When planning a Florence itinerary, my friend and I figured a cooking class would be a fun way to spend and evening, learn something, and fit in dinner. We browsed the many options on trip advisor and settled on this one because, while a bit pricier (keep reading to understand why… and why it was so worth it), we preferred the menu to be cooked and shared. We booked for November, a quieter month for tourism, resulting in a private class. Luca was eager to teach and talk. Luca hosts in his own home, where you cook and then dine with his lovely wife and daughter, which makes the entire experience feel like a night immersed in, beyond just the Italian culture, immersed in an Italian family. It was truly a one of a kind experience— having booked other cooking classes across Italy, no large group, broad instruction formats compare to the quality time and value Luca creates. This was one of the coolest parts of our trip to Florence! Highly recommend!!

Carlo was awesome. He was so welcoming and it was more than just a cooking class. We talked and got to know each other (and his adorable dog!). It ended up being just my partner and I and it was actually the only experience during our trip that we planned in advance. We feel like we learned 3 recipes and made a new friend. Thank you, Carlo!

We had the best cooking experience in Max's beautiful home!! We felt like guests not just like tourists. Max is so knowledgeable and kind we learned much more than just how to cook. I would 100% opting for a Cesarine cooking experience!

It's a nice activity to do because you get to see a little bit of the lifestyle of the teacher. We ate together and even the dog gave me a nice welcome 😊

Best part of our visit to Florence! We learned how to prepare two types of pasta (ravioli and spaghetti) and WONDERFUL sauces to go with them 😋 We also got to spend great time with our Chef and at the end even have the dinner with his and ours families. Oh! And the tiramisu was the best we’ve ever had!
At the end we left with great memories, wonderful recipes, abilities to cook new dishes, and many lots of recommendations what to visit and where to shop all around the Tuscany 🍅🍇🍕🥫🍝🍷🍽
Highly recommend this experience to all foodies!

What an amazing experience and a MUST DO if you’re visiting in Florence. Get to experience the culture of a local Tuscan home and learn to make pasta and desert from a local Italian chef. Would do again in a heartbeat. Also an amazing host.

This was one of our highlights of our Florence trip! Massimiliano was charming and took great delight in showing us how to prepare 2 Italian dishes and desserts. His pride and love for Italian cooking was so evident and made us feel so welome in his home. Not only did we enjoy teh actual preparation of the dishes but also the conversation that ensued over the delicous pasta, tiramisu and wine. We can't wait to try these new recipes on our friends. We will always remember Massimilaono (Max's) hospitality. We hghly recommend this experience.
