Excellent would definitely recommend lovely friendly guide. Very entertaining great way of seeing Lucca. Very reasonably priced! You need to book ahead to guarantee your place.

This was a highlight of our trip! She is a delight and very easy to understand. We enjoyed the lighthearted tour through the streets of Lucca, enjoying the historical sites and local community vibe.

Absolutely superb way to spend a morning! We could not have chosen better! Our carriage was pulled by Luigi who is quite a character in himself, knowing where to stop on route for little treats from the shop owners. Even pawing at the ground and tapping with his hoof to ask for the next treat! The ride itself was brilliant and our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly and what a way to see a city, in and around all the narrow streets it was really something special! After the streets we went up on the city walls and it was beautifully tranquil and relaxing with Luigi pulling us at a gentle walk Luigi knew what was expected of him and behaved himself wonderfully. If you get the opportunity to take this ride definitely go for it.

We truly enjoyed our carriage ride with Monica and her horse Luigi. It’s hard to say which of the two is the star of the show They were both delightful. This is a great way to get a tour of beautiful Lucca.

Absolutely amazing. The horse Luigi is the most beautiful creature. We had so much fun. Especially when he kept stopping at different shops for treats. Amazing. The tour was great, such a beautiful city and the guide was lovely, so friendly and knowledgeable. If you have time this is a must of you visit Lucca.

This was a perfect way to see the layout of the center of Lucca. The guide, a very competent horse person, provided many details about Lucca that explained the development of the center and included structures that added to understanding the center. It was added joy to see children’s eyes light up when they saw the horses. And I knew that the horse knew where it could stop for treats but that was still fun to watch. Highly recommend the carriage ride.

Had a ride booked for the afternoon but the summer heat got too hot so the owner contacted us directly to change the time. Thank goodness. At 0900 it was ideal, we would have fried in the afternoon. Mainly of course the time was changed for Luigi the adorable horse. Unlike many cities and towns there only seems to be one operator so need to book. The carriage driver was brilliant at telling us about Luca and the history. Hilarious to see Luigi make his regular stops for snacks. Even at one point putting his head into a cafe and scaring a leaving customer! A must do in Lucca and glad to see the horses ( she has two who take turns) are looked after so well.

Superb way to see the lovely city of Lucca. Marika is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful and Luigi (the star of the show) is a real character and seeing people's responses to him as he walked around the city was wonderful. If you've got limited time to spend in this lovely city then take this tour.

Great tour! We learned a lot and had fun and laughs too. Marika is a wonderful tour guide, she told us many interesting things about Lucca and the history. She was also very flexible and waited until the rain stopped to start our tour. Her horse Mario also made the ride fun. Our kids learned and were entertained as well. A good deal for the price too. Book this tour!

This young lady and her horse are the best thing going in Lucca. The cost is low and the value high. They took us through many areas with excellent commentary at a leisurely pace that didn’t tire our legs. On a return trip I would certainly book her again.

Fabulous from start to finish! I booked this to treat my daughter as she loves horses and made sure this was a well cared for one...which Mario was. Great tour of the city with lots of interesting information which we wouldnt have got by wandering around on our own. Driver and horse were a delight and as we got longer than expected, was good value for money. Could do it all over again!

Incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and gave a great tour! Luigi was a great horse too! The entire tour was slightly longer than planned which was great as you really get your moneys worth!

We absolutely loved Marina, the famous Luigi and this wonderful tour. We learned so much about Lucca, we were totally entertained by Luigi’s visits for snacks, and so impressed with both Marika’s knowledge of the town and history as well as her beautiful relationship with her horse. The verbal commands were astounding! Overall, 100% recommend.
