Train ride in historic cars through the mountains and villages was a highlight.
Portion related to cheese and the village of Gruyere were great. The cheese demonstration location was very educational; I won't forget how much grass and milk it takes to make cheese. The presentations were a bit hokey but over all well worth the time. The castle and village stop was my favorite part of the tour. The castle covers a very important family is Swiss history and their impressive home. Part of the efforts to save anr restore the castle has led to a very interesting display of modern art. This was the lunch stop and there was enough time for eating at one of the good restaurants (we chose The Chalet).
Bus to chocolate venue was scenic and a plus of the trip. Chocolate stop was interesting as it relates to the history and technology of chocolate in Switzerland.

We had a great day on this tour! Mostly because of our Guide-Hextor & driver-Joseph! They were both awesome!
Hector explained things, gave us info we needed & told about Geneva & things we were seeing along the way. Everything was well planned out, they stayed with us so when we had questions they were right there!
Both factories were wonderful! & the lunch was delicious!
The tour was everything we expected & more!
Hector was a great guide & wish we had had him on other tours!
Guess we will book from Key Tours from now on.
Hectoe even helped us after tge tour with our next tour for the next day- NO comparison!
Thanks Hector & Joseph for a great day!

So disappointing. The time to get there from Geneva was lengthened as a detour to Lausanne was needed to pick up two more passengers. The chocolate factory was disappointing because there were no processes available other than a machine production line. Tasting was disappointing as the chocolate was FAR too sweet and clawy. La Maison du Gruyère was extremely disappointing as there was not a single element of processing taking place. We saw a film instead. There was NO BOTTLED WATER on board the coach. The driver was friendly but was certainly NOT A GUIDE. There was no time to see the castle or take the golden pass train as we had to deliver the two extra passengers back to Lausanne. It was NIT WORTH THE MONEY. Far better to have seen the countryside a different way and read about the chocolates and cheese.

Good morning, thank you for your review. We do stop in Lausanne as it's on the way. We are sorry you didn't enjoy the chocolate factory as it's the highlight of the tour. In fact, there is no chocolate factory you can see the handkmaking because of sanitary issue. And morever it's all by machine, but they show from the cocoa beans, to the melted chocolate to tha packaging process which is quite complete. The chocolate is one of the best of Switerland and you can try at least 7 kinfs of chocolate so we feel very sorry you cannot like any of them. You did not book the train option and it's not available in winter. and you had 2 hours free time in the village which is enough to visit the castle. We are very sorry you didn't like the tour as it's the best seller it's very complicated not to enjoy it. Best regards

My partner and I landed in Geneva after a long and arduous journey from Australia. During the last leg our plane couldn’t land in Geneva airport due to strong winds and it took a detour to Lyon airport and another bus trip to get back to Geneva. So I thought, I just want to do something relaxing for the next day.
Our tour guide Evan was funny and knowledgeable. The time in the mini bus was about an hour and 40 minutes from Geneva bus stop to the chocolate factory, then a short ride to Gruyere village and the cheese factory.
We ended up eating inside the Gruyere cheese factory as Evan recommended and had the fondue (if you have two people, fondue for one is enough as the waitress recommended).
The cheese and chocolates are Devine. I’m not a big chocolate person and prefer dark chocolates usually but the original milk chocolate at Callier was so amazing I bought 14 bars in a box for family and friends. Really enjoyed this tour.
Also, there is an HR Giger museum at Gruyere Village for 12 CHK pp entrance fee. It’s HUGE. If you are an alien movie fan, the museum is to die for.

Our tour guide was very funny and interesting to listen to. This was my best experience in Switzerland; absolutely loved the trip and sites. Gorgeous. The cheese and chocolate were very yummy as well. Definitely worth it.

Very nice tour of the countryside. The chocolate factory was outstanding (the prices are cheaper in the supermarkets in Geneva) - the cheese factory was disappointing. Just to see the Swiss countryside was worth the price of the tour and the castle was a a photo op that will be remembered.

Good morning,
Thank you for your lovely feedback. We are glad you like the countryside of Gruyeres region. It's how you can really image the swiss countryside with the green fields and the cows. We are sorry about the cheese factory, it's still a AOC cheese company which is very popular to visit here.
We hope you to enjoy your holiday in Switzerland and wish a very good travel

Hi, if there’s a problem with finding a tour in winter, there are excellent LOCAL GUIDES who will do fantastic tours. I found a great local guide in Montreux Switzerland!!!

Can you please share the exact pickup point? We are trying to book our hotel near the pickup but trip description just says Geneva.
Thanks!
Will this tour go to Cheese factory? or will we have free time to visit?
Is there a minimum person request to make this tour? Will this tour be canceled if there's not enough person?
