A fun way to explore Florence as a family!
This was a great way to keep my teenage boys engaged while we explored Florence and learned about its history! We got to see parts of the city we wouldn't have known to explore ourselves and was really fun! Highly recommend!

      Not the best bike tour
I have done many bike tours in large cities, including Florence on a prior trip. This was my least favorite experience. Our guide was not enthusiastic and did not explain things well. It felt fairly rushed.

Great way to get to the best viewpoint over Florence
Excellent way to whizz round a lot of the main sights and work out where to go later along with useful tips from a local guide. It is also a quick and easy way to get to the best viewpoint over Florence. Good bikes that the 2 hour journey easy.

      Excellent cycling florence
We thoroughly enjoyed this cycling experience! We got to see views of Florence from the streets to the hilltops. It was very do-able because of the electric bikes. Our guide, Kevin, was excellent! Full of enthusiasm and information and very kind!

      Worst tour experience ever...
This was the worst experience I have ever had on my holiday. The staff were rude and unorganised. They made last minute changes to my scheduled tours meaning we were delayed by several hours wasting precious holiday time and meant we had to rush through the tours and missed seeing much of what we wanted to. We were sent back and forth between different office locations multiple times as staff didn't know what was going on. Which meant walking all the city. The so called "skip-the-line" tickets are a complete scam and waste of time and money, as we had to line up with hundreds of other "skip-the-line" ticket holders. We were told this was just what happens.... This experience has soured what was otherwise an amazing holiday 😔

What a waste of your money…
A waste of money, why... First of all, the groups are too large, there were 15 of us in total and despite the transmitter the guide could not be heard. Secondly, he constantly shouts attention but does not pay attention to the group members. we regularly stood at a red light, and he just drove on without waiting for us. I could go on like this for a while, but the worst was yet to come. One of us had an empty battery after an hour, and some of us lost the group. Of course the guide did not realize this and we eventually drove back to the rental with the help of Google Maps. No one wanted to take responsibility and in the end we got money back for 3 people. and yes, that guide, of course, did not take responsibility for anything, not even the word sorry came out of his mouth. So give this a wide berth unless you like throwing money away...

      Time well spent.
This was for us a very good tour. It was on time and we got in immediately even though the crowds were large. Our guide was knowledgeable and experienced. This was a great value.

Tour Uffizi it is a must
We enjoyed the tour a lot, in 2 hours we saw the most important parts of the museum, for the kids it was long enough. We recommend our guide Julia, very nice and well prepared.

      Liars and Cheats
Liars and cheats beware Green Tour Booked with Mateo Wednesday Uffizzi 9:30 Academia 4:00 Bell Tower at 6:00 Trouble began when we arrived at academia and the 2:45 ticket holders had not even been let in. When 4:00 came and went and we had another tour we had our reservations changed to Sunday @ 9:15 by Euxheni. Sunday we arrived by 9:00 no employees there and metal gate down, so once it’s past 9:15 we walk to Mateo’s office, he says come in I’ll refund you. Go into the tour office and he calls some one then says “ his colleague “ won’t allow a refund. 58.00 euros or app. $64.00 Saturday 9:30 4 hour tour booked with Mateo Sienna San Gimigiano Wine tour Get to Sienna the driver says 45 minutes, we walk around and are back in time. Takes us to a winery and once inside they ask for 100 euro more, we leave. Driver claims we have no time for San Gimigiano but can ‘drive’ by the village’ 400.00 Euro or app $440 Sunday 7:15 Booked with Mateo Cinque Terre ( with boat ride) Pisa About 1/2 out of Florence get pulled over by police. Driver received tkts he said for no insurance on vehicle , later Mateo claims for not renewing something else. Sit and wait until 11:30 for another car. Arrives dirty with overflowing ashtray. Get to Cinque Terre have lunch in Monterroso, weather not conducive for boat. Clouds role in and sky begins to darken. We take a train to Manarola where I get to take a picture by the sea, but did not enter the village proper, then we returned to car. A combination of dark rain clouds and nightfall makes seeing Pisa and its tower impossible. Return To Florence at 7:30 pm. So we were supposed to see 5 villages, ride a boat and see Pisa, in reality we saw one village. 800.00 euro or app $880.00 Mateo assured both of us that he would issue refunds , but after calling the mystery colleague we will have to contact our credit card company! We feel the lack of time management, the outrageousness of being pulled over for lack of proper documentation on our car, the office near the academia not opening to provide our paid for tickets and the repeated lying makes them a company to avoid at all costs. Caveat emptor ◦

      Ask for Luca!
We had an amazing day tour of Siena and San Gimignano with Luca, who was the best tour guide we could have asked for. He was very nice and pleasant and made us feel comfortable and welcome. He was very knowledgeable and shared lots of interesting facts and stories about the places we visited. He was also an excellent driver and navigated the roads with ease and safety. He had a good sense of humor and kept us entertained throughout the day. He was very flexible and generous and did not rush us at any point. He even gave us a few extra hours at no charge, so we could enjoy the sights and sounds of these beautiful towns. We learned a lot, had a lot of fun, and made some great memories with Luca. He is a true professional and a wonderful person who went above and beyond to make this an outstanding experience. We highly recommend him to anyone who wants to have an unforgettable experience in Tuscany. Thank you, Luca, for everything!

This was a long tour, we covered both the Uffrizi and Accademia galleries, but one that was very enjoyable. Irina our guide to the Uffrizi was extremely informative and brought the history of the paintings alive. We could not have got this information from a guide book or recording. The statue of David is fantastic - quite inspiring! To offer one suggestion, a quick coffee break would have helped, but the tour was well worth it.

My extended family was in Florence for our nephew's wedding and decided to visit David in the Accademia Gallery. Marco, who I guess is the store manager, helped us book tickets to see David with a guided tour on 7/30.

The guide, Giacomo, was just super and took us around the small museum, explaining all the arts, and musical; instruments built for the Medici family. And, of course, the statue of David.

Great for skipping the long lines. Still had to wait a little in the security line but it went really smooth having someone to guide us. It was also really nice once we went in to have the David explained to us. I would say having a detailed explanation made the experience more worthwhile. This tour really only went through the David and nothing else. The guide lets you walk through the rest of the museum after the tour is over though. The hour for this tour is just for the David and not the other exhibits. If you’re wanting to go through the whole museum I would budget an extra hour here.

This was a joke of of a tour. The hour long tour started 30 minutes late to accommodate later joiners. The guide rambled about nonsense, which was not all historically accurate, and did an incredibly poor job of explaining the art in the gallery. At one point he pulled out his phone to show us a photo do Da Vinci…why are we looking at your phone in a museum that doesn’t feature Da Vinci? My family and I broke off from the group when we got a chance and just explored on our own. When we returned our headsets, no one even acknowledged us. Hard pass.

Great tour guide, very knowledgeable young lady!! She gets 5/5, But if you were thinking you were paying for a small tour group 5-10 or private as in only your family, you are mistaken. Focus was David no other art work was explained or rooms were shown. Maybe you have to request that specifically or choose other tour. Busy season, last minute, everyone was waiting under the hot, sunny skies of beautiful Rome at noon. Would book them in advance for cheaper prize next time. Kind of misleading name or would have given 5/5

Irina was our wonderful tour guide for the Accademia Gallery in Florence, Italy. It was our first trip to the country and of course we had heard a lot about the famous statue of David. Irina told us amazing stories about Michelangelo and what led up to the creation of the famous structure. Now that my husband and I are back in Michigan, we can speak intelligently about what we saw, thanks to Irina's comprehensive narrative, which she also provided to us in writing through a PDF. Thank you to Irina for making our visit so delightful!

Person handling check-in was rude, first telling me I wasn't on the list and telling me to go to another tour agencyTour. Then I asked her to check my name (and wife's_ on their data base and she quickly found it. No apologies. The tour started 40 minutes late without any explanation. I could not understand much of the presentation as the guide did not have strong English skills.

The guide was knowledgeable and maneuvered us thru the crowds very efficiently. The academia is worth seeing if only for the David and understanding the challenge and creation of David is key to understanding the genius of Michaelangelo.

It was sometimes hard to hear thru the headsets. That could have been a function of the crowd.

Hi Renee, Absolutely, experiencing Michelangelo's David at the Accademia Gallery is truly remarkable and worth the visit! I'm glad to hear you found the guide knowledgeable and adept at navigating through the bustling crowds efficiently. Understanding the challenge and the creative process behind David certainly enhances the appreciation for Michelangelo's genius. Regarding the headset issue, I understand it might have been challenging to hear at times, especially in a crowded environment. We'll certainly take this into account to ensure a smoother experience in the future. Thank you for sharing your experience, and I hope it adds to your understanding and appreciation of art and history. Best regards, My Green Tour

We booked the tour weeks ago. We received a confirmation email yesterday. The tour was scheduled at 11 am. We arrived 20 minutes early and were told to wait a few minutes. Right before the tour, another employee came in and said the tour was now at 11:30 because Tuesday is busy and they couldn’t get tickets for 11. We had run across the city and already waited 20 minutes to find this out. There were guests scheduled for 10am that had to wait until 11:30. They said they contacted me and when I disputed that fact, they said they didn’t have contact information. The people in the office were rude and obnoxious to everyone scheduled for that tour. I asked to cancel the tour and get a refund and the answer was no. It was completely unprofessional.
The tour itself was very good, as was the guide. My Green Tour, the company Trip Advisor partnered with, was horrible to deal with. I asked for money back for the loss of an hour and the fact that they kept lying to all of us. With a limited time in Florence, I would have spent more time at the Baptistery. This was my only bad experience during 12 days in Italy, and if they had been honest and apologetic, I would have been fine. The rudeness and dishonesty were ridiculous for a rather pricey on hour tour.

I would try elsewhere for an English tour. The skip the line aspect of this tour seemed the most worthwhile part. Our guide was knowledgeable, but her English was heavily accented. I understood about 70% of what she said and that was only because I had heard some of the information on other tours. My group consisted of a couple from Germany, a couple from Greece and a family of adults from England, I asked the English guests afterwards if they noticed the same thing and they agreed it was hard to understand the guide. For actual information, you get pretty much the same information from the free Rick Steve's tour so if you can book your tickets in advance, I would just do that (if you can handle Rick's humor - lol).
