Learn about the traditional cooking of Umbria with this half-day class. Led by an English-speaking teacher, the class includes cooking a five-course meal from scratch. After the lesson, feast on what you prepared alongside the estate’s red wine. A recipe book is included for replicating the dishes at home.
Our cooking classes allow you to immerse yourself in the lifestyle and culture of Umbria and learn to cook authentic Italian recipes in an informal and friendly environment.
Our cooking classes begin at 9.30 a.m., are generally about 3 to 4 hours long and include the preparation of a multi-course meal, which you enjoy with our wine at the end of the lesson. Our cooking classes are totally hands-on. The English speaking teacher will teach you traditional Italian techniques of cooking and the history of each recipes!
In the farmhouse there is a luxuriant organic vegetable garden where we grow the vegetables used in our classes. The eggs are produced daily from our hens. The other products are purchased in local markets.
We can arrange menus for vegetarians and people with food intolerance.
Our guests get to prepare from scratch a complete meal consisting of 5 courses: appetizer, first course, main course with side dish and dessert. After the lesson people will reap the fruit of their labor by enjoying the delicacies they created complemented by the estate’s own red wine and extra virgin olive oil.
At the end of each lesson, participants will receive copies of the recipes, a “Let’s cook in Umbria” apron to take home as a souvenir and a cooking diploma.
It is also possible to bring along a non-participating friends who can spend the day enjoying the surroundings and then join the group at dinnertime as well as joining in the excursions.
