- virginiacrofts12300Sunset Siena tour- Wine, food, sights and fun- Highly recommendedOn our fourth visit to Siena and without a car we wanted to explore the beautiful Tuscan region as easily as possible. Tuscan Escapes was a great find. Our guide Kiko was very experienced, efficient and managed to bring our group of 8 together over the wine tasting and dinner as if we were old friends. A comfortable mini-bus took us first to Monteriggioni then on to San Gimignano-the gelato really was excellent- and then taste local wines at a small family-run winery in the hills of San Gimignano. A stunning location, an excellent discussion about wines, Italian history and more followed before dinner in a private home. A beautiful 4 course meal, accompanied by more wine and a safe return to Siena by 11pm. Could not recommend this tour more highly and full credit to Kiko and Tuscan Escapes for providing a real Italian experience.
- U6261YZrandyp00Awesome day! What an amazing tour! Elio made it so much fun. The best day of our trip by far. We loved the wine tasting and all the beautiful views.
- diBiella5100Great full day tour with excellent guideWe’ve been to the Tuscan region several times but mostly enjoyed the cities and larger towns. We’ve always wanted to tour the wine region and some wineries but driving a car and deciding on which stops to make and how to navigate it all was something we weren’t keen on doing ourselves.. Mission accomplished! We booked two full day tours and for this one Guillermo (Will) was our authoritative and fun guide. Courteous, simpatico and a wealth of information on the area, wines, culture, …you name it. We had originally booked these tours through a third party and when we needed to make changes to our itinerary we went directly to Tuscan Escapes staff who were so easy to work with. Montepulciano and Pienza are not to be missed. The Val d’Orcia is as iconic and beautiful as anything we’ve experienced. We would wholeheartedly recommend Will and Tuscan Escapes for the quality of tours they deliver. We still have a couple more tours we’d like to do the next time we’re in the region.
- 622kerrys00A wonderful getaway to the Tuscan countryside and a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of Italy's busy cities.fThis was an amazing tour! Our guide, Juliana was so knowledgeable about the history of the area and especially the wine. She was very personable and the entire group really appreciated her. San Gimignano was a wonderful little town with great history. Juliana stopped at the ideal place to capture a picture of the city skyline. The wine tasting was wonderful. Filipe was the winemaker and was very passionate about the wine they were making. The fact that they mix 9 grapes for their Chianti was impressive but when he explained how they shade the grapes by hand to ensure they all ripen at the ripe time you could see his passion for the craft. Our Italy trip ranged from Venice to Rome but Siena and especially this tour was the highlight of our trip.
- Linda Q00Would definitely do it again!!Fantastic guide! Had been a winemaker so knew all kinds of helpful and interesting information. Went to 3 wineries- each different. Had a fantastic lunch at 2nd one. Got to see an old Abbey, and time for walking around charming city of Montepulciano.
- Randi J00Holiday in San Gimignano, Volterra, & MonteriggioniThe guide provided an historical perspective with extensive knowledge. A wonderful day of food, wine, and touring that we highly recommend.
- maryllmoon00Lots of fun!Wonderful experience! Our guide, Elio, was excellent. He was amiable and congenial as well as knowledgeable. He was also flexible, allowing us to pursue our particular interests, even though we had to break off from the group at one point.
- F6999TIrobins00Lovely wine-tastings, great tour guide, and beautiful countryside! It was an amazing tour. We had a personable guide / driver who entertained us along the way. We visited small family wineries and the hosts were informative and welcoming and the wine was great! We visited 3 wineries with a light lunch at the second one. Honestly, could have skipped the 3rd one, as it began to seem much the same, though the host was lovely. The driver was kind enough to drop us off closer to where our car was parked at the end of the day -- very much appreciated it!
- H6292ARkatherinew00Great Wine Tour to Experience 3 Distinct WineriesThe tour was awesome! We had the opportunity to check out three distinct wineries in the absolutely stunning region of Montalcino. The wines were fantastic & the info from our guide, free time to explore, and the group we were with made for an awesome day :)
- F5270ZNjilld00Excellent wine tasting experienceEnjoyed this very much. Tour guide was knowledgeable of the region and classifications. Explained the difference between Brunello and Chianti regions and grapes used for both. We visited 3 vineyards. All were excellent and some of the tastings were intimately catered in a home. I can’t think of a more memorable experience to enjoy wine. Thank you!
- Lauren C00Highly recommend. Checco was great!I did this tour with my mom and husband last week. Our guide Checco was awesome! He shared so much information about Brunello di Montalcino and the surrounding region and he brought us to 3 wineries that we really enjoyed. The group size was perfect- not too many people, so the tastings still felt intimate. The wines we tasted were fabulous and we bought several bottles to enjoy during the rest of the trip (and a case to ship home). Our guide Checco was very friendly, he was a safe driver, and he was very patient with me as I practiced my Italian and asked him countless questions about daily life in Tuscany. He also didn’t stress or rush us when it became clear that our tastings were going a little longer than planned (I <3 “Italian time.”) I would definitely recommend this tour!
- Inspire2171262684300Our day with Keko’ our guida fantastico’this was the perfect day adventure in chianti country with our knowledgeable and friendly guide Keko with Tuscany escapes, planning another trip now!
- cathyd20800Tour with JulianaWe went to Pienza and Montepulciano with Juliana yesterday. She was an amazing tour guide, very knowledgeable!
- andreeav53100Amazing experience ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️First of all, out guide - Guillermo, is a funny and friendly guy, with a passion for Italy, history and not only! 🥇 On this trip we visited a small town for coffee, then Pienza with the amazing views (here we took the lunch at a local farm with great pecorino selections, pasta and a delicious dessert). At the end of the trip we hit Montepulciano where we enjoyed the wine tasting and Guillermo was very kind to response to all questions that the group had about the wine, grapes, different kind of soils, olive. I highly recommend this trip! Big 👏 for the idea to do small groups!
- deenamh201700This tour was one of the best! This was a very small group tour, about 7 of us in total, and that makes it very personable and fun. Our tour guide, Guillermo (William, Bill..) was awesome, making sure we learned a lot along the way. We were blessed with seeing a couple of added bonuses: the small town and castle of Montereggioni, and lunch at an agriturismo in the countryside! Montereggioni is a hidden gem. Very small and quaint, but worth a quick visit. It's very walkable and so pretty! My sister and I really found it to be a great surprise! Heading on to San Gimignano was also great! This was the second time we would be visiting this town, having already visited it once on another tour, so we were more familiar with what we wanted to see. Guillermo gave us ample time to visit this place, so we climbed the tower to see the Tuscan countryside. What an extraordinary view! Tuscany is just so beautiful, and seeing it from the top of an old tower was the icing on the cake! Guillermo had been very kind in stopping outside of San Gimignano before we arrived, so we all could get a great picture of this place. He was very accommodating and patient. After San Gimignano, we were treated to an incredible lunch at an agriturismo place I believe, with our charming hostess whose place grows saffron! Her property is gorgeous, overlooking the countryside. All of the food is organic, and we were fed like family! We learned how to harvest saffron and how it grows. What a wonderful experience this was for us! We then continued on to Volterra after lunch, and we were given time to look around this lovely place. The Roman ruins were fascinating, and this town really surprised us. The roads were larger than other Tuscan towns we had been to, and it appeared to be a good size town with about 10,000 inhabitants. I would like to come back to Volterra in the future to see it again! Guillermo also treated us to a visit to an alabaster factory in Volterra with a gentleman who has been making alabaster for over 45 yrs! We saw the process, the effort, and the dedication that goes into creating some beautiful pieces! It What a talented man he is! I highly recommend this tour and I have to say that Tuscan Escapes did an amazing job! Please take this tour as you will be rewarded with amazing once in a lifetime experiences!

This tour gave us a great overview of the history and culture of Siena. Our guide, Elio, described in a clear and often humorous way the “contrade” of Siena and their rivalries, the building of the Duomo (and the city’s failed attempt to build an even bigger one to match the size of the one in Florence), the lives of the artists who created the masterpieces in the Duomo, and much more. We highly recommend this tour and our guide.

The tour guide, Marietta I believe, was wonderful and friendly. She went into so much detail about the history of the city, the people, the religion, and the architecture / art in Siena Duomo. Really pleased with the whole experience. Thank you!

I am so pleased that I decided to book this walking tour. Elena was an excellent guide who shared her love and enthusiasm for Siena. The walk was very manageable with just one hill to climb. The whole tour was delivered in English. It was also a good introduction to the city allowing you to return at your leisure to explore more fully. A delight from start to finish. I highly recommend it. Thank you.

This was a fascinating and fun tour, I learned and saw so much that I really got my money's worth! Michael was a great tour leader, very enthusiastic and such a good story-teller too. The choice of locations was excellent, from the Dominican Basilica (austere on the outside) passing many lovely details through Siena until the Cathedral... absolutely stunning. And continuing the tour inside was so useful because Michael drew our attention to many details and ideas that I never would have understood otherwise.

Claudia was incredible. What great knowledge of the city. She is really in tune with what tourists want to see in Siena. The relics, the history, the stories, all were great. The city was a little crowded itself due to a Ferrari and antiques auto show, but it was that much more exciting to be there on a day like that. Thank you Claudia!

Excellent tour with Elena, who was extremely knowledgeable and guided us with humor and interesting and amusing anecdotes. The tour was at a reasonable pace and covered the main attractions. Access to the Duomo was especially easy with the 'skip the line' route. Of course, some locals were crowded, but Elena managed our group well, and we were able to see the Duomo floor clearly. She also interspersed her narrative with dome useful recommendations of places to eat, etc. All in all, a very good two hour introduction to Siena.

Margarita was a wonderful tour guide of this beautiful city. She shared the history and culture behind this unique city. We learned so much and never would have been able to appreciate the city without her insight. Siena's Duomo is simply not to be missed, words cannot fully describe it's beauty. Also, The Basilic of San Domenico was very interesting and enjoyable. Highly recommend the tour. Afterwards, shopping and restaurants in Siena were wonderful. Just be warned that Siena is very hilly - but well worth every step!

Very informative tour! Georgia was our guide and she was great! We learned so much about the history of Siena. Really helps when you’re in a new city to understand what you are looking at. And skipping the line at the Duomo was great too! Wear comfortable walking shoes as Siena is quite hilly. Highly recommend!

Earphone guy was 15 minutes late. We appreciated that the guide went over 15 minutes to compensate. Guide was quite focused on Palio race while we would have preferred more of a general historical narrative. She did not seem as knowledgeable as guides we have had in other places in Italy. She also did not seem very engaged; quite a relaxed attitude.

We are planning to visit Siena on a Wednesday. Since it is market day, how does that work with the tour and order that sights are visited? Will the duomo be before Il campo so we may wander after the 2 hours I’m done?

The tour was great and you finish at the plaza after the Duomo so you can walk around- timing was perfect- we took the train from Rome, walked up the hill towards city center and the meeting place was at a church, allowing us to grab a coffee nearby before the tour began- might have been a couple hours, leaving us plenty of time to wander, then grab lunch and head back to train station- was a wonderful day and fairly leisurely- perfect size city for a day tour.
Cual es la diferencia entre los 2 tour a la catedral de siena ademas del tiempo
Ambos son con guia?
Si es con guia no es necesario la audioguia?
Necesito tour en español para septiembre
Gracias
