- 460kimberleyl0 contributionsBreathtaking tripAhh this is one of the best tours I’ve ever done! Bucket list trip for me and I couldn’t have hoped for a better guide than Luigi. He gave us recommendations for food to try at each stop. We had enough time to explore each place, with longer at the last place and he made a lunch reservation for those that wanted it. A really great day and I would recommend it to anyone.Written October 13, 2024
- Ann3770 contributionsAn amazing experienceI went on this tour recently, whilst staying in Viareggio. What a great day out! I’d highly recommend it to anyone wanting to visit the Cinque Terre. The group was in the capable hands of Luigi, who was a great guide, organising the group on and off the ferries and pointing out the best gelateria and eateries in each village! He really looked after us. Fortunately, on the day of our tour, the weather was good and so we were able to use the ferries. Seeing the villages from the sea was amazing - such a treat. The villages themselves were absolutely lovely. The whole day was a wonderful experience. I’ll remember it forever.Written October 8, 2024
- TommyJM10 contributionsAmazing ExperienceWe went on a wonderful trip to the two walled cities. We actually did Volterra and San Gimignano with a stop at the winery. The scenery and towns were amazing. Massimo was a wonderful guide who provided just the right amount of information about the region. I'm looking forward to another trip to Tuscany. Massimo also took us by "The Theater of Silence" once he learned that we were fans of Andrea Bocelli. He also tailored our day to fit a quick stop in Pisa before returning to the ship.Written September 26, 2024

- noelp7310 contributionsCHIANTI TOURThe Tour of Siena, San Giminiano and Chianti was really nice. Massimo the driver was great and provided a lot of information. However, I would like to suggest that when taking people to the Chianti tour, the hosts prepare a better platter than just a piece bread & a piece of cheese. Paying €25 per person for four sips of wine is no value for money. But a platter with some, prosciutto, salami, grissini and different types of cheeses would compliment the wine tasting.Written September 20, 2024

- storyjorie0 contributionsPisa & Florence from Livorno tourWe did the private shore excursion from Livorno of Pisa and Florence/the Academy and it was AMAZING. Our extremely knowledgeable tour guide had perfect English and had us enthralled the entire time, whether he was sharing the history of Pisa or giving us tips on where to get the best gelato. We went with our teen son and college age daughter and son and just had an amazing time. The car was also very nice.Written September 6, 2024
- Sherrihall1280 contributionsWorth every pennyThis was a private family tour (kids aged 13 and 8). It was expensive, but it was totally worth it. Simona was our driver, and Laura was our tour guide. Both were fabulous. Simona gave us a lot of info on our long drive there, and she gave us time to rest on the long drive back. We paid extra to have a tour leader, and it was great to have more info and directions on what to do in the different cities. We also wanted the classic Pisa pictures, so Simona gave us suggestions on where to take the photos. We paid a lot for this to be private, which was also great to personalize it for our family's needs. Highly recommend this tour company!Written August 31, 2024
- TravellinTeach280 contributionsGreat day in 5T and Pisa!Best day of our trip! Stefano was an excellent driver! We were able to see and do everything and did not feel rushed. We visiting 3 towns in the 5T, swam and a beach club in Monterossa and ate lunch. We also got to see Pisa on the way back to our ship.Written August 31, 2024

Towns are spectacular , views over the Tuscan hills fantastic. The trip and scenery all made even better by Luigi our driver and tour guide for the day who knew the area very well and was a fantastic ambassador for Tuscany.Written August 31, 2024
- 639bernardo0 contributionsFantastic day with Simona on Private Tour of Pisa and FlorenceWe had a minivan for 8 family with Simona for the day. As it was a private tour, we were able to shape it the way we wanted - and chose to focus our time in Florence, with a short stop in Pisa to take photos at the tower - and we didn’t do the wine tasting. Simona was fantastic - engaging and fun and was very happy to be flexible on the day. Her recommendations for our time in Florence were great, including a restaurant for lunch and a gelato stop. Thank you Simona for a great, memorable day. Highly recommended.Written August 25, 2024
- 423kaitlinf0 contributionsAmazing day in Cinque TerreWe just returned home from our 2 week vacation. I just wanted to say what a wonderful time we had with Luigi on our private tour of Cinque Terre from Livorno! Our party of 12 had and amazing time. I will recommend over and over again to our friends and family. Thank you for our memorable experience! We were able to explore three towns and a quick visit to Pisa. We came in on the Norwegian Viva at 6 and make sure you start early we booked for 715am . The minibus was new and very comfortable. You won’t want to miss out on this tour!Written August 16, 2024

- amysV1761JJ0 contributionsPisa, Lucca, and Wine Tasting TourWe went on the Pisa, Luca, and wine tasting tour. Our tour guide, Simona, was amazing. She was very knowledgeable and got us to Pisa early to beat the large crowds, took us to other parts of Pisa, and helped us tour the basilica. She gave us different options for touring Pisa and Lucca and made great recommendations. The wine tasting was a tour of the facilities and sampling of their different wines. This was a nine hour tour but didn’t feel like it. We were having such a good time that the time flew by. We had a great time, with a great guide, and would highly recommend this tour with Simona!Written August 10, 2024

We had a great time during this Bella Italia tour. Adriano drove us (me, husband and adult son) and 10 other guests to La Fattoria Poggio Capponi in Montespertoli. Adriano was a perfect host, he is kind and funny, and a good driver. In the second half of the drive he started giving us information about the Chianti region and wines.
On arrival, Maria received us and first explained some outside about the estate, the olive trees and winery. Then we went inside the old farmhouse into cellars, allong the barrels and the private wine collection. It was an interesting tour, Maria had a good story.
Next it was time for the wine tasting. We had a morning tour, but the timing was fine, we started around 11:30. We tasted 6 wines: 2 whites, 3 reds (1 'blend' riserva, 1 riserva and 1 super tuscan), and a desert wine (vin santo del Chianti), accompanied by some bread, cheese and cold meats, and their own olive oil. Maria introduced the wines nicely. The glasses were rather big, but you could throw away superfluous wine in small buckets on the table.
After the tasting there was some time to relax, if you wanted, or you could join Adriano for a small tour in the vineyard and along the outside kettles. That was very interesting as well. After this great morning, Adriano dropped us off again at the pick up point near the Pisa central station. The drive back took a little longer, due to heavy traffic going into Pisa, but that was fine.
Thanks a lot, Adriano and Maria for this lovely morning!

From the moment Adriano our tour guide arrived in his ultra comfortable, air-conditioned people mover, I knew we were in for a treat. Overflowing with knowledge and enthusiasm, the hour's drive to the sublime vineyard in the Chianti region flew by. What followed was an indepth, fascinating tour that included a generous wine tasting and a visit to the winery and vineyards. Stunning scenery, well organised and great value. Make sure you get Adriano. You won't be disappointed!

Had a really lovely time on the tour. Adrian picked us up promptly and was very friendly during the drive, taking us to see the olive trees and vineyard. The tour continued inside and we learned about bottling, the different varieties and then if course the tasting. We ended up coming away with 6 bottles to bring home so you could say we enjoyed it

With the exception of a delay on the highway due to an earlier accident this was a wonderful day out. Our Driver and Guide Adrianno was really very knowledgable about everything to do with Italian wine and Chianti in particular. He kept us entertained while we were stuck unmoving on the highway for nearly an hour. It didn’t seem like that as time passed quickly as he imparted all his knowledge to us. The wine tasting and tour was very enjoyable and it seemed like the other eight people in the group enjoyed it also. This wasn’t my first vineyard visit but it was definitely the most relaxed and enjoyable one. If you want a relaxed and educational day out this is definitely worth it

Locations are very nice, atmosphere very welcome. Limited wine tasting in terms of range. Just one Chianti DOCG, no olive oil tasting.
Nice tour guide with interesting facts during 1hour+ drive.
Visit to Vinci was also nice.
High price is probably mainly used to compensate for traveling by bus.

Tour was bought as a gift for my birthday from my daughter & son in law. Emmy was a great guide - very chatty and a great driver amidst the madness of the Tuscany traffic! Learned lots about Chianti and the whole wine making process. Lunch was delicious and Emmy lead the singing of 'happy birthday' to me which was a lovely wee touch as I had no idea she even knew! Would recommend the tour to all wine lovers.

Very nice wine tour! Our tour guide Massimo told us everything on the way out. Maria told us all about the wine farm and showed us no less than six different wines. For me a little too much wine to drink in an hour, luckily cheese and sausage was served with it. Definitely worth doing this fun tour

This trip is well worth taking. The transport is immaculate with air conditioning. The member of staff and tour guide Adrian was friendly, funny and full of interesting information, ten out of ten! The vineyard was stunning and the staff there were fantastic, the wine is really really good and of a high quality. As you taste the wine you are given the background of each individual wine and specialty Olive oil, meat, cheese and bread you get to accompany the wine is great. Overall a fantastic day out and well worth taking, would highly recommend.

The vineyard was breathtaking. We loved hearing the history of the house and how wine making became its source of revenue. The lady who led the tour at the winery was personable and knowledgeable. The food was light but delicious and paired well with the wines. The wines were all tasty! The only thing that kept this from being 5 stars was the tour guides. The one who drove our van was friendly, but she talked so much that it was a little annoying to others in my party. The one who drove the other bus was arrogant and almost rude to the kind lady at the winery. He talked over her several times. Perhaps I was confused about which roles belonged to whom. I have already recommended the winery to others. I would try to find a different way to get there though.

Highly recommended for those who want to see, learn about and taste local wine! Was driven from Pisa to a beautiful vinyard close to Florence (about an hour drive), where we got to see all we wanted and taste 6 absolutely amazing wines. Both the driver and lady at vinyard was very knowledgeable and nice and we had a great day. We walked to the leaning tower from where we were dropped off, so got a lot done our first day. You won’t regret this one

Hello!
We are 13 people coming to Pisa from Sweden to celebrate my 60th birthday on the 8th of August. Is it possible for us to go on this tour on the 8th of August? We are staying at the Grand Hotel Duomo. I hope this can be arranged.
Best regards,

Hi I am interested in the half day piece but we are staying at grand hotel continental in terrania would you pick up and drop us back? Also my daughter is 16 so she counts as an adult is she also allowed to taste the wine?

yes, I think this was the wine tour we took when we were in Sienna. The winery had portraits drawn on the wall of the dining room of the original founders of the winery and their job tasks. I toured there @ 8 years ago with the President of my company and he was wanting a brochure from that winery to share with some people and he is returning next year. But I cannot remember the name of the winery.
