truly sorry to hear that the tour did not meet your expectations and have followed up your feedback with your tour guide to avoid similar incidents in the future.
The bus departs from Zurich at 08:00 and is scheduled to arrive in Interlaken at 10:15 (depending on traffic conditions). The tachograph of the bus shows that the group arrived on time and your tour guide confirmed that she started check-in by 10:30. Due to a misunderstanding with the driver, the departure was delayed by 30 minutes, which you would otherwise have been given at the Grindelwald Terminal station. While we fully understand that the delay caused you some inconvenience, we would like to highlight that the group has reached the reserved cable car and cogwheel train well in time. Your stay on the summit was in no way shortened and the promised 2 hours were guaranteed. Given that you travelled with a group of 40 guests on a weekend during peak season, we also ask you to understand that rebooking our group to a later train for the descent was off limits. Your tour guide tried her very best to resolve the situation as quickly as possible and we very much regret that her efforts were not appreciated.
We hope that you enjoyed your other tours with us to Pilatus, Titlis and Rhine Falls & Stein am Rhein and that you will keep your visit to Switzerland in fond memory.
Best regards,
Amanda from Best of Switzerland Tours

We did this tour on our way to Zurich from Montreux. Highly recommend. It is pricey but worth the view and the entire setup at the top from the ice castle to the restaurant. Not something we will ever see again. We were able to store our luggage at the train station in Interlacken (fyi-can do this at all rail stations in Switzerland) .
Just a warning, you can get altitude sickness. We went up to over 11,000 ft quickly after the Eiger Express gondola. Hubby had a hard time but still agreed well worth it.

Went all out on the visit to Jungfraujoch. The observatory very high and the outside walk gets crowded to see the kdrama and bollywood film areas. Did the snow park sports which were fabulous - not as many queues as expected around 11am. Sledging was fun but the tubing only a one off - superbly fast and surprised no one gets thrown off. Food services ok inside but be prepared to pay the astronomical prices although the Lindt shop was worth it. High on the mountain no need to wrap up as sun is shining right on you. Tried to walk across on the path but got exhausted after 15mins uphill. All in all fabulous 4-5 hour day out.

We visited Interlaken, Switzerland with a day trip to Jungfraujoch with the Best of Switzerland tours.
This trip coincided with our twins Golden birthday and was a hassle free, no rush visit to Jungfraujoch. The tours conveniently started from Hohoweg 95 street and offered a comfortable bus ride to Grindelwald and had tickets and seat reservations ready on the Eiger Express and the cogwheel train and the return trains from Jungfraujoch to Lauterbrunnen.
Our guides were very friendly and gave us just the right amount of information and described the sights while answering questions from our group.
Overall a very pleasant experience, especially for those looking to travel without having to take care of every itty bitty detail!

Visiting the Jungfraujoch was very enjoyable and interesting. We could have easily gone on our own. We did not find the tour to add much of anything special.
In fact, we were directed to meet outside of the "Outdoor Interlaken Shop" 15 minutes prior to departure. We were there more than 30 minutes early.
Once our departure time passed, we along with 10 other people who were all signed up for the same tour, discovered we'd been left behind! The guide had left for the bus with 12 of us separated. "Elizabeth", the guide, was contacted and we eventually connected but it caused frustration both for all left behind and also for those who had to wait on us. (Those with Elizabeth had met at a store next door, not at the stated point to meet. ) I don't know how she didn't see the group of us standing around. We all assumed the other group was a different tour group.
Additionally this caused us to leave 45 minutes late and miss the first cogwheel train.
Book this directly... no tour group needed!

Dear D J,
Thank you very much for taking the time to write this feedback about your recent tour to Jungfraujoch-Top of Europe from Interlaken.
We sincerely regret to hear that you felt left behind during our tour. For ecological as well as economical reasons, the merging of groups allows us to offer not only tours from Zurich, but also from smaller destinations with lower guest numbers such as Interlaken, conveniently located along the way.
On the day of your tour, we had several buses going to the same destination. To streamline the process and accommodate diverse language requirements, two of these buses were designated to pick up guests in Interlaken. All our guests are required to be at the meeting point at 10:30. Should any guests be found missing when our guides arrive, they will accompany the present guests to the bus. Following this, the guides then make their way back to the meeting point to collect any remaining guests, which is what happened in your case.
According to our records, the tour proceeded smoothly without any delays, and the entire group successfully boarded the regular train connection as scheduled.
We hope that the fascinating experience of ascending and descending from the highest train station in Europe left you with lasting memories of Switzerland.
Best regards,
Ambika from Best of Switzerland Tours

About 40 people on a bus to the Gondola then transfer to the train which travels to the top in a tunnel. The final leg is an elevator to the observatory over 11,000 feet. Hydrate well with water and dress warm in winter. Has well guided tour including outside on a glacier. We had perfect day with no clouds but could be disappointed if weather snowy or cloudy. Could have been a little shorter than 7 hours as we didn’t want to eat in one of their restaurants

Our experience was very positive, we got picked up from the meeting point at Interlaken and the tour guide Annette made sure everyone is counted between all bus, train and cable car ride. The view from the top is breathtaking. They also provided a parting gift of Jungfraujoch fridge magnet to all passengers, a small bit well thought finishing touch. I will recommend this tour company wholeheartedly,

Jungfrau top of Europe is a must place to visit where you will extreme weather to experience including snow all year around. We took cable car onto mountain train to get there. We spent the whole day as had lot to do, be prepared with warm clothes as was -8C in October, the view of the glacier was memorable. We stayed in Grindlewald and started our journey there, expensive but worth the experience.

Hi, we are planning to visit in mid August but we are Inter-railing, so we’ll be travelling light. How cold will it be at the top in mid Aug. Will we need heavy or light jackets. If so, is there any place in Interlaken or Grindelwald where we can hire clothing such as jackets and trousers. Thank you
Written July 31, 2023
You should be fine with a light jacket. It was about 20° F at the top in late May, so I’m assuming it will be even warmer in August. I don’t know of any place to rent outerwear, but of course buying is always an option if the weather turns unpredictably colder. Enjoy your trip!

My daughter and I went in mid September. We had a beautiful day - it was in the 40’s (Fahrenheit) at the top. We wore ski leggings and lightweight ski coats. We wore lighting dayhikers on our feet. We also brought hats and gloves which we wore when we were sledding. That was all we needed.
