    CANCELLED 3 DAYS BEFORE
Cancelled my tickets 3 days before our visit. I had to rebook directly with the gallery but they didnt have the time I wanted to visit since it was so close to the date of our visit. Disappointing

    Tout cancelled
The tour company cancelled with less than 24 hours notice. Try the official site instead. The Uffizzi itself is wonderful but confusing to navigate

Not worth the money, just book directly
Please know the Academia itself was AMAZING, however we got the meeting location and had to ask someone that worked there how to get our tickets. He whistles for someone and then out of no where some guy walks up to us and hands us the tickets and then leaves. It was very sketchy and we were very weirded out by it. The tickets were obviously fine but to us it was not worth the money to book through here. Next time I would just book directly as it is much cheaper than going through here.

It was good to have Medici’s underwriting all this amazing art!! And our guide showed us just how good!!
With so much to see in these two overwhelming galleries, it is critical to have a guide who knows how to pick and choose and keep it all coherent and flowing smoothly — and our lovely and so well-informed guide — whose name we have unfortunately misplaced — was the perfect person for that task. She knew the backstories as well as the cultural influences and impact of the events back in the day when all this incredible art was created. And she was able to clearly demonstrate how the styles and approaches evolved over time — and why! Even the economics — the business of art creation — was well-presented. We came away with an even greater appreciation for the commissioning of works and the resulting masterpieces that have found their home in these great repositories. An incredible journey, thanks to our wonderful guide!

No one there to meet us.
We couldn’t find the person who was supposed to give us the tickets, and there were no instructions about what to look for. Since we were given an address, we expected an office or kiosk, but it was just an office/apartment building. The number to call for help turned out to be in the US, so it wasn’t open (and they never returned the call later anyway). A tour guide down the street with a TripAdvisor sign gave us tickets, luckily. The Accademia itself was great.

    Find another vendor
The skip the line tour was great but finding the guy with our tickets was very challenging. The address we were given was not correct. I would book another firm. Not worth the hassle of finding your tickets

    Need a refund
I purchased this ticket but was NOT made aware that the date for our tour was FREE TICKET DAY in Florence. We literally arrived early and walked in with no line and were given a free ticket I to this amazing museum. I was a never even asked if I had a ticket. We have requested a refund and hope to receive a refund

    Don't miss the Accademia Gallery
This is obligatory when in Florence. This is one of the best museums and the presentation is top notch. Go as early as possible to avoid the crowds - we were very fortunate to walk right up to David with a sparse crowd around us so we could truly experience the magnificence of the sculptures. Gives me hope that art and science will win in the end.

Travelzoo, you should refund my money due to the chaos that existed with this vendor
TripAdvisor should not be associated with this tour. It is loosely run and you feel like you are being swindled. They send you to an address where is simply a door to go into six apartments. There is no one there. You have no idea where to go or who to see. After we returned three times they said there’s a little guy with a blue shirt that will check with you. After looking for 45 minutes of being 15 minutes late for our tour, the guy found us and took us to two different places before we were let into the gallery. Do not, and I repeat, do not book this tour.

    David was breathtaking!
We got in fairly quickly so the skip the line was super helpful. We did not do any type of guided tour or an audio tour which probably would have been helpful in leaving more about everything in the Gallery, I would suggest doing that. Everything in the museum is beautiful, seeing David at the end of the gallery when you round the corner is simply breathtaking. I’m so glad we went and would recommend it to everyone.

    Great
Florence was packed with tourists the last week of September and the lines for every museum and the Duomo were hours long. Time is money so it was worth it to pay to walk right in, and since we were 30 minutes early we got in at 2:30 instead of 3:00. The time spent gazing at David was far better spent than if we had waited in line outside in the heat!

    All about the David!
Only go for it if you can't find tickets on the official website or you can't afford to wait in the queue.

    Accademia David experience
The Accademia (David) experience was great. We picked up our tickets at the time scheduled and walked right into the museum. We did not take a tour, because we were pressed for time, so we used an on line audio to guide us. It worked out perfectly.

    The only way to go!
Of course we knew the exhibit would be great and it did not disappoint. Bonus that there was really good AC inside. But the icing on the cake was the Skip the Line, it is the only way to go.

What a con! We bought 3 adult and 1 child tickets, met by a man with a laminated sheet, said we had to show proof that our 15 y/o was indeed 15 and therefore a child. Not on any of the documentation provided did it say anyone other than the purchaser needed to provide identification. We were literally hamstrung, unless we gave him another 10 euros we weren’t getting in and would therefore lose the money paid out.
Felt like we’d been conned and robbed in one go, steer clear purchase your tickets elsewhere!

Dear Sir, We are really sorry for what happened to you. and we like to explain to you that Museums charge reduced prices for children. Museums sometimes request the ID of the children before they issue the ticket. If they don't have the ID museum will charge the adult ticket price for children. Please keep the ID of your children when you enter the museums in Italy. (this is only applicable if the children look like adults)

Experience was easy however found the meeting point a little bit confusing until we spoke with museum staff who knew of Destination Europe. You must keep an eye out for the Destination Europe banner who will provide you the tickets, they turn up approximately 10 minutes before the time. Generally an easy experience. Tickets are much cheaper at the museum however these are hard to obtain in high season but can be booked online in advance. Good ticket for somebody looking last minute.

This particular vendor is extremely overpriced, which we discovered too late. We paid $41 per person. We could of bought the exact same ticket directly through the museum for $16 per person. They sell you "Priority Entrance" tickets, but really they just put you in the museum's queue line for the matching time of entry. That's after you have to find them on the busy street to get your physical ticket (they do not have a physical location, just a strolling sales person that you meet). Don't waste your time or money. (The museum, however, is a must visit while in Florence.)

So thankful we booked the skip the line tickets. Saved a lot of time and cut a huge queue. The process to collect the tickets was a little interesting. Right on the ticketed time a guy on a bike rode up and checked our names off an app and gave us the tickets and put us in the proper line. Don't trust Google maps, the location is immediately opposite the front of the queue to get into the gallery, not 2 blocks down as Google would like you to think.

We purchased this tour and given the line which literally took the entire front street, we found our guide and the wait was 15 minutes, very reasonable. Our guide was very knowledgeable once inside, and provided ample informative commentary to satisfy our curiosity. She gave us time for photography which was important to me. We stayed about 3.5 hours. Overall, worth it.

The instructions to meet our point of contact were vague. We were asked to meet at an address across the street from the museum 15 minutes prior to our assigned entrance time (11am) which was great, but that was it. There were no signs to indicate we were in the right place and we were not told who to look for. We asked other folks standing around who they booked through and we stuck stuck together in a group.

Our contact finally arrived at 11am and did not even have the tickets in hand. He took a count of the folks waiting for him and then went to get the tickets. We did have to show our passports to prove the ages of the kids in our group. Keep that in mind to be ready. The contact gave us our tickets and then walked us to the door for priority entrance. We absolutely recommend investing in priority entrance.

Hectic trying to pick up tickets. Do not go early. A person on a bicycle will be at building #45 , 15 min prior to your reservation time. He will have your name and confirmation number.
The museum experience was great

I am always wary about buying tickets in advance for all the attractions in Florence regardless of the offers in place. I would suggest you wait till you are there and see what is open and what days. Currently there are still selling tickets for the Baptistery next to the Duomo, but this is currently full of scaffolding and I was advised that this cleaning work will take 5 years. So, if you are planning to see where Robert Langdon found the Dante mask you will have a job.

Skip the line tix are a must! We got there about 9:30 am Sunday and there looked to be a 2+ hour line for those without reservations. The local provider was right where he was supposed to be, but look for the exact address. Google maps will get you close. The ticket provider was not wearing anything clearly identifying him. Also, although our tour was at 10:00, we got in early. They have a stash of tickets but wanted to verify your reservation. I’d go early as it is pretty crowded. You can see the David in as little as 5 minutes or spend over an hour if you like.

My Wife and I visited Firenze on vacation and scheduled a visit to see the David. We accidentally input the incorrect time on the reservation and showed up at the time we thought we scheduled. Shahid, our point of contact immediately and proactively worked to provide us tickets so we could visit the museum when we wished. His quick-thinking working with management and with us enabled my Wife and me to have a memorable experience and am very thankful for his efforts. Many thanks.
