      Fantastic Tuscany/Chianti Wine Tour
We loved our Tuscany wine tour! We visited 3 beautiful & scenic wineries in the Chianti region, tasted great wines & had delicious cheeses, meats & breads to go with the wine. The final stop at an amazing butcher shop in Greve was a truly unique experience! I highly recommend this tour!

      True Italian countryside cooking experience
We had an incredible experience on this tour. Originally, I had planned to book a different tour, but it sold out, so I chose this one instead. I'm so glad I did because it turned out to be the best day we spent in Italy. Luciana and Renato are such warm hosts who made it incredibly personalized experience for us, teaching us the Italian way of cooking with the freshest ingredients from their garden and local produce. We made several pizzas and learned various techniques while enjoying the company of our wonderful hosts and the stunning views of Tuscany. I will certainly visit Luciana and Renato on our next trip to Italy. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an authentic Italian cooking experience and learn about Italian cooking culture.

The tour of a lifetime thanks to an amazing guide…
Alessandro (I pray l have his name correct) was a wonderful guide! We were on his May 7th tour. He was so knowledgeable explaining the history of everything we were seeing and took us to a delightful seaside lunch! He was kind and patient enduring all the pictures my daughter and I took.;) At the end of our trip when he dropped us off at the meeting point, he noticed we were a bit unsure how to call a taxi and get back to our hotel. He took it upon himself to call a taxi for his which was so kind. I will definitely book this tour again!!

Authentic Italian Food and Hostory with Outstanding Scenery
Experience authentic Italian cuisine, comfortable transportation, and exceptional hosting with a friendly local on this tour! We were fortunate to have Luciana as our guide—warm, kind, and funny, she shared a wealth of knowledge throughout the journey. Being the only two on the tour, traveling in the spacious Jaguar allowed us to relax and savor the drive. I highly recommend taking the time to venture beyond the city and explore the breathtaking Italian countryside. In Sienna, dive into history as you wander through its hilly, cobblestone streets. The stunning churches and delectable tastings of special meats, cheeses, and sweets are a delightful prelude to the day. Our next destination was Monteriggioni for a sumptuous lunch! Luciana expertly curated a diverse array of fresh, flavorful Italian dishes, accommodating our dietary needs, especially for those with celiac disease—no worries about cross-contamination here. Don't miss the opportunity to visit the charming museum, where you can even dress up as a knight, and browse through souvenirs from Assassin's Creed (Monteriggioni was its inspiration). San Gimignano was a picturesque marvel! Indulge in the world's best gelato and explore a palace and local stores amidst the breathtaking scenery. En route back, we paused at Michelangelo’s Square for stunning views across Florence, capturing memorable moments, including a snapshot with a Ferrari. Normally a wine tasting is included but we asked to skip since I was feeling a little unwell. This tour is outstanding value for money, every meal (including wine) and delight is expertly taken care of, making it incredibly reasonable considering the distance and all the inclusions. We are immensely grateful for Luciana’s hospitality and kindness. Despite not feeling my best, her helpful tips throughout the day made a significant difference. Luciana is not only a fantastic storyteller but also a genuinely warm and funny host. Don’t miss out on this unforgettable journey!

      A “must do” tour
This tour was phenomenal! It was well worth the money. We got SO much out of the trip - Lucina and her company are excellent. Lucina had so much knowledge about the history and art as well as the culinary components (food and wine). We got to experience a restaurant and wine tasting that was so authentic and unique. 10/10 overall!

      A memory for a lifetime!
This is our second tour with Luciana, we booked a Siena tour first and then she recommended this new activity now active in her tours organization. This was absolutely wonderful and we are so grateful she mentioned it to us. We were lucky because we got such a lovely weather that day, it felt like summer! So sunny and warm and the views were just magical! This is a short tour but it has got everything you need to experience real Tuscany! The hike was really easy but interesting and Luciana told us so many stories about the area, we ended the walk with a lovely aperitivo in her stunning house with an unbelievable view from the hill. She welcomed us like we were part of her family and we just could not ask for a better day! Do yourself a favor and book this experience, you will remember it forever!

The must-book tour to Cinque Terre!
Words cannot describe how much my family and I enjoyed our day in Cinque Terre with Luciana. This was the second tour in a week we booked with her and Tuscany4Explore because of how good our experience with her was on our first tour of Chianti. You must book this, or any other tour with Tuscany4Explore, and be sure to ask for Luciana! Firstly, Luciana picked us up directly from Florence in a private car where other tours were making us take the train closer to the Cinque. Luciana describe for us the Tuscan countryside as we drove the two hours to Cinque Terre, which made us feel like we were learning along the way. Luciana took care of everything, from train tickets and times between the Cinque Terre cities, stops for rest and snacking, and time to shop. She modulated the tour according to our goals for the trip (ex. should we go to the castle or the church with our free time), and the tailored experience made it feel even more special. Luciana also knew everyone in town, from shopkeepers to bus drivers to restaurant owners and their staff. For lunch (a delicious and traditional experience in Vernazza with seafood pasta, pesto and excellent local wine), the restaurateurs hailed her like a long-lost friend. We skipped the line, sat down immediately, and were feted with an amazing menu (and received the best service out of the full tables around us). We ended up seeing four out of the five cities (more than the three advertised) and had a comprehensive and excellent day in Italy's most beautiful area. Book this trip, ask for Luciana, and prepare to experience the best that Italy has to offer.

      Amazing day with amazing food!
Luciana's tour of San Gimignano and Siena was an absolute delight from start to finish. Her expertise in art and history enriched every moment, making the ancient streets and ruins come alive with significance. The highlight was the delicious lunch at a local trattoria, showcasing the best of Tuscan cuisine. Luciana's seamless planning ensured ample time for exploration, allowing us to savor every sight and flavor. In short, Luciana's tour is a must-do for anyone seeking a memorable journey through Tuscany's treasures. Grazie mille, Luciana, for an unforgettable experience!

Do you want the real, authentic Tuscany? Then only trust these locals...
There are dozens of cookie cutter winery tours - but this was a whole different experience. We took the all-day wineries tour from Florence. Our host, Luciana, came from a family who came to Florence in the 1300s, and right from the start, it was clear we were in for a treat. We spent the day racing through the green valleys and cobblestoned towns, picking out hidden gems - Machiavelli's birthplace here, Vespucci's family home there - and learning so much about the real history of the region. She took us to two beautiful family vineyards, where we were treated like family too - sitting with the dog, getting course after course of impactful Chianti wines while munching on artichokes and cheese made on site. Maurizio Brogioni's vineyard was so special I felt like we made a friend. Then, we snuck through towns that felt trapped in the Medieval times, stopping at this outstanding butcher, where we learned so much about the incredible food artistry of the region. We really appreciated meeting locals at each stop and hearing their stories. Logistics were easy: flawless pick-up, everything as described, lots of personal attention. Also - a lot of wine/food tours try to push you to buy at the sites. This tour never did: I consider that really important. I also love that it's a woman-owned small business rather than some big, soulless outfit. Luciana always made sure we were happy, and we are already planning our next trip back to go with her to Volterra.

      Wine Castle Tour
Luciana set up a wonderful experience for our group. The two wineries she took us to were absolutely beautiful and the people who ran them were extremely knowledgeable and did a fantastic job educating us about their passions - the wine! If you are in Florence and are looking for an authentic Tuscan wine tasting experience this is an excellent way to spend the day!

Terrible experience. Do not book if you want to see any of the towns
Do not book this tour if you want to see anything in either of the towns especially San Gimignano. This tour was overall extremely disappointing. Everything was very very rushed. There was no time allowed for in San Gimignano despite what is detailed in the tour description. We spent a max 20 minutes there and that was to get the gelato. No free time was given at all. I understand that one member of the group was injured but that should not have detracted from my experience. In Volterra it was a very similar story. We were rushed through the museum and barely had a chance to look at anything. And when I stopped to take a photo it was as if I was inconveniencing the guide. Furthermore the tour guide Luciana was constantly making comments on how we needed to move faster in order to see everything in Volterra which I found very frustrating as I would have much rather done things at a slower pace even if we didn’t get to see everything. To top it off when the tour guide asked if we wanted to stop at a beautiful spot that looks back towards San Gimignano, some members of the group didn’t and some did ( myself included ) however it was decided that we weren’t going. It was very disheartening to have my voice ignored and not considered especially since I paid for this trip just like the other group members. I will not be booking anything in the future with this company. If I could give zero stars I would.

      Exceptional Florence Tour
Francesco and Francesca were so great to walk around Florence. They provided so much context to all the amazing things we were seeing. They both knew so much about the area, and not just the area as it is today but what it was like long ago. It was great also not being in a large group so we could have conversations with them and get all our questions answered. They were super personable and so very easy going. When we come back, and we will come back, there is no doubt we will look these two up again and go on any tour they are providing. Can’t express our appreciation enough on the tour they provided.

What a fabulous day! We had a private tour for 4 of us with Luciana, which was a great day out eating and drinking. She let us adjust the day to our preferences as we went, and we visited both smaller family-owned wineries as well as a larger villa-style winery. It was great to get both experiences. The stop at the butcher in Greve was a favourite of our whole trip to Italy. Would definitely book another tour with Tuscany 4 Explore on our next trip! Highly recommended :)

We booked this experience via Airbnb after a lot of research. The trip was canceled, but their story kept changing. First, they said there weren't enough people even though the trip was on Saturday. Then, they said the tour guide was hospitalized and tried to upsell us on a more expensive castle trip. Next, they said the tour was going to be on Sunday instead. Finally, the tour was canceled after I asked again whether the tour was confirmed.

Luciana was extremely unprofessional. I had to contact them multiple times to see if the tour was happening. They should be the ones providing regular updates. It felt like this was their first time doing this. Either that or they got greedy and overextended their operations.

Like most travelers, we only had a few weekends in Florence and not getting a reply sooner made it so that we couldn't book anything to replace the tour.

Dear readers and customers of Tuscany4Explore, first of all we would like to state that this customer NEVER ATTENDED THE TOUR so this review is based only on a perception. Our clients are very happy with our services and on Airbnb we count over 1.500 beautiful reviews :) Regarding this case: we had to cancel the tour, that is correct, with FULL REFUND, because we had a few issues on June 24th. We have a few tours running (not only the Chianti experience) and on that particular day we had only 2 customers booked on the wine experience, so we tried to offer a new solution to the client. Also, our guide had a serious personal medical issue and we weren't able to host this gentleman the day after either. We canceled with full refund right after having informed our client but most importantly after having tried all the options we could to keep the tour confirmed. June is very high season and it's hard sometimes to find a second guide. We always do our best to welcome every customer request, as you can see from other comments, but if we cannot provide a service it's our priority to refund and offer new alternatives. Thank you all for taking the time to read.
