You will be learning from the real pros in the field! In this one hour class you will learn all the secrets, all the ingredients and their dosages, and what makes gelato different from ice cream. Then you get to put all that you've learned into practice by making your very own gelato flavour from scratch! But it doesn't end here...While your gelato churns away, go behind the counter and learn how to serve and scoop gelato like a real pro! It doesn't get more fun than this. - Getaway7720310 contributionsWe had a full day tour of Florence n a half day tour of Uffizi gallery. I’m not a techie n unable to upload photosSandra our tour guide is awesome. She certainly knows her stuff n gives me her knowledge of Florence and the way she has of explaining them to us is the very thing that endears her to us…. And marks her as a class a super guide. Then the following day ( think it was Dec 4 n 5) she was also our guide at the uffizi gallery. Her knowledge of the Medici family n the famous artists paintings that adorns the galleries were done in excellent form. Even the way she describes David in all his glory are the details that made David fascinating. To crown it all, she personally went out in the pouring rain to call us two taxis to enable my wheelchair friend minimal walk . Mycompliments to Sandra. Can’t remembered her last time but we were six. My friends family of 5 n I.Written December 9, 2024

- lfpshsu20060 contributionsPrivate walking tour of FlorenceWe were able the see the main highlights of Florence with our private guide Monica. Having Monica there to help us navigate the city, and museums was very valuable. We didn’t feel lost or overwhelmed trying to find the “must see” art and sights of Florence. She was with us through the exhibits to provide insight to the history of all we saw. What would have taken hours to research she was able to explain, and even interlink the people and places of Florence’s history. No wait tickets into all the exhibits. This city requires a lot of walking, but there were plenty times for breaks. This private tour was worth every cent.Written November 24, 2024
- Travelingbirds770 contributionsWine tasting, Pisa and Lucca with MonicaWe took several private tours and Monica was the guide on each one. The private wine tasting from Florence was great. Monica knows a lot about wine and we learned so much about the area and the wine. Monica took her time and explained all things wine in that area. And our second tour with Monica was a full day at Pisa and Lucca. Pisa was beautiful and most people know about that but Lucca was such a beautiful place. Monica explained a lot of the history in both those areas. Monica is a great guide and the driver for both tours was Alexander and he maneuvered around lots of traffic and we always felt save. These tours were wonderful. Ask for her on any tour and you won’t be disappointed.Written November 20, 2024

- angelalQ6481KW0 contributionsSILVIA is The Best Tour Guide - Private Tour of Accademia & Uffizi GalleryOur agent planned for us a Private 1/2-day Accademia and Uffizi Tour with Liv Tours. It was just for my husband and myself on our 3rd day in Florence. WE arrived on Monday late afternoon, and were so glad to be able to get oriented around Florence and save our energy and attention for Wednesday morning for an amazing tour of important works and collections at the Uffizi Gallery and the Accademia Gallery. What we hadn't known was that we would have such an amazing Tour Guide in Silvia! What a true treat and gift to meet her in front of the Cafe Rivoire in Piazza della Signoria at 10am! We only just met her and her effervenscent self which shone throughout the tour in addition to the pride she exuded telling us of these important works and history as it formed Florentine and Italian culture. A true and proud born and raised Florentine herself, she is steeped in local and ancient lore that she was generous in sharing with us. We had not yet had breakfast since we walked so much the day before, and slept in longer than we anticipated before the morning of the tour. But, Silvia was absoloutely charming, warm and friendly and even concerned we hadn't yet had breakfast, so we stopped first to enjoy our cappucino and steamed milk tea while she spoke about what we were to accomplish in the Private Tour. We could do as much or as little, and customize the tour as we needed as it was just for Us Two. We enjoyed our morning hot drinks while we listened just outside the Uffizi Gallery entrance as Siliva recounted the deep history of the Medici and the impact they had on artwork of the Renaissance and life during these ancient times, including natural science, medicine and intellectual thought. We were to embark on seeing highlights of both galleries, and there is so much to see! We are blessed to have been able to have a Private Tour, and not be on a large tour with a guide and a speaker/headphone set. We really got to hear and enjoyed having Silvia's extensive and amazing expertise and guidance sharing the stories around all the works we saw. We would also get to admire the 17-foot scultpture of David by Michelangel and enjoyed exclusive entrance and passage in to both places. But, first, we needed a quick lunch and we sat and chatted in a small cafe off the Arno with the most amazing panini and juices before leaving for The David! The care, depth of knowledge and extensive hospitality Silvia shared with us unmatched, and definitely was a highlight of our Florence Trip! Thank you again, and we will surely recommend Silvia and LivTours to others and share our positive experience with our agent, Human X Nature Travel!Written November 17, 2024
- Wilhelmina D0 contributionsWonderful Uffizi Visit! We did the masterpieces of the renaissance: Uffizi Gallery tour with Babi! It was so incredible. She was able to give us so much more information and context to what we were seeing. Because it was the off season, we ended up getting a private tour and it was so special. Thank you so much to Babi and to LivTours!Written November 17, 2024
- Richard P0 contributionsA Wonderful Tour With a Terrific GuideSilvia is magnificent. She fashioned a tour of the Uffizi Gallery and the Pitti Palace that hit the highlights of both. She has an encyclopedic knowledge of the art work, the buildings, the history and personalities - seemingly everything. Silvia is charming, solicitous, and her English is great.Written November 17, 2024

- thomasbD2653ZY0 contributionsDavid! We had an amazing tour with Monica today. She maneuvered us to the very front of the line and as a result, we were the first people into the museum. We had several minutes viewing the David by ourselves. In addition, Monica gave us great history and background information on the creation of the statue and Michelangelo. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and our time with Monica.Written November 6, 2024

He kept us on time and delivered us to Barbara in Florence on time. Barbara walked us around Florence and her passion for the city was clearly evident. It was a marvelous experience with two fantastic People The tour went from Rome to Florence to Pisa and back to Rome in one day. It was a private tour and well worth it.Written November 6, 2024
- Pamela D0 contributionsThe Best Way to See The DavidSylvia is a marvelous guide! She was easy to find, knew the museum’s staff, and how to get us about efficiently. We were first to see Michelangelo’s David that morning, thanks to her expertise. Sylvia’s enthusiasm and shared knowledge about the sculpture and its creator enhanced our experience. And she speaks English very well. We highly recommend her as a guide!Written November 1, 2024

- Wanderer7970690 contributionsExcellent semi-private tour of the Uffizi GalleryMy husband and I enjoyed our Masterpieces of the Renaissance: Uffizi Gallery Tour | Semi-Private Tour with Babi of LivTours. Babi steered us and another couple through crowded galleries always managing to secure us prime viewing of the pieces. She gave us detailed context for the medieval and renaissance periods including the influences of the church and the Medici family. Babi pointed out the artistic elements of each painting which gave me a new appreciation for the works. My husband said after the tour it was like having a college level art history class. The crowds are overwhelming and it is such an advantage to be able to skip the line and have a personal guide in the Uffizi. I highly recommend booking with LivTours.Written October 27, 2024

Our Family Gelato Making Class with Vetulio Bondi was nothing short of incredible. From start to finish, it was an experience we'll cherish forever.
Vetulio's expertise in crafting sorbet and gelato that's as smooth and creamy as it gets was evident throughout the class. His passion for the art of gelato-making was infectious, and he had a remarkable ability to guide us, even with our varying levels of experience.
But what truly left a lasting impression was the taste. The gelato we made together was, without a doubt, the best gelato of our lives. The flavors were rich, the texture was velvety, and each bite was a burst of pure delight.
This class was not just about making dessert; it was a bonding experience for our family. We laughed, learned, and created delicious memories together.
Vetulio Bondi's gelato class is a must for anyone looking to indulge in a sweet adventure and savor the best gelato they've ever tasted. We can't wait to return for more!

We actually did the private Gelato making experience. It was just us with the master of Gelato, Tulio Bondi at his famous Gelato store, Gelati del Bondi in Florence! It was definitely a HUGE highlight of our time in Florence. Learning the art of Gelato making from a person so passionate about his craft (he’s been making Gelato for 41 years!!).
We couldn’t have wished for a better experience. It was a hands on gelato making experience with lots of fun chats and photos! And we got to be the chief taste testers (as in we ate as much as we were able to) of the gelato we made! HUGE thank you to Tulio! We loved this so much! Such a special memory on our honeymoon!

We had a great time during the private gelato class with Vetulio Bondi. He is a 3rd generation Florentine and not only provides a great gelato making experience but some history of Florence as well. He was so good with our 4 yr old interacting with him and teaching him. He’s vibrant and funny and we really enjoyed ourselves

My 2 x 10yo children and myself enjoyed this experience. We made strawberry sorbet and stratticela gelato. The first 40mins was a talk on Italian history and then making the gelato. The experience was with 2 other people. We enjoyed however it was expensive for what it was.

My husband and I had a fantastic time joining Liv Tour's Gelato Making Class and Vetulio Bondi, learning about and making gelato in his family-run Gelateria. He was informative, but more importantly, so much fun! If you want to expand beyond the beautiful churches and sites of Florence, I'd encourage you to take a few hours to make gelato and to get a true "taste" of Florence.

Sig, Bondi is a masterful gelato maker and showman. The class was educational, lots of fun and our time flew by. His recipe and insights into gelato will make for lots of gelato at home. And LivTours made the booking simple.

I had a blast on the gelato-making tour! Not only was it tasty, but it was fun and informative. LivTours was great with communication and making sure I knew where to be and at one time. Our gelato specialist was renowned and taught the group so much about the gelato-making process. We made two types and they were both delicious. As a solo person, I enjoyed meeting others and being part of the group. Highly recommend!

Review is for LivTours Small Group Gelato Class- Overall informative and interactive, host is enthusiastic and engaging. But this class was a lot of talking by the host and giving information about gelato history, gelato making, science and techniques etc, all relevant but tough to engage younger children.
When the time came to make gelatos, host was very engaging with children, getting them to do the measurements and pouring, mixing etc.
The room is very small and chairs only for 6 people, our group had total 7 people, my child had no chair available, was offered a small stool. A bigger room would have been ideal. Instructions said to meet at the street corner for a guide with LivTours flag, but that wasn’t the case, we waited and when no one showed up, we went to Gelato shop and found the host there.
Host, though very cheerful and enthusiastic, did not take questions well, his answer to a question- ‘How is gelato different from ice-cream’ he answered by saying -‘Were you not here when I was explaining it earlier’ His conversations involved around how his gelato classes are fully booked and only time he doesn’t do tours is when he is traveling around the world teaching.
