Mau was fantastic. We booked him for two full days from our base in San Gimignano and picked us up at our door, explained the history of where we went and went above and beyond to ensure we had a good experience. Would highly recommend using him

We spent a wonderful, full day with Mau! He picked us up promptly from our AIRBNB in FLR in a very clean & comfortable Mercedes van. Mau was very pleasant, charming and extremely knowledgeable about the Tuscany area. I highly recommend him! My family was not exactly sure where we wanted to spend the day, and Mau made some suggestions, which we followed and I am glad we did. The town of San G is very charming for first-timers to the area. Later at Casa Emma we enjoyed a tour, followed by wine tastings paired with a fabulous lunch, in a very lovely setting. It is much more enjoyable to try the wines with food, and the food was delicious. And, YES, we did order wine to ship home! All day long the landscapes and surroundings were gorgeous, and Mau made sure to show us some particularly lovely views. It was a terrific day, and after having spent the previous 2 days on foot seeing the sights of the city of FLR it was a very welcome respite for our feet.

Mauricio is so knowledgeable, and has amazing tours/trips and can do just about whatever you could want. The biggest question many have is it worth the added cost to have a private car/guide since you could go to any of these places in a rental car, but to not have to worry about driving along with the added history and insight he provides, plus his recommendations/connections for activities is priceless!

Maurizio took eight of us on tours of Florence, Orvieto, Tuscany, Cinque Terre, Assisi, Pisa, Lucca, Siena, just to name a few of the places in the week we were in Florence and Tuscany. His expertise in knowing the area and it's history made for an educational, informative and all around great experience. And if we needed anything, a stop would be made so we could pick up whatever we needed. If he was unavailable, his other guides like Guido, were first rate as were the vehicles we rode in. They were always punctual picking us up. The eight of us all felt we in great hands and were happy we booked with Maurizio. It was a great week of seeing and learning about Italy. Would definitely book with Mau again.

We were on a cruise so we only had one day in Florence and we wound up being referred to Mau by another tour driver. I had expressed that since we had such a long drive from and to the port that I really wanted a driver that could tell us much about Florence and Maurizio was one of the guides that he recommended. I am so glad we went with him as he really did make the day and the drives interesting. There were 6 of us and he picked us up at the cruise port in Livorno and we headed straight to Florence. He took us up to Michelango Hill so we could get our bearings and understand where we were going. He explained many things to us in our short time there before taking us down into the town. It was difficult to get around the day we were there due to a marathon but Mau did his very best for us. It happened to be raining a little and Mau even provided all of us with umbrellas! We had time to go out on our own for a bit and then we met back up with him for our guided tour of the Accademia. He was wonderful in the museum and told us so much. He definitely made it more interesting with all of his stories and information! Once we finished in Florence he took us to Pisa for a short stop to see the leaning tower. He then took us back to the ship and we made it in good time. That is always a concern when you book a private tour not through the cruise line. He was a wonderful and professional guide and I definitely recommend him! Especially if you want a guide that will be talkative and informative!

We were pleased to have 2 vans available to take 12 of us from the center of Tuscany to Cinque Terre. Mau was unavailable to he had two of his tour guides meet us at our villa outside of Greve. They were on time and drove us almost 3 hours to Cinque Terre. I would not have wanted to make that drive! However, the long drive was worth it as Cinque Terre is one of a kind. We would have liked to have more time there before heading back but it was a long day. I would recommend their services out of Tuscany!

Maurizio took my husband and I on a fantastic tour of Chianti. I would highly recommend utilizing his services. The tour was great, very fun and informative. I would definitely ask Mau for another tour on my next visit!

We used Maurizio for 3 tours. A wine tour in Tuscany, a morning tour of Florence and a driving/tour of Cinque Terre. All were absolutely wonderful....full of information and history which really put things in perspective for our whole trip. The wineries we visited not only had great wine, but were beautiful and local....you got to meet and talk to the owners. The overview of Florence allowed us to manage the rest of our visit in Florence so much easier and the driver/guide in Cinque Terre was invaluable in getting us around to be able to see things from a variety of perspectives. I would highly recommend using Maurizio for your travel in the Florence/Tuscany area. His communication was timely and thorough....very enjoyable experience all around.

We used Mau for 3 days in Tuscany for 2 families with teens. We went to Chianti region, Sienna, Montalcino etc :) He took us to some great places including our lunch stops. He was always professional and informative. He also communicated extremely well and promptly over email prior to our trip. I highly recommend him!

My wife and I traveled to Tuscany to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. We booked into a wonderful hotel south of Florence, Borgo Scopeto, and planned to tour the Tuscan region. Even though we had a rental car, we did want a bit of structure to our tours. Based on the strong recommendation from some friends, we contacted Maurizio Bellini to arrange a guided tour. Based on our general objectives he suggested two one day tours.. one to the east of our hotel and then one to the west. During our tours we visited Volterra and San Gimignano and then Montepulciano and Pienza. Maurizio was a true expert on the region's history. He was entertaining and educational. He gave us a terrific briefing while we drove to our locations and then prepped us to "wander" through each location. He also had organized reservations for lunch at truly wonderful restaurants. He arrived on time, drove very carefully and simply was a true professional. And, his English was quite good! If you wish to have a fun time and learn a bit about this wonderful region, call Maurizio!

We were lucky enough to have a week of visiting the cities all over Tuscany with Mau.. First of all, he is an excellent driver which means I was relaxed and enjoyed our trips every day. He is professional, reliable, knowledgeable and very friendly to be with. He knew what the weather would be each day and planned our trips accordingly. Our drives to each village was informative and we had a good Understanding of the history of each place along with the knowledge of the various grapes and wines of the different regions. Mau knows many of the wine makers personally so we had some very private lunches at the vineyards along with wine tastings that were perfect. We were able to purchase wine and olive oil to have shipped home as well. His restaurant recommendations for Florence were fantastic and gave us insight into where the locals eat .

We did not realize that one cannot simply drive into Sienna without a special permit, otherwise the electronic eye will capture your license plate and issue a ticket! Mau gave us a very informative and historical motor tour and then set us free to roam as we wished for about three hours, and what a fascinating vibrant and ancient city to do that! Then it was on to a young couple's new home in their Chianti vineyard for a five course meal that was to die for! And of course wine that paired perfectly with each course. But the BEST part of the tour was Mau himself -- our own personal and gregarious Tuscan historian and guide! You're the best Mau and we want you back on our next trip!
