We were staying in Tuscany and wanted to see the Siena Cathedral again or as some people call it the “black and white church”. I have been in a lot of Gothic cathedrals, but this rival Chartres in France for one of the most stunning Gothic cathedrals. They only uncover the beautiful marble floors only two months every year, so we planned our trip to see the magnificent floor. Siena is a beautiful little town and having lunch in the Piazza was wonderful. Not to be missed!

I have visited so many cathedrals and structures in Europe and this is one of the most fascinating. It’s design, the art on flooring, the sculptures, the paintings, the architecture — these make the cathedral of the most magnificent structures made. How religions can inspire such structure is amazing.
