He tied together a number of threads to provide a thorough picture of the region and it's role in Italy's past. Even prior to the tour he provided us with a fantastic lunch recommendation, and then conveniently met us there rather than a more distant previously-arranged spot. - mary s0 contributionsExcellent introduction to Lucca & PisaWe had a wonderful time on our full day tour of Lucca and Pisa w/ Pierino. He met us in Lucca and we spent the morning exploring the historical center of town. We had lunch together in Lucca, then followed Pierino by car to Pisa. The whole day took ~6 hours and, even though the heat was intense, we thoroughly enjoyed every minute! Pierino was very relaxed and adaptable. At one point he mentioned there were some Roman ruins in the basement of a church and we all said we wanted to go see them. So we rerouted and made time to visit the excavated ruins, plus climb to the top of the bell tower. We appreciated Pierino’s flexibility, knowledge of the culture and the area and for his excellent introduction to Lucca and Pisa!!Written July 23, 2023

Wonderful tour with Pierino, who is kind, passionate about his town, and he was easy to understand and to get along with. He recommended a restaurant for lunch.

We really enjoyed our walking tour. Our tour guide Pierno( not sure spelled correctly) he was very nice and informative. We learned a lot of very interesting facts about the very historical City of Livourno. I would recommend taking this tour. I’m betting we had the best tour guide you employ. Dave and Kathy Phillips

We really enjoyed our tour. We didn’t know anything really about Livorno before this so we found that we really got to know its history from the tour. Great guide in Pierino!

This is a perfect tour for those who have seen the major Tuscan attractions and want
to know more about the city of Livorno.
Our guide, Pierino, was the perfect host. He contacted us beforehand to confirm our meeting point and arrived promptly. He was friendly and informative, quickly putting us at ease.
Pierino provided lots of information about the history of Livorno, as well as sharing facts about how the locals live. His knowledge and passion about his home city were evident.
Pierino gave us a real flavour of the city and ensured that our visit was personalised. He was attentive to our needs and ensured that my mother, who was on a mobility scooter, was able to navigate freely and access all of the sights.
I would highly recommend this trip. We had a wonderful time.
