About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Badtazman710 contributionsStay away from City of Lake GenevaMy wife and I were traveling to Wisconsin to try fresh cheese curds from Wisconsin. I used google to research several places and found a local place called Hill Valley Cheese bar. We had parked and paid for parking as it was posted correctly. Then was referred to Flat Iron Tap which we traveled to and after missing the entrance off the street, we were detoured to a back street through an alley to the side parking lot of restaurant. While the parking on the Main Street had parking fees, the parking spots adjacent to the restaurant didn’t. When we returned to the car we found a parking violation. The signage that was blocked by other vehicles on the Main Street were hidden at the time of arrival. I followed up with the dispute department as noted on the violation and was told it was valid and then was advised there was signage on street but never produced signage where I was parked. The local city offices are highly in unprofessional and I would highly recommend traveling to an alternate area for local restaurants and accommodations based on their business practicesWritten September 17, 2024
- 508giannisf0 contributionsA Disappointing Lack of Attention from the GuideMy partner and I booked this trip, and while most of the day went smoothly, there was one unfortunate incident that left a bitter note on the experience. Right before boarding the train to visit the glacier, one of us realized we had lost our ticket. We informed the guide, and although we had already paid for it, we had to purchase a new one. This was understandable, as it was our fault. The problem came after that. The guide pointed us in the direction of the ticket counter, but after that, we were completely forgotten. We rejoined the end of the queue with our new ticket, but the train was full, and the group left without us. We missed the glacier visit because we didn’t feel confident enough to take the next train on our own, worried that no one would notice/care if we didn’t make it back in time for the last tour bus. The guide never checked on us, either before or after the train ride, and when we saw him later, he didn’t even seem to remember us. While this didn’t ruin the overall trip, it certainly left us feeling overlooked and less secure than we had expected. I feel that we would have been better off booking and planning everything on our own.Written September 16, 2024
- sagtzik0 contributionsGreat experienceWas a breathtaking experience, our tour guide was Chris and was on spot with everything. You just need to check the weather before so you won't miss all the beautifull views.Written September 15, 2024
- bronniejames0 contributionsLots of fun, we had a great time!We had the best time on this tour! Dine was our guide, and he was so happy and helpful and lovely! Make sure you do the Gold option with the fondue lunch and train though, otherwise you get stuck on the bus for a longer time. Was so worth it!Written September 15, 2024
- roseanna4610 contributionsVisit Annecy, France - when in Geneva, SwitzerlandWe had an excellent trip to Geneva, Switzerland. We were staying in Paris, France and decided to take a long weekend trip to Switzerland. We took the TGV Lyria train from Paris to Geneva. It was a beautiful ride. We then took a tour to Annecy (France). It is a beautiful little classical town with waterways and beautiful mountain views. They call it “The Venice of the Alps). It was 1.0 hours from Geneva (so you will travel back into France). They have markets in the street on Sundays. I purchased a few souvenirs to take back to the USA. The tour was called “Morning in Annecy” I highly recommend this trip if you are thinking of visited Paris. The countries are very close together. You will enjoy this little quaint town. All tour guys speak several languages.Written September 14, 2024
- pam9890 contributionsNOT SO GOOD EXPERIENCE!I booked my very good client on this tour on August 10 out of Geneva. It cost her more than $800 for the client and her son. As I always contact my clients when they return from a trip....here is what she told me about this tour. Not good Keytours, SA "The day trip to hang glide had lots of issues. the actual activity was great and so much fun. We could have easily taken the train there for 1/4 of the $ and much less time. The driver was having us wait in a small town for hours while shuttling people to all different places. We didn’t have time to do specific things bc he told us to be back to leave but then had us wait another hour which was too late to go back and do what we wanted. We were not the only people angry. You should complain."Written September 10, 2024
- W4124NYjoem0 contributionsThank you G BAfter another central cafe we were terrified lo boy this place redeems!! Scummy food cooked traditionally with goo ingredients- they let you flex. Plus price is awesome. Zero negativesWritten September 10, 2024
- OnAir5647010 contributionsBus ride to chocolate and cheese factoryThis is a 75 minute bus ride to chocolate factory and then 20 minute ride to cheese factory. Both places are interesting and worthwhile. We went on Sunday and did not go to city of Appenzell as the shops and businesses are closed on Sunday. I Recommend the experience but NOT on Sunday.Written September 8, 2024
- 896leea0 contributionsChris was a fantastic guide! We had a delightful time on this tour. Chris, our guide, was really helpful and courteous. He was friendly and accommodating and did everything to make our tour a pleasant one. He also gave excellent suggestions and directions to places. We had near perfect weather for views on Mont Blanc. There were a lot of moving parts to this tour (catching two cable cars on Mont Blanc and a train to the Mer de Glace), but Chris took care of everything, making sure we all had the right tickets and knew where to go and where to meet back up. He was fantastic.Written September 8, 2024

- polyp8640 contributionsTouch the God!The place is magical – it feels like you're touching the sky 😅! The tour was very well organized. The only thing that made me hesitate to give the highest rating was the large number of people in the group, which somewhat "dampened" the experience.Written September 7, 2024
- Seaside320662332820 contributionsWe Loved This Cheese & Chocolate! We chose this trip experience primarily because we wanted to spend only one day venturing outside of Lausanne and because of the authenticity of the cheese and chocolate features. We were impressed with all of the features of the trip, knowing that we were there for the educational experience within the factories, to enjoy the beautiful views, the tastings, and to see the medieval village. The trip was EXACTLY as described and we enjoyed every bit of it. We toured on a Sunday. They arranged for an extremely convenient pickup point right outside of a Metro station in Lausanne (which we were already very familiar with from our weeks' outings). The driver was very kind, informative, and sought to assist us all throughout the day. He was very clear on each place we visited...what to expect, our timeframe, his recommended viewing areas, etc. The Callier chocolate factory has an entertaining and informational audio tour with a smaller replica of the machines and process used in the chocolate making operation. The tasting room was plentiful and you could taste whatever and however much you wished! At the end of the tour, was a giftshop where we purchased chocolates to take home in a cooler bag. We then ventured further into Gruyere to the cheese making facility where we had a tour of the cheese making process, with lunch in the restaurant. Others on our tour bus (a group originating from Geneva) had purchased packages from a different travel vendor, which included a fondue lunch at the cheese factory and Golden train trip back down the mountain to Montreux (this TripAdvisor package DOES NOT include that, which we knew), but our driver was able to upgrade to add our lunch and panoramic train ride....which was excellent because we were then able to eat with the people in our bus group and the meal was already pre-arranged for them and ready to go (i.e. no finding lunch on our own in the village, which we liked due to timeframe). We then ventured into the village and toured the buildings, the church, and walked up to the castle. We were advised that we would not have time to tour the castle, as we had to make our train departure time...which again, was fine, because we knew this already and had not really planned to see the inside of the castle. We were very content with the fabulous views, the idyllic village, and the many opportunities for photos, and strolling. We met back at the bus and the driver put us on the train to head back towards Lausanne. He picked us up from the train station, attended to guests' requests for toileting needs, and we were on our way back to Lausanne/Geneva. In all, our driver was attentive to us, always checking for headcount, making sure we were all accounted for, we followed his instructions precisely and all went well. The factories were very educational, food was delicious, and the views spectacular. If you want a stress-free excursion, where you don't have to plan, arrange, drive, or orchestrate anything, this is your trip. We got on the bus, enjoyed, and were dropped right back where we started, happy as can be! If you like to control your own traveling experience, are picky, grumpy, or are a negative-nelly who doesn't enjoy history and scenery, well, I don't know what to tell you...we absolutely loved it!Written September 4, 2024
- vixy88910 contributionsWonderful waterfalls and yummy cheese and chocolateThe views at Rhein falls were amazing. Thanasis was a great driver and guide, he took us all down to the falls and explained where we needed to be, showed us the walking route back and the boat options, he even took lots of pictures for us. We also went to Appenfallen for the chocolate and the cheese tours and they were a lot of fun. Thanasis told us some facts about Switzerland on the journey and recommended his favourite cheeses. Both tours were self guided with interactive elements and we had cheese and lots of chocolate to try on the way round. Would definitely recommend this day trip.Written September 4, 2024
- Excursion268679127610 contributionsGorgeous place to visit! What a charming & quaint town! They were having an open market the day we went which added to the fun. Beautiful buildings & gorgeous views! They call it the ‘Venice of Switzerland’ but I don’t see any relation - they are both beautiful in their own ways.Written September 3, 2024
- davidpS4547FS0 contributionsDon’t recommend this company…Went on this tour and booked the gold trip which was the 2 trips included. The first tour was really busy and was given a ticket on leaving the cable car going up with a number on it as to when you can get the cable car back down. So we couldn’t leave this trip any earlier so we had to wait our turn as to when we could leave. So, this meant that we didn’t get out in enough time to get to do the second trip. So as we spent nearly £400 and wasn’t happy about this so we contacted the company and told them that it was impossible to do both trips in the time limit that they give you and they had refused to give us a partial refund and stated that it wasn’t their issue. I understand that more people have experienced the same issue before and that they know about it if you read past reviews yet they are still selling this trip knowing that if it’s busy it can’t be done in the time limit. So they are mis- selling trips knowing that they can’t be done and so I wouldn’t recommend booking with this company if you want to do both trips in one day. I’m very disappointed with this company not taking the responsibility for their mis-selling trips that’s impossible to do and it’s wrong as people are paying a lot of money and not getting what they have paid for. So if you are looking to do both day trips in one day I would book with another company, one who takes responsibility for what they are selling.Written September 3, 2024

The place is amazing, however, it would have been much better if the guide had explained more about trip, he left us without showing us where to go after taking the Ski tools !

Made a great ski day out of the worst conditions. When we got there we were informed that the mountain we paid for was close due to avalanche precautions, however, Norman recommended a mountain 15 minutes away. He drove our group there and waited for us to finish. Cannot recommend this enough, a ton of fun. Ask for Norman!

I've booked this tour for 2 adults and 1 14yr old but have just seen max 2 people? Does this mean we all can't go together please?
