Worth it for the local’s perspective
Our guide Anna was lovely! The food was pretty standard, tasty Italian food. Best part was the history and local cuisine perspective!

    Great Tour!
This tour was wonderful! It was a lot of walking and a lot of really great information about the city and the food. Every stop was delicious and informative. I highly recommend this trip to anyone who visits Florence. We did it the first morning after I arrived and I am glad I did. I learned a lot and enjoyed the tour.

    The culinary joys of Florence
I very much enjoyed our tour with Valerie which was informative and entertaining at the same time! I took part on the first day of my stay, and it was good to know where to go back for a good meal or for buying really delicious cantucci .

Authentic, interesting, funny, great introduction to Florence.
The tour was really great, the guide had a great rapport with both the guests and the business owners we visited. It was really authentic, and at a nuts and bolts level great value for the price. I would suggest doing this tour early in the stay, as it’s a great introduction to both the food and the history of the city.

    Interesting food tour!
The tour was good with the lovely Valerie … just a bit hard to hear at times. Enjoyed all the nibbles at the different stops. Very disappointed in the pasta dish - it was the worst I’ve tasted anywhere!

    Delicious food and exercise
This was a great experience. Gordano, our guide, was knowledgeable and fun. We tried all sorts of things from 15 year old balsamic vinegar and truffle honey to fried dough sandwiches and freshly made gelato. There were special considerations given to food requirements, vegetarian, as well.

This is a fun way to get to know Florence!
Marylisa was wonderful. We enjoyed her knowledge as much as the wonderful foods we tried. She was very thoughtful towards my parents who needed a slower pace. We even went back to one of the restaurants on our tour for dinner! We’d highly recommend this experience.

This is the food tour you were looking for
I wanted to do this to expand my palette and try some authentic local food. I was not disappointed. It was such an incredible experience. Lorenzo made everyone feel included and was well liked by all the locals. Great guy and very knowledgeable on history of the city architecture and cuisine. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would. The best experience I’ve had on my vacation. Arrive hungry

    Great authentic experience!
This tour was a great value in comparison to other local tours and we had more than enough great food! The star of the show was really our guide Lorenzo though! He told us so many interesting facts about the food, the history of the city, and the culture of Italy! He also gave us a ton of great advice for traveling in Florence and other cities!

    Uffizi tour with Martina
We did a morning Uffizi tour with Martina with 6 adults and 5 kids (ages 6-12). Martina was the best guide we have ever had, for both kids and adults alike. She has a deep knowledge of the museum content, often pointing out certain things that we could tell no other guide did. But at the same time she was great at keeping the kids engaged with the treasure hunt/ trivia game, and also how to best navigate the museum, knowing exactly when and where to take a break or keep moving. As an example, for many of the paintings, she had the kids come up close and then sit on the floor, while she described what was so special about that piece. All of the adults learned a lot, and I was surprised that the kids were genuinely captivated and had energy for the entire tour. I can’t speak for the other guides, but would not hesitate to recommend Martina.
