- arjaps0 contributionsTastingVery pleasant and informative visit. Excellent vines! Beautiful story of family business and organic values.Written February 23, 2025
- merrimen30 contributionsTruffle hunting and lunchWe did a truffle hunting experience, wine tour, tasting and a truffle lunch. The family and our guide were wonderful hosts. It was fun to see dodo the truffle dog go thru the woods and find little white truffles. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a unique Italian experience in a beautiful Umbrian winery.Written February 19, 2025
- David G0 contributionsMomma’s lunch.A group trip for a terrific lunch and tasting. Momma’s lasagna, followed by meatballs and rustic potatoes. Topped off with tiramisu. Felt like a family celebration!Written January 21, 2025
- kaylacL8182GU0 contributionsAmazing experience!100% our favorite stop on our trip from Florence through Umbria to Rome. The family was incredibly welcoming. The address on Apple Maps and the website is the families home and wine processing location. Tasting location is down the road to the left of the family home. We got confused but the family was able to guide us to the tasting location. Cannot recommend this enough!Written November 16, 2024
- I8167YYjanel0 contributionsEnjoyed the friendly and welcoming staff and of course all the wine choices! What enjoyable time we had. They were very friendly, welcoming and knowledgable of the questions we asked about. Great choices of wines and explained the production process of each wine we tried. Would recommend this visit!Written November 11, 2024
- chaspwells0 contributionsBeautiful Fall Wine Tasting DayBeautiful little winery with a special location. Julia was warm and gracious. She made us comfortable and she is most knowledgeable about wine and olio. A beautiful fall day. Food was delicious and plentiful. Wine was terrific. Would do it again.Written November 3, 2024
- patriciacP7179GT0 contributionsUnforgetable Culinary ExperienceImagine being welcomed in to your best friend’s (and professional chef’s) home to prepare a meal together, and then savor the results. That’s how our cooking class with Maria played out last week. We prepared tiramisu, miniature lasagna, chicken rolled with cheese and bacon, and the most superb eggplant parmesan (without breadcrumbs). Although the result was beyond delicious, the experience of chatting with Maria as she demonstrated the culinary art of making fresh pasta, or turning pounded chicken breasts into a savory masterpiece, was delightful. It doesn’t matter whether you’re a seasoned cook yourself or not; this is an experience anyone who loves to eat will enjoy. Thank you Maria and your team for sharing this time and your art with us.Written November 3, 2024

- Kimberly B0 contributionsOrganic wine and olive oil so good that you can tase the nurturingWe had a wonderful day despite the rain. Maria, the owner, and her daughter. gave us a new understanding of organic winemaking and many varietals that we have not tried before. Our favorite was the Sagrantino We also got to taste olive oil that was pressed that morning,. and Maria explained the process, how to taste it and the flavors we would experience. It was all so good that we can’t wait to experience it at home when our case arrives :)Written October 20, 2024
- Adventure053966285020 contributionsAmazing hospitality and view- even in the rain! They were amazing hosts. They had an igloo type seating area set up so we could still be outside and enjoy the beautiful view. Appetizers were delicious and the wine was fantastic- bringing wine, olive oil and balsamic vinegar home with us! Highly recommend!Written October 19, 2024

- WCOttav0 contributionsHarvesting joy: a memorable day wine tasting in UmbriaOur visit to Tili was an exceptional experience and I say that as someone who frequently goes wine tasting, mostly in California, but also in France and Italy. We tasted 7 wines and had delicious pairings of Umbrian appetizers alongside. It sounds trite to say we felt like family, but we were treated so warmly and we felt so comfortable sitting outside admiring the vineyards and view to Assisi and Perugia. The wines were outstanding-and we have a deeper understanding of the varietals and the history behind them. It made for such a lovely memory and I hope to return someday.Written October 9, 2024

The selections were a little different from we were used to but all very pleasing on the palate. We can't wait for our case of wine to arrive so that we can relive the beautiful afternoon. This was one of our favorite activities during our trip to Italy- from the moment Giulia picked us up, we were treated like family. She gave a great tour of the wine-making facilities, then brought us to the tasting room with the most STUNNING views. The wine and food pairings were excellent and both Giulia and Maria were so welcoming and friendly. We had a fantastic experience & highly recommend this to anyone in the area!

This artisan business is run by a dedicated family. Pickup in Assisi was smooth, our guide Anna was friendly and informative. We drove through their vineyards and olive groves, toured the wine production facility, saw processing equipment, tanks and aging casks. We learned about the special steps required to ensure the flavor and quality of the organic wines. We tasted a nice variety of whites and reds, accompanied by bruschetta, sausage, prosciutto, cheese and biscotti. Although they own and harvest olives, we didn’t learn as much about the olive oil or the balsamic. However, the balsamic is deliciozo! We had some of each shipped home. Their tasting area is tastefully designed, and it takes full advantage of the beautiful vistas surrounding Assisi. Thank you for allowing our visit during the hectic harvest season!

Wonderful Tour. Our guide, Giulia, was knowledgeable , warm and a great host for showing us around and explaining various aspects of wine making and olive oil production at this winery. Afterward we had a very fine tasting of wines from the vineyard paired w/ delicious buschetta. The whole event exceeded our expectations.

Wonderful tour, delicious food, and GREAT wine - spent $500 to have it sent to the U.S. Ouch! As we had our younger sons with us, we opted for the farm tour, with emphasis on balsamic vinegar and an overview of the wine-making process. Our tasting following the tour did include 4 wines, but we really wanted to focus upon the olive oil and balsamic. SO delicious! We enjoyed learning about the family traditions and how organic wine is made differently than mass produced wine. We felt like family and would have stayed longer if time allowed (the tour ended)! The winery arranged a car for us to/from town, for a small fee, as we had traveled to Assisi via train. (Very accommodating and flexible with the transportation). Highly recommend.

This wine / olive oil tasting was very fun and informative. The owners took time to explain to us how extra-virgin olive oil is made, and even what that name means. They also talked to us about growing grapes and making wine in central Italy, which was fascinating.
They were generous with the wines we tasted and every one of them was delicious!
They also provided a fun variety of bruschetta and charcuterie, which was a treat in itself and complemented the oil, balsamic vinegar, and wine we tried.
My wife and I talked about which wine we liked best, and it was hard to decide because they were all so good!

We had a really great time. Giulia picked us up from the rendezvous just metres from our Airbnb apartment and was a charming and knowledgeable guide to the superb wines, and balsamic that we tasted. The bruschette and tozzetti were delicious too. The view from the terrace was spectacular. We then moved to the winery and Giulia explained the whole organic process and answered questions in perfect English. Very highly recommended indeed.

I got picked up to head to the family winery which was very helpful. It is a family run winery at their house. I got to meet their dogs and go down through their cellar. I would not say that the facilities were exceptionally clean and organized, which was a bit off putting, but the wines tasted great.
They did not serve olive oil or balsamic in a "tasting" way other than in the light meal that was included.
For the price, I would not recommend. Also, as a solo traveler I would not recommend since you are alone at their house.

Dear Karlie,
Thanks for sharing your feedback. We always aim to deliver a great experience, and we are very sorry that we didn’t meet your expectations.
The winery is a place where we work every day, and unfortunately, especially on busy days, it can happen that everything is not properly in order despite the great effort we invest in keeping all our facilities as clean as possible.
For each product we serve during the tasting, we try to provide a clear and accurate explanation, but if you had any questions or curiosity to learn more about certain products, we would have been happy to help you with any of your requests.
I also wanted to reassure you that the place where the tasting took place is not our house, but the tasting room on the upper floor of the cellar we have set aside to receive guests. The type of tour you selected is private and as such does not include the presence of other guests during the visit. We are sorry if you have felt uncomfortable in any way.
We will use the feedback to make us better and we hope you'll give us another chance so you can get the nice experience we're known for!

Very delightful way to start my day. I appreciate the fact that I was still taken on a tour even though it was only me as the party. Many tours will not accept one person parties or even solo travelers which makes me sad. On top of that, I left my credit card there and my tour guide took the time to drive back to my hotel and deliver it. Fantastic tour and thoughtful tour guide.

We were visiting our property in Italy and arranged for a wine tasting with Annaluara. We have ordered their wine and olive oil for years. It was very nice to meet Maria Palma and Annalaura in person. We had a wonderful lunch and wine tasting experience. I highly recommend their olive oil and wines. We are looking forward to seeing them in the. near future in the United States. The view from the wine tasting facility is wonderful and breathtaking.

Good afternoon, I am interested in this tour and will be staying at Arco Etrusco between 7th-9th Dec. We will be 2 adults. Is there a specific time the tour starts since we have to travel to Assisi (1.5hrs travel time)?
looking forward to hear from you.
